I never liked the idea of backups in new ongoings. Makes the narrative unfocused if there's a single lead but two separate stories. One of my gripes with the New 52 Amethyst series that had the Beowulf backup and made the comic cost $3.99 which did not help it at all.

I think Aero is handling the back ups a bit better. She fits in more with the whole super hero world. Sword master really feels like he should be his own thing.

Well really what I’m wondering here is if the Moonlight Greatsword and the sword in this comic are both inspired by an actual legend or something from Asian history, or just history in general. The green luminous blade with a starry cosmic window seems like a very defining trait.
