:)
Nothing happens
Poor Mike, not even enough voice left to call them back
S-SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!
Also why does MIke even want to show them? Like, haven't they crushed his spirit enough?
Bless for your service, patreanon
>A slow page.
So every page in this comic
My nigga
>nobody cares about mike lol
it's all so tedious
>Chicken butt
>Call ends
>Nobody cares
Just one final push and Mike's suffering will be complete
I'm having a hard time believing there's people on other sites who take this shit like it's an amazing comic like everyone says
Probably hoping to get some cred on the whole gf issue since they keep bringing it up and is the go to thing for when they want to shut him down
Only now he is.probably about to be shut down worse
Do not read this comic.
amaya is cute
CUTE!!!
There are nine pages left in this chapter. Hopefully enough to go through this entire call instead of dragging shit out.
They have been carefully cultivated by the baggage bastard over many years.
New thread this time tomorrow.
The way Auggy is looking and Lucy :3
Why is he so perfect, bros?
Why is Augustus smiling?
They also seem to be separated into Lucy-Sue-Augustus and Daisy-Paulo-David trios instead of really being one group. Amaya doesn't count.
because he isn't afraid to take what he wants
The thing about Sandy never communicating with Mike has been hit upon over and over and now the other show is finally dropping.
It's surprisingly unexciting.
Because he knows he's gonna tap that Lucy ass some day. Unlike Mike.
You say that, but who says the call isn't going to be the entirety of the next chapter?
As patrician as it is, LucyxAugustus was disposed of with "she's not my type" as peremptorily as Daisy and Paulo are being shipped.
is anyone interested in the book exclusive chapters? i can get them all
Mike is such a cutiepie when he's suffering.
Mike said the same before turning around and going for an awkward, one-sided kissing attempt. Stealy boy will learn to appreciate his host one day soon. They already live together so how long can it take?
We very much are
Please and thank you
i'll post this one first and see what else i can get. i don't have some, but i have people who do
>no BCB spin-off featuring the parents as their younger selves, before the main cast were even born
I want more QT momma cat dammit
3/8
Do you have the ones in Volume 4 and 5? Specifically the one with Rachel and Paulo in book 5?
I have that one, can post in a bit.
>Parents are always working and never home
>your only sibling is a cunt
>your only girlfriend is long distance
I’d be an asshole too desu
Can you get these ones?
What about that Stacey one? Where she is being asked about playing an MMORPG? Someone said it was good. I had also asked about the Jordan/Matt one but apparently it was just Jordan being a retard and not-gay so..
Yeah, it's a shame because Augustus x Lucy seems to work alot better then MIke x Lucy, but MIke x Lucy is end game OTP - regardless of how cringey it's become.
Honestly not sure what Daisy and Paulo have in common besides mutual attraction - there is just zero chemistry there.
Then again, Daisy is kinda shit so..
4/8
You mean this? bcb.cat

>but MIke x Lucy is end game OTP
I refuse to believe so. At most, they might reconcile and start again as friends only, playing vidya together once more, but there's no way in hell they can work romantically. Not with all that has happened between them.
>Honestly not sure what Daisy and Paulo have in common besides mutual attraction - there is just zero chemistry there.
She's basically a little sister to Paulo, and Paulo got corrupted by reading siscon hentai online in the last year.
Goddamn is Lucy's mom so goddamn cringey.

so i'll be starting posting exclusive content from the first book and onwards until i get sick of doing it
>Lucy is even a cunt to her own mom
Seriously, how deep is that stick? Shit's reaching the event horizon
No it's this one..
Happy potato day, BCB thread
I still miss you, 232 :(

Taehi doesn't understand normal parent/child relationships enough. All the parents are pretty cookie-cutter and the closest she got to getting it right was Abbey's foster parents.
The Lucy arc with her mother fails because Taeshi refused to do any kind of familial reaction beyond Jordan being pissy. The times we do see Lucy and her Mom she just kind of glazes it over. Lucy's Mom was never trying to be responsible and look out for her daughter, ask her how she was or how she was doing in school.
You as a parent are supposed to fuckin parent, not just be your buddy-friend with your kids -even as teenagers. *Especially* after a serious tragedy like that, you'd assume most parents would up their parental role of looking out. Yet, Lucy's Mom let's Lucy walk all over her and do whatever, no matter what.
Like, is it that hard to ground your fuckin kid? Or set up boundaries? Or let her talk you out of having her older sibling watch over her instead of the rando poor kid from a gang you moved into your house?
Even if it 'serves the plot more' for Augustus to be there, it would've made more logical sense to have Jordan there too.
Instead, she assumes everything is fine when it clearly isn't until it's almost too late. Dad is fuckin non-existent until Augustus moves in.

>Yashy

>Like a bowl of candy...
OH NO YOU FUCKING DONT
Well I was gonna say, as someone who tried to commit suicide as a teen, Lucy's mom's behavior is kind of realistic. You want them to get help but it's also really hard to acknowledge your kid needs help in the first place, and if you fuck it up you can lose them forever. And just wanting things to go back to "normal" as quickly as possible is an expected reaction too. But you want your kid to be safe. But you don't want to smother them in case that's what lead to them nearly offing themselves in the first place. Honestly this should've been in the regular comic to begin with because it makes Lucy's suicide attempt seem more real because like you said, as far as her family is concerned it's almost like it didn't happen. Just showing this instead of putting it behind a paywall would've shown that as far as her mom is concerned, she just doesn't know how to handle it.
jesus christ
Shaggy taeshi is cute.
CUTE!
i have to skip a chapter because file sizes and i'm on mobile, it's just the aquarium exclusive one. if anyone wants it i'll do it later on
That one was leaked already, I can post the rip from the PDF book if you want
back when taeshi cared about her work
Yeah, but it's pretty weird to send her back to a school with all the triggers from before. It's pretty weird they didn't even try to get any kind of therapy for her and no passing mention of it.
Even if she wants her daughter to be safe and normal again, she is going about it all the wrong way - this whole thing is heavy and it feels like Taeshi did little to no research other then her own experiences in being depressed/anxious.That lack of research makes it feel like she doesn't care about the end product or being nuanced (though obviously, she wants to write deep emotional shit) she will never grow as a writer until she tries to actually understand it's concepts.
Life is indeed like a bittersweet candy bowl volume 1 by Veronica Vera.
Daisy being a jealous bitch again I see.
volume 3 recap
LIES
Forgetting the part where she rejected him first and made him look like a jackass
Would you join Sandy on a beach vacation, /co?
>it's a little awkward
This never comes up once except for feverish Lucy being autistic about him "being taken" when he tries to stop her from walking into the road.
1/4
>Jess wants to stay out of trouble
Eh, really? Is this a placeholder because pretty much her only characteristics is that she's a sour-tempered cunt and wants to fuck Lucy?
Is Roxy a girl or a twink?
2/4
A girl. She will have Jordan's babies some day, despite being a Tiff replacement.
4/4
do you really want to see the one of stacy and abbey? it's just stacy pretending not to be into cosplay
Why is Taeshi reversing the neat little character development a minor character got?
I know she did this in the recent gay chapter as well, but why do it at all?
Why is Jordan retarded?
It's supposed to be funny.
>This land is peaceful
>Its inhabitants kind
i'll post it anyways who cares
if there's anything specific you want better ask now, i don't have any bci comics besides the ones posted recently. been considering taking another one for the team and getting it again though
Damn Katie is stacked
>Implying he's not for Matt
Post "No Service" even though it's probably just "no sandy make mike sad"
I really hope this page leads to Mike being completely crushed.
I hope the first words to come out of her mouth are "I want to break up" or something.
I just want this comic to have DRAMA again.
i live to please
>are we really defined by who's dating who?
God fucking dammit, Jordan. Just bone and lock the orange nerdy qt and forget about the chocolate brat
Lol did Augustus really just leave her there?
I wanna fuck that mom
I guess Paulo uses David's phone because he's too poor for his own
Imagine, just fucking IMAGINE having the opportunity to remove Alejandro from the story by having Augustus snap a pic of her "dead" body and sending it to him.
And then choosing to continue the plotline of this inept "criminal".
He has two siblings, one is just a baby
Praise be to you Patreanon, the Yea Forums collection is completed once again
is this shipping
>That moment Mike realizes Polo is actually his girlfriend
Oh yeah! Didn't Lucy spend a couple months at a new school, around the time she visited Paulo at the hospital? That would have been interesting to see too.
I thought he had an Iphone somehow
Who says she hasn't? All we know is that Lucy doesn't talk about all that shit, no way she'd be allowed out of the hospital without therapy. Suicide watch exists you know.
9 months.
She spent 9 months there.
Taeshi seems completely uninterested in owning up to there being consequences from Lucy being gone for so long. She blew half the carnival chapter on a recap so Lucy would no longer be ignorant of anything that happened while she was away
lol
I'm glad Vero is happy
>They made an instagram page for Sandy
yeah ok, that's kind of cute.
She cannot be fucking serious.
I was pretty sure a big reason the comic has been so trash is she stopped caring.
It's trash because of suitcase. She used to be funny and, dare I say it on rare occasion, based.
I wonder if it'll get lewder and lweder until Sandy becomes a full blown InstaThot, signifying why she's been giving Mike the silent treatment
I kinda like the idea of a Sandy instagram. On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be any clear direction or central idea behind it.
I would so love a lewded version of the Sandy insta. You don't need much, you can probably do it by just editing the official pictures lol.
Honestly Alejandro has about as much revelance as Roger did.
All of her citation of Yea Forums culture came from suitcase as well, he was the Yea Forumstard one back in 2007. And he was the one who transitioned to tumblr culture in the 2010s, influencing Taeshi with that too.
Nah, no way, Taeshi likes to pretend this comic is safe for work.
I am however interested if we're going to see anything that will have any effect on the real story.
Like maybe she'll take a picture with some random dude at a party Mike didn't know about, and a few pages after that's posted on instagram it's discussed in the comic (assuming of course she's not breaking up with him next page).
It's such a neat idea that I'm almost certain she won't do it.
*relevance
>you can probably do it by just editing the official pictures lol.
LEWD EDIT user WHERE ARE YOU
It's probably supposed to be a performance/self-branding thing. The dumb shit about being stranded on an island and having to "find my own way home" sure sounds like it.
The best thing that could come from it is her trying to conceal her upset after breaking up with Mike and we can only tell because we know the whole story.
Holy shit, and none of it was acknowledged at all?
Requesting picture of Taeshi with a Suitcase shaped shadow
>Inb4 she makes multiple posts with multiple different guys saying that they're just model friends when their images suggest otherwise
Ignoring that instagram didn't exist until a year after the current date in BCB, are we implying Sandy would not have told Mike her instagram?
>The dumb shit about being stranded on an island and having to "find my own way home" sure sounds like it
>Inb4 it's Love Island
post yfw taeshi is going to start selling cat bath water with Sandy as the mascot
Maybe she did and he checks it all the time. Why would it come up in the main story?
>are we implying Sandy would not have told Mike her instagram?
She never calls. The only way Mike would find out about her Insta is if some else (probably Paulo) found it and told him
Reminder
Maybe it's a future instagram with a slightly older Sandy
I love Lucy's mom
>Yfw It even has cat hair in it
I have this old OC, I hope it sates your wish.
I'm sure they lurked Yea Forums until much later than that.
I vaguely recall a stream I watched a couple of years ago or so where she doodled the "mornin' Yea Forums! what's for breakfast?" thing
Honestly these two comics share the same problem of being boring as shit, but at least this one's nice to look at.
Yeah, about a year and a half ago Suitcase started shilling on Yea Forums to get a wider audience and get more people to donate for the book 4 kickstarter. They pretty much stopped interacting with Yea Forums after it was over, and after the /trash/ discord became influential
I know lips and mouths can be intimidating to learn how to draw right but they're so much fun once you get the hang of it.
if my memory isn't betraying me I recall Yea Forumss opinion of the comic was much more favorable a few years ago, I've always assumed they left once the threads became (much more) critical.
We will see. But I suspect those will be the endgame ships. It may not make sense. It may be forced as shit. But in the end it doesn't matter. So long as it ends how the authors want we will just have to swallow that pill. And never support therit shit afterwards. They may have got us with this. But let's not let them trap us ever again people.
Does he really think anyone cares that sandy is calling after all this crazy mood swings?
That's how it is for everything on Yea Forums though, if the creator comes here it's praised.
Probably not, hence why the voice breaking when calling them (the jagged voice bubble) and him quickly giving up on that
Yeah, tell that to Etika - its a mandatory 72-hour holding - while you can be in the 'psych ward' of a hospital it's not like actual institutionalization or actual therapy. Basically, they need to know if you are gonna try to commit suicide again or hurt others.
If we assume Lucy got 'proper therapy' it would be an on going thing. Like how she did for several chapters with Abbey? But yet, no mention of that in how many years since Lucy returned to the comic?
Not to mention having no lasting physical wounds from a drop that far.
Pretty much barely ever mentioned because it matters that little despite being the huge 'catalyst' of the story.
Lmao, yeah - there is a dozen ways she could've fixed this. Unless there is some huge fight again, it seems absolutely pointless to not wrap up that plot-thread. Unless we are to assume Augustus moving in Lucy was the end all, be all of that - which is even more stupid given how much time was dedicated to it.
Yep, it was just OH, Lucy's back now - let's go back to worshipping her!
Another dropped plot-thread, the two could've known each other or been in a gang together. Having Tess know the inner-workings could've gave her more reason to be in the story at all besides being Taeshi's bff's self-insert.
It is 'implied' he simply walked away - again, no real follow-ups to that.. Lucy spills her ketchup on the snow and then is all betters within a week.
It's almost as if we're in an alternate sequel to "December" where instead of trying to kill herself Lucy just comes to school on Monday really cross at Mike.
See also how Mike's sense of guilt surrounding Lucy's suicide attempt is ignored in favor of portraying him as simply being an asshole.
>delicious barely legal model
I don't know if it was the shills or the fact they finally returned Lucy - but that's when the Yea Forums threads started happening. This is when everyone was hype on the Lucy x Paulo train until that horrendous carnival chapter.
I think after that, we started seeing how poorly she handles drama in the comic and no other chapters since then have been hard-hitting or meaningful. Early chapters with Abbey and December were just kind of flukes -- now her writing was dumbed down, melodramatic or just shifted the characters personalities around too much. It became like every shitty high school anime drama out there.
I suppose people enjoy that kind of shit, but it was no longer a deep-emotional story building to something. We get empty emotional responses or over the top reactions (i.e. Mike this entire fuckin chapter) because I assume that's what they think sells 'drama'.
I think also the fact, again - Lucy didn't really face any repercussions for her suicide attempt other than being away from her friends for 9 months and her parents gently trying to control their daughter.
I mean the last heavy-chapter was Total Recall and that was almost a shark-jumping moment for the comic.
Lackadaisy's problem is more that it updates once in a blue moon. It would be a lot less boring if it actually updated on a regular basis.
FUCCK I MISS OLD MIKE AND OLD LUCY
We had three updates a week and Lucy had returned for the first time in years. Everyone was losing their minds.
>besides being Taeshi's bff's self-insert.
I can't believe Taeshi wants to fuck Lily.
i've never read this but every time I see someone post a page it's just them either crying or getting mad
When is this shitty Sandy storyline going to end?
It's weird the last thing he talked to lucy about before she tried to kill herself was that he wanted to start over and he didn't mean the things he said that night and she accepted, but now she's throwing it all back in his face and he doesn't seem to remember being sorry either?
After Mike goes through the five stages of grief and then maybe a little more when she just shows up again out of the blue for drama
I think "Model Girlfriend" was pretty good. Gave a lot of dimension to Sandy and communicated how shaky her relationship with Mike is without resorting to making her a villain.
Lucy is a bipolar bitch. Now it's just about feeling superior to him in the situation and giving him the cold shoulder for hurting her feelings
Curtain Call was in March 2013. Back then pointing out that Lucy was the engine of her own destruction would not have been described as problematic victim blaming. We have a whole new culture now.
>This is when everyone was hype on the Lucy x Paulo train until that horrendous carnival chapter.
The Carnival chapter was a mistake. Yea Forums always bashed BCB here and there but it was a guilty pleasure. And people really liked Paulo x Lucy
Then the Carnival chapter happened.
they used to lurk Yea Forums for sure i posted this on Yea Forums only and they asked me to post it on my tumblr so they could reblog it
they got upset at Yea Forums around the discord scandal
Best shitposting in these last years of bcb threads. It hit the sweet spot of concentrated bad instead of the dreary bland badness we've mostly been getting.
I remember when they reblogged this picture from Yea Forums on their main tumblr
I can barely remember what caused """the rift""" but somehow I feel it started before that.
Something about Luggage lad having a mole in the porn discord and banning anyone who was in that server from their server?
>Recognize some of my posts
That whole thread was great
i don't know i left the server as soon some guy was posting sock-knees pictures
No, that was the end point, they made their own discord after the braekup already happened. The breakup might have had to do with the NSFW discord being run by retarded kids at the time who at one point attempted to raid suit's IRC chat, and later with Suit starting to re-orient the comic towards a much younger audience, unsuitable for smut
Well shitting on Abbey is something they approve of.
National Potato Day is today, anons. Have you celebrated your favourite potato, yet?
the carnival chapter was when i blanked out completely. only recently i went to read the archive again i realized i forgot a solid 2 years of updates. once that chapter was done i've just been on auto pilot with this comic till i decided to visit these threads again.
not to mention all the shitty paulo x daisy shoe horned retconned shit that got added in the books to go 'see! see! it was planned aaaaaall aloooong!' i would've been fine if paulo x lucy had a better send off than it did, but no, we got what, 5 years real time of paulo sobbing over her and it's all over in a few pages and now he's calling her a bitch? this shit keeps changing its mind. why did lucy even come back
Yeah, but there was certainly a shift once we went full digital from water-color. Back then, some of the chapters did have more of an adult-air about them.. now it's just bland or cringe-inducing.
Yeah this always rubbed me the wrong way too. Some user said it was meant to end with Lucy actually killing herself and MIke reflecting on it under the tree they used to sit at. However, the BCB money was too good and they decided to keep pushing it.
Honestly though, even with that it seems really dumb she would still be suicidal. We know the ONLY reason she was like that is because Mike rejected her for Sandy and didn't want to be her friend anymore. She had lots of support otherwise, we never see Lucy being anxious or depressed or having issues elsewhere - it's just, oh my BFF broke up with me.
I mean to be fair, this shit happens all the time in kids lives.
I wish Lackadaisy wasn't as conservative as it is on certain things, if they played up the Noir aspect a bit more with more 'scandalous' things happening i think it'd be really great. Having a cop-character on their trails would be great too.. kind of like a homage to Lupin but a little less cheesy.
I masturbate to the naked cat children.
Between October 2016 and May 2017. I'll bet if you check you'll find 500 post threads three times a week.
The server owner at that time was retarded.
From what I understand, not just on Yea Forums but even in their little fandom the carnival chapter made a lot of people lose interest/pissed off
Remember: They took a long break after that chapter because everyone was pissed the fuck off beyond belief
The Carnival Chapter was the biggest fuckup they've ever done
That was when they did the Everyday Life recap chapter right?
If threads could have banners, this would be /bcb/'s.
Yeah, the fake lined-paper thing. They tried to pretend it wasn't bullshit by putting into the archives between chapter 94 and 95...but then later took it down. It was three-months of wheel-spinning because they'd pissed everyone off so much by ditching a years-long story line in a handful of pages.
I think so, yeah
People didn't, and to this day still don't, like the Carnival Chapter. Tae can't even retcon it without retconning everything from that chapter onwards so they double fucked up
It would work OK if Lucy was supposed to be a maladjusted cunt treating her friends like trash....but this chapter showed us apparently she's supposed to be cool and always right.
someone has the minicomic from last stream?
The PNG was too large to post so here's a JPG.
The first half is some unfunny anime gag and then an OK joke about Augustus being intelligent but ruthlessly practical about material needs (he used to steal food).
that man is a race car driver?
I was imagining a borderline wacky racer, not this tired-but-content man.
He's in his 40s.
>that little side hug from Mike to Daisy
cute
Actually it's been a point of 'soft retcon' because SUPPOSEDLY it hints at Lucy and Paulo having fucked during Curtain Call between the play scenes - as confirmed by some tumblr reblogging of fan-theories.
But a classic case of 'tell don't show' because they could've easily fit in a small flashback to the aftermath or how Paulo got so caught up on Lucy - why she was so resistant to being with him - how shitty she felt about using him for sex (I guess to not die a virgin or whatever her stupid af reason for fuckin him was).
Then she just tells him to forget her breaking his heart literally 10 seconds again to end on some shitty anime-like ending where she forces him into going to Daisy's party cuz Lucy knows Daisy wants Paulo's dick.
Thw whole fucking thing is dumb
No matter how hard you can try to make sense of it, the whole thing is just so unbelievably dumb
It's turned into sitcom writing basically. Everything reverts to the status quo.
>pic
Who do you think took this picture?
"""the rift""" started because there was a /trash/ server with a retard owner. After a few reboots most retards have been filtered out though. This didn't stop suitcase from banning anyone found in any server related to any form of bcb fandom because he couldn't handle the idea that people were talking about his comic without him around to moderate it. Even the most fucking benign servers weren't spared from his paranoid wrath. Sad really.
Well I got that edit done. Shall I go make a thread on trash?
There already is one.
Derp I meant to click not 109448431
>Who do you think took this picture?
I hope the break-up doesn't stem from something as obvious as her having a new boyfriend without even breaking up with Mike first.
Rather this might be a gag on the artificial nature of her account; she appears to have taken a picture of herself while asleep. Really, she could have set it up and closed her eyes before hitting the button.
Suitcase ships Paulo x Daisy, so that's PROBABLY why it's endgame, lol.
Paulo just has an idealized version of every girl he crushes on in his head, then throws a tantrum when they don't act the way he wants
But Daisy *~can do no wrong~* in his eyes, and it's always been that way.
This has to be a turning point. It's either going to be her calling to string things along for even longer (and the story would continue to go nowhere), or to use Paulo's call as the excuse she wants to finally break up with him.
She'll probably take the "He's right, this isn't fair to you, sob sob." route so she can feel like she isn't the bad guy by ending a relationship she's pretending she still wants after stringing Mike along with minimal contact for, what, two years now?
I genuinely don't even understand Mike's fascination with her, like, he'd never let his other friends treat him like this, so? Just because she's pretty and they had a close relationship when he was like five??
Also, I seriously can't stand the pacing in the newer pages, the composition is so bad, like maybe it's just me, but all of this negative space is just... why? I've never seen a comic with so much empty space on one page, or even inside the panels, consistently, like not even as an effect to add drama occasionally, just... as a design choice.
I miss the Acapulco arc. The art wasn't great, but it was improving, and at least the pages were dynamic and things actually happened. When there was negative space, it was used REALLY WELL (ie, Lucy falling off the land bridge).
But now the focus is more on making the pages and characters look overly cute. Idk. I've been riding this train for ten years, I can't leave until it's over.
>Paulo just has an idealized version of every girl he crushes on in his head, then throws a tantrum when they don't act the way he wants
lolwot
>stringing Mike along with minimal contact for, what, two years now?
She was clearly crazy about him in her previous two appearances. The "stringing along" didn't start until around the time Paulo went gay, and even then Mike apparently stood up to her about it on Paulo's advice and it got better for a time.
>Paulo just has an idealized version of every girl he crushes on in his head, then throws a tantrum when they don't act the way he wants
Fucking what?
I mean, he ignored Lucy's shitty behavior for years because he liked her. Then she shows him how terrible she was being, and suddenly it's "Why did you even come back" because it's about him this time, and he can't date her.
And he's ALWAYS on Daisy's side, even when she was being ridiculous with Abbey and Mike. Unless I'm forgetting something??
Lol, I don't know, maybe the statement was kind of broad, he just pisses me off sometimes. He wasn't like that with Jasmine, but that whole relationship felt kind of weird anyway, it was like he literally just said "Fuck it" and dated her because why not?
Yeah, okay, it's been a while. Still, Paulo had his whole gay arc in summer, didn't he? That's still a pretty long time to consistently ignore someone you're supposed to be in a relationship with/
The "why did you come back" thing was after she basically said they weren't friends anymore without having a reason.
I wonder if it's going to be brought up later that Mike was having a good time until Paulo dragged him into a group of people who either hate him or didn't want to talk to him, then brought up his girlfriend who he knows hasn't been talking to him because Paulo told Sue about it like 4 chapters ago.
Is the new culture being an abusive bitch who won't give the people who care about her the time of day because of arbitrary reasons, or is it to make all the guys overly violent idiots so they be subdued by the reasonable girls.
Roxy is a cutie
I mean, it sounds like he's still mostly pissed that she won't date him. He said "I LOVE you" on the previous page, then this, even though she already rejected him on their carnival date. He wanted a relationship, and she wouldn't give him one, but if she had explained WHY she was hanging out with Augustus, this might have gone differently, but you know,
"Maybe I should dance around the subject and give everyone headaches. There, problem solved, the Lucy way." She's always been like that.
One of the better candidates of becoming a real character out of the random background comics. Her interactions with Jordan were quite nice compared to the regular shitshow that is this comic.
She's more relevant than Stacy and Katie at this point anyway. She's also cute.
Ha ha!
Captain of Industry Final Fantasy Cat!
Honestly I'm surprised the shitty behavior of Taeshi and Suitcase hasn't pushed away more readers. Or perhaps that's why they are the butt of every joke on these types of threads now.
Regardless of how you feel about the story, I don't see how people can support such immature and toxic people.
I'm certain it will be a tearful breakup with Sandy and make her new boyfriend on the side or something asking her 'What's wrong' with a 'Oh, nothing - just taking care of some old business..' IF we even get that.
Then cut to a crumbled Mike on the sidewalk.
Tumblr-bait the fushoji yaoi shippers (which she used to make fun of and did offensive gay stereotypes of) Matt's story has amounted to nothing and it's pretty lame to give SO much focus with no real outcome.
Just like Paulo is merely bisexual as a 'quirk' a sort of feature that will never be explored because he has fat pussy to crush now.
Honestly I'm not even sure why she is dragging out Rachel x Jordan so much either - that's an obvious ship.
>Honestly I'm surprised the shitty behavior of Taeshi and Suitcase hasn't pushed away more readers.
You're grossly underestimating fanatics.
If you can create content, and that content gets a following, you will get die hard fans that will defend you, your actions and your creation to the end of the earth.
Fucking Dobson has these sort of fans.
Why that happens? beats me, I wonder it can be attributed to some sort of documented psychiatric phenomenon, what with it being so common.
I guess creators are just seen as more right to non-creators, like how on Yea Forums an MSpaint comic saying "hurr no your wrong" would be more impactful than just a plain post saying "hurr no your wrong".
Why is it whenever the characters get mildly upset they turn on the waterworks? Crying loses its impact when it happens 24/7. It's like all the characters became less emotionally mature to make Lucy look better than them. even though she's canonically the least emotionally secure person of the cast.
The school of "I can only show sadness by crying" and the fact that Taeshi could work on her emotions more other then the anime-tier shit.
Well to be fair, in the specific scene in the comment you replied to, Paulo IS a heartbroken teenager, I think crying is not that unreasonable.
At that age everything feels like the end of the world.
He wasn't so sore at Daisy's party. Calling Lucy "kind of a bitch" is pretty gentle considering her personality. He only flips out once she starts treating him like he isn't even her friend anymore.
>Crazy about him
She snapped at him like a cunt then started crying because he clearly only represents an escape for her, and not actual love.
Lucy really needs to get called out on her shit more
>tfw Mike gave up vidya because she got salty at him for beating her
Fucker needs to get some self respect, dump that broad, and fuck off of the planet away from these assholes
Yes, their relationship was weakly-based from the start which is why it is failing now that her circumstances have changed, but there's no reason to think this a calculation on her part (if because she's not very smart if nothing else). The whole of her first reason appearance in the comic is about how much she likes to speak to him, and she's very affectionate when they briefly met after one of her shows about 10 months ago in-comic.
>I genuinely don't even understand Mike's fascination with her
She's the one person he thinks he can trust to choose him over Lucy. Plus he's a romantic and also fairly naive and childish so he's not the type of person to just let go and find someone else.
I'm hoping that at least somebody gets sick of her shit in the period of time after they all drop Mike. They don't have to go "Mike was right" on her or even bring him up, but removing her from the pedestal she's always on would be nice.
There's someone always cutting onions out of frame
cute
Alright, so maybe my original comment was a little harsh, but the point remains that he ignored her shitty behavior for years, and he only got angry now because she wouldn't be with him the way he wanted her to. Which was still romantic, even if he was upset about her dropping him as a friend, as well.
But also, I don't think he's really the type of person to just trash someone behind their back if he still considers them a friend (unless they're Mike, lol).
I mean, to be fair, Lucy used to break down in tears all the time, until she became dead inside. She's apparently had therapy, now, and that's what pretty much everyone in this terrible friend group needs. Except for Amaya, who is perfect.
>Just like Paulo is merely bisexual as a 'quirk' a sort of feature that will never be explored because he has fat pussy to crush now.
LOL
Say, where can I find the full version of that, user?
what are your most hated moments in the comic?
hardmode no carnival chapter
I started on this a while ago and recently went back and redrew some of the answers
Dunno what to do for 7, any suggestions?
It's not very convincing given the circumstances by which he got as upset as he did.
It's probably meant to make him look bad, though, hence the weird dialogue (I GAVE MYSELF TO YOU) to distract from the fact that it's Lucy who's at fault for deceiving him at the play.
Molly and Amaya
>McCain
I can already tell Tae would blacklist you
I guess I can see that. His obsession just seems so long-winded. But then, so was his obsession with Lucy, until he realized how bad she was for him.
He should date Paulo instead.
This is why I stay the FUCK AWAY from fandoms.
Thanks Patreanon, appreciate it
could you get us Curtain Rising from or has that already been posted?
I'm still mad about Lily saying they have to find Mike for Lucy's sake after he fell off that cliff saving her life. Like the only reason she cares about Mike is because he keeps Lucy stable. If we're counting BCI then pretty much any of the LucyxPaulo comics are irritating to me. Shitting on Mike seems like an integral part of Pucy, especially out of canon, which is one of the reasons it irritates me. The one scene that stood out to me was when Paulo said something like "I'm the opposite of Mike and that's BETTER" in one of them. I'm supposed to think this guy is a good friend? Mike's right about his friends. Paulo's only nice to Mike when Lucy is completely off limits to him.
Mike and Alejandro
>I can't do it if you don't love me--
The way this panel is framed it looks like he says he can't do it if Paulo doesn't love him.
Hey, the context is his girlfriend still being kind of hung-up on another guy and he's trying to get her to appreciate him instead.

Blame the Tumblrshow Steven Universe.
Lmao, here

anything else? if i can't get it ready for this thread i'll do it next week
spectacular work, user.
With the Exception of the 'me' at the end you wouldn't be able to notice it's an edit
>aaaa huge heads
Also these two are kind of friends? This kind of interaction is seen nowhere else in the series. Jess is her usual grumpy self in the play-related scenes in the main comic.
Is this part of her makeover into a boring jolly lesbian?
Paulo and Daisy shipping is pretty unconvincing. The worst stuff might be at her birthday party with the "I've always wanted to smell your musky crotch" stuff. It even laughably claims that is ISN'T shipping by having Sue chide Abbey for thinking so.
I don't hate it per se but I do find the "you're immature" bizarre as there doesn't seem to be anything that Jasmine is actually referring to. Rachel raping Paulo very shortly before is also very strange.
It's still a shitty thing to say, but I guess this is back when Paulo was more just a rival to Mike than attempting to be a friend. I stand by what I said though. There are other ships that are just two characters enjoying each other's company. A lot of Pucy material is him having to one-up Mike or talk shit about him. He gets that "none of your damn business" line after supposedly fucking Lucy, and that's after the rival stuff died down. I'll admit it's not all of it, given that chapter where Lucy's sick or in volume two before Sue recruits Lucy into the play, but it's still a big piece. Anyway, the last sentence of that paragraph still stands. Paulo's nicer than he used to be, but he still has the same basic loyalties.
Also if you're a Paulofag I get that you'd probably be less bothered by stuff like that. Like, as a Mikefag I was was hit less hard by the carnival chapter than a lot of people, although I still thought it was hugely shite. I guess it depends on who you're rooting for.
Has Payback been posted yet? The one with the Amaya icon in the archive? I dunno if you'd have that, kinda skimmed a lot of this thread.
Lol, thank you, I cleaned it up a bit

He needs validation. That's the thing with long distance relationships. You keep them to yourself. Anyone asks. Say they got a different schedule.

>Thanks, Amaya
thank Paulo you fucking bitch
No it's thanks amaya actually
Why's she blushing so much? When is this set? She hated Paulo after he dumped her (except in the actual scene when he dumped her when she lies to protect HIS feelings) until the fake break-up where she got over it.
Is there ANY post chibi era comic where Mike wins? It feels like every story shits on him. Even non canon stories.
in the commentary of a watercolor chapter taeshi said jasmine thought that they'd eventually get back together, and in study buddy she said she could've waited but decided not to because he's so immature
jabbey when
That pretty much what was going on in the new year's party but it doesn't make much sense. She re-arranged her lifestyle to accommodate a boyfriend but she wants to "take a break"? What for?
Also in that same scene he told her he wanted another girl more than her so I don't know why she'd hold out hope after that.
There really should have just been a straightforward scene where she's upset her first boyfriend dumps her. The way she pretends she's fine with it but is salty at Paulo afterwards is really awkward.
Goddamn it was shitty behavior like this that made me hate Paulo so much.
Better.
Happy Hour was pretty cringey, I mean sure there was some slightly sweet Rachel x Paulo things but it's always undercut by his obession with Lucy and this unrequited love bullshit.
It just kind of hyper-focused on how everyone is so sad and incapable of living without mentioning Lucy and how much she meant to everyone.
Guest of Honor was pretty bad in the bathroom scene, anytime they reduced Abbey to sperging out about Paulo.
Thanks!
Have these two been posted yet? I don't recall seeing them before
she tries really hard to be mature but she's still bitter probably
Makes very little sense.
>Goddamn it was shitty behavior like this that made me hate Paulo so much.
>you're worrying too much and it's hurting you and Daisy for no reason so stop worrying and enjoy life
>shitty
does anything make sense in this fucking comic
Thanks man, I appreciate it.
is that comic that is basically a super "bad ending" where they all die or generally get fucked over real?
'Snarky asshole behavior when trying to help someone is somehow more genuine because at least they are being blunt about being dickholes is a great character trait.'
"I help my friends while simultaneously insulting them "
"Let's tease the kid with a dead mom, abusive past and clear anger issues about that said past"
Taeshi seems to equate someone with no filter as being somehow more truthful and trustworthy.
Why the fuck do you type like that, man?
>"Nobody likes you and you're lucky to have someone who wants to help you with your problems."
>"lol, who wants to hear about your stupid DEAD MOM."
>"Be with this girl who is so clearly obsessed with and distracted by another boy, even if the relationship is not fulfilling for you and you don't want to be with her anymore."
Idk, I think we were reading two different things, user.
I mean, if I had to deal with this fucker every day at school I'd want to beat his ass too.
You mean Disaster Dominos?? Yeah, lmao.
Does anybody have that?
>lol she likes ya enough even though she wants to fuck another guy far more
>Who cares about your personal shit anyway?
Is this an edit? Feels like an edit
Yeah I think its called that. I actually want to see
based patreanon, do you have Disaster Dominoes?
This is Abbey's response to the "abuse".
This is supposed to be a silly romcom story. It would be years before Taeshi decided to explode Abbey and Daisy to make way to ship her with Paulo.
no, i don't have any bci comics except the ones that were posted recently. maybe in a few weeks?
Paulo and Abbey aren't friends. They actively dislike each other. That's the gag of why he's so blunt.
It's not, that's the real chapter and page numbers in the file name, if you want to go see for yourself.
He never gets called out for it, BTW
Listen, nobody called it abuse, just
It was PRETTY SHITTY. Even if Abbey still /did/ like Daisy, he shouldn't have been manipulated back into their relationship.
His response feels more like "Well, I like her still, so this is fine, right?"
also, he hates Paulo already, so it's not like it would do much lasting damage, but it did kind of back him into a corner re: his relationship with Daisy.
Paulo can be both shitty and a good character. He's definitely done shitty things, and this is one of them, even if his heart was in the "right" place.
'Friends' enough to actively invite him out on trips - go to parties with and otherwise hang around without flipping shit?
.
Even if he disliked him - that's no way to treat a 'friend's' boyfriend. Why would you actively try to cause shit in a friend's relationship? Purposely put them through drama and strife to get your shits and giggles? Especially if you are seeing other people and they've never done anything to wrong you.
Yeah and it's still retarded.
>he shouldn't have been manipulated back into their relationship.
He absolutely was not. After Paulo makes his speech he's done and Abbey and Daisy are shown reconciling with looks ().
>Purposely put them through drama and strife to get your shits and giggles?
lolwut
the chapter is about Paulo trying to get Abbey and Daisy back together as a favor to her.
Ok, so we just gonna ignore all the time Paulo teased Abbey and gave Daisy shit for dating him or liking him? Yeah, I GET the whole "B-But Daisy doesn't love him, she is just desperate for attention and is using him!" which somehow makes it worse..?
He only did it because of Daisy to pacify her, not because Abbey and Daisy made a good couple or anything like that.
Paulo abuse masterpost when
Yes, he did do it purely for Daisy's sake; he doesn't care about Abbey. But the point of Paulo's speech is they shouldn't bother to take things as seriously as they were in the beginning of the chapter and just be together for the sake of enjoying each other's company.
Meh, I already said all I can on this, I don't really wanna argue. They reconcile with a look, but as I already said, it seems more like he was just brushing Paulo off /after/ the fact because he hates the guy.
>His response feels more like "Well, I like her still, so this is fine, right?"
I didn't say that other stuff. so. Shrug.
Paulo did nothing wrong. Fuck Abbey
Paulo is a weak ass pussy bitch.
Can't even take a punch or a throat slam.
Bring back the cartoonish facial expressions, imo.
this one was actually cute
t. Abbey
I've got it, it's pretty long though, I'll post the first two images and you can just read the rest in an album.
A buddy of mine saw Abbey take his shirt off in the shower, and he said that Abbey had an 8 pack. That Abbey was shredded.
Why is selfharming dead-inside Lucy such a qt
imgur.com
It's funny because it's not that far off from canon-Lucy.
thank you!!
I dunno who to reply to for this, but wrt the Abbey and Paulo thing, Abbey does seem upset about the dead mom comment in the shitscribbles chapter where he's with Daisy at burgertron. You can call the situation itself a retcon of the Abbey-Daisy-Paulo situation, and that's fair, but him being written to say those things at least means that Taeshi herself thinks those were pretty shitty comments on Paulo's part or at least that Abbey would be upset about them. I get maybe Taeshi didn't want Abbey to react a certain way because she was shooting for a certain tone, but that doesn't put Paulo in the right.
Also I still don't like Paulo telling everybody else to not take relationships so seriously while having his thing for Lucy. Only thing that sets him apart is he was lucky enough to fall for a girl who told him to fuck off to his face. He's not quite Jordan retarded but he has no right to shit on Mike for it.
A lot of what made old Lucy endearing was her pining and moments of vulnerability. Now she's lacking in both and what's left is just a huge bitch. Thanks for posting, also.
Yeah, from before she knocked her brain out in a suicide attempt and became a totally different character, basically an emotionless robot at this point just laying out hard "truths" straight from Tae's mouth.
>Only thing that sets him apart is he was lucky enough to fall for a girl who told him to fuck off to his face.
After leaving him hanging with a false impression she wanted him...for nine months.
Thank you kindly dear user
Well, better late than never. It's not like he's the only guy that got strung along in this comic. I'm also not blaming him for having feelings for Lucy despite my personal distaste for the ship. I just think it's hypocritical of him to criticize others for having strong feelings when he isn't exactly a stoic himself.
He's not criticizing Abbey for having strong feelings, he's criticizing him for sacrificing his feeling (for Daisy) because he's taking their chaste high-school relationship too seriously, as if he has to dump her because he's not her first choice.
how about my FAVORITE moment instead?
Lucy expressing feelings like a human being?
I remember when people thought she had improved as a person when she came back.
Well, status quo IS king.
It was a really nice moment, though. Everything with her taking in Augustus was pretty heartwarming. Just wonder if this shit with Toby is ever actually going to come up again. Feels like a forgotten thread of the plot.
>implying that wasn't just an excuse to get Augustus even more central to the story
>This kind of interaction is seen nowhere else in the series.
Jess and whats-her-name are both organizers of the drama club, so the comic makes sense in that context since that's the only business they ever have with each other.
>Also these two are kind of friends?
Nobody's really friends with Sue. Sue just inserts herself into social circles and because she's so inoffensively dull nobody can be fussed enough to tell her to leave.
There's a base theme of Paulo not taking certain people's feelings seriously and that's what I'm trying to criticize. Not wanting to be with somebody because they aren't taking things as seriously as you are is a perfectly valid emotion that Paulo's trying to invalidate. I mean, look at Rachel. Just because you're with somebody you like doesn't mean it can't be painful if they don't feel the same way. Of course, Rachel is a girl, so the comic paints her in a far better light.
>post breakup
>Mike spends a lot of time out of Roseville to avoid everybody
>dunno where Confrontation took place but you know where I'm talking about
>runs into Alejandro n Toby
>they try to get Lucy and Gus' location out of him
>funk_goes_on.mp3
>kicks their shit in with karate and super dex that he never gets to use anymore
>confidence boost, has a win for once
>freed from breakup depression
>makes up with lucy n the gang later at some point who cares
Get on it, Tae
Yeah but why would this be necessary when he doesn't do anything? Daisy's just hanging out with him now and nobody cares. Any pretense of him causing problems with Lucy's friends has just been dropped now.
>not wanting mike to get his shit kicked in by alejandro so afterwards he can abandon his shitty friends when they aren't there for him
I wasn't trying to, lmao. It's just been going on for basically the entire comic, and it's only been mentioned a handful of times. The majority of the cast seems to have just forgotten about it?
Except, you know, Paulo's barking phobia that's never really important outside of Toby-related things. But that happened before the Toby arc really started in canon, and it was just his henchdog.
The same end can be reached if he wins the fight and realizes he didn't need any help, and I really wanna see Mike in action. Remember when he used to be the fastest runner and swimmer and win volleyball games easily when he got serious? That hasn't been shown off in a while. Him being shown to be capable in those areas would also offset the super manlet disease he seems to have contracted.
I just realized I got the name wrong, lmao. Alejandro is the cat. I'm a moron.
Anyway, same sentiment.
I think he needs to hit rockbottom before he can rise again, I don't see it happening if he wins the fight solo, is annoying how Mike fought off Alejandro at 13 and is now half the height of paulo tho.
I don't know if it's a problem with Taeshi's sense of scale or if she's just unconsciously breaking mike down at this point, every new chapter he's thinner and smaller.
I mean, he can always hit rock bottom emotionally prior to entering the fight. Having nothing left to lose could give him an edge. He's not really having an ongoing crisis about whether or not he can beat some rando in a fight, so that being the climax that finally breaks him isn't good. It works better as an event that brings him back up for that same reason. Like, sure his social life isn't going great, but there's more to life and he can still succeed at things outside of the stuff that's been causing him so much grief. It'll bring him perspective. I will say it's kinda silly we're talking about this like it has even the remotest chance of happening, but it's a fun idea.
While we're on the subject, maybe Mike's shrinking is on purpose? Like he's learned an ancient martial technique of efficiency that makes his body take up less space while doing the same work. It's a banned technique, however, because it drives the user mad.
Or maybe Daisy is leeching off his mass, she seems to grow in proportion to him shrinking.
Probably what is going to happen.
I just hope that its not Lucy who "saves" him in the end.
I like mike and lucy but at this point it's just not reasonable to expect lucy to do anything with mike.
Mike/Lucy was my favorite ship but I hate the idea of them ending together now. Lucy is such a piece of shit.
I still like them but it's gonna take a lot of work to make it remotely believable they get together, and honestly who else could mike/lucy even get with, maybe if Tae spent the last 40~ chapters building possible connections between mike and anyone else, except paulo but the fujo shit is just a meme at this point.
MikexHaley the most kino pair will never happen sadly.
Absolutely kino
Mike x Rachel would be hilarious
No my friend, this one is Haley, not the best decision to make the two most similar looking characters have the closest names desu
honestly though stacey grew more on me in the 1 chapter she got than sue has in years, I'd prefer Stacey getting more attention than another fucking paulo chapter of dealing with his cocklust.
I think you mean wholesome
Right up until Suitcase overplayed his hand, started dodging questions, giving non-answers, playing dumb to win arguments, and generally pissing everyone off. The change after that one thread was like night and day.
Taeshi doesn't believe in therapy. She's said as much in her diary comics.
Sandy is the only person who has never treated him like garbage (to his face) save for once and she apologized for it soonafter.
I thought there was a diary comic where it was implied her bpd got relatively better thanks to therapy
Why did they ruin sandy's character and make mike the bad guy?
why? because he needs to fail in his life because he rejected lucy. He's the wrong one for rejecting lucy for some reason. He's always treated like the bad guy even though he never did anything wrong. Like seriously all he ever did was tell lucy to f*ck off after she became insufferable and he didn't want to cheat on sandy, but then again he's the bad guy in story so he deserves everything he's getting I guess?
I'd say Mike needs to start hanging out with Stacy more, but her keeping him at arm's length combined with Mega Hypocrite Sue being part of their "group" means that can't happen.
I think Sandy's whole character is supposed to be commentary on helicopter parenting, because it's her mom's fault she's like this now. She was forced into modeling, she doesn't have any control over her schedule, and her outburst with Mike over the "childish" race up the hill was likely just an echo of something her mom yelled at her about. The problem is that I don't think it will actually get resolved-- Sandy is probably going to be written out of the comic if she dumps Mike, and then we'll never know how she turns out.
I don't know why Mike always has to be the bad guy, I think it was just a running joke that turned into a serious story choice. Just like all of the old slapstick turned into actual abuse. Then his whole character became toxic because of this Sandy situation, with him lashing out at everyone who says anything negative about her.
>she's just unconsciously breaking mike down at this point, every new chapter he's thinner and smaller
Post yfw it's an entirely intentional "artistic representation" of Mike's "stunted character."
I miss their old dynamic. The only way it could reasonably work is getting their mutual shit kicked in and leaning on each other. Too bad Taeshi blew her enthusiasm for slow burns on pointless filler shit. is most likely going to happen.
Honestly Mike should just leave for a bit. Wouldn't have to deal with all the drama shit.
I'm guessing Mike is literally shrinking because he is supposed to be small and pathetic right now.
She's a qt because she's docile and obedient.
Because drama
