EtF feels more like a soft reboot or beginning of a new season. I think they chose Membrane to believe it was all a dream so it would open the door of a series revival the slight chance Nick (or Netflix) decides to go that route.

That episode was pretty funny I agree but the issue is we rarely got shit like that or the Bloat Pig Pizza episode. She was usually flat with most of her gags and roles coming from "Someone disrupted her playing vidya and now everyone perishes".

The special was overall one of the better ones, definitely like it more than the Rocko's Modern Life one, this one actually made me laugh more than twice for starters.
I'm still of the opinion that the best way to handle the Membrane issue would be for him to learn that aliens and Zim do exist, but for him to be still be in denial that the odd little green-skinned foreign boy his son harasses at school is actually Zim himself.
