Picking up with the giant sized issue 150!
Parker - Thunderbolts Pt. 2
Prior thread.
Papa Cage is pissed. Without a doubt I maintain he could have been played by Ice Cube.
Heroic Age dream team. I forgot how much I missed this era.
The Thunderbolts are fucking dead, and only like six people total on Yea Forums gives anything vaguely resembling a shit about them. Don't waste your time posting, cause nobody will read this.
>inb4 hurr hurr muh sacred storytime
Nobody fucking reads storytimes, and you can tell because nearly every single one of them is dead silent. Stop pretending to give a shit about nonexistent etiquette. If you retards gave a shit, you'd have a damn conversation about the fucking comic. Fuck you.
lol!
Walker makes Bleeding Edge armor sexy as hell. Also it's wonder how this would have plaid out if Stark didn't reboot his brain.
>you gunna be extra Thor when we have Thex
Wtf lol who writes this shit
In all honesty, not the worst speech.
you ever spend time with hood rat women?
Don't you 'lol' me, you blithering shitwhistle. This rant is the closest thing to a discussion this thread is gonna get. Certainly more so than OP's occasional comments desperately grasping to try and start a conversation. Goodness knows why they even bother, since they know in their heart of hearts that nobody on this wretched board gives a fuck. Misplaced pride, perhaps? Pathetic.
>How?
>Hank Pym.
Glad to see my boy getting the credit he's due.
Why yes, they’re my guilty pleasure.
I wonder what Moon Knight would see. Same with Daredevil. Basically any of the mentally screwed up Marvel heroes. I also feel like Bendis did something similar to this in his New Avengers but I could be misremembering.
Ghost is such a troll. Shame we never got to see this version in the MCU.
If you all were placed in charge of the MCU Thunderbolts movie, which route would you go?
>Route 1: Classic route with villains pretending to be heroes.
>Route 2: Darker route where the team is kinda known for recruiting hardasses like venom and radioactive man.
>Route 3: Redemptive route with the team being deliberately composed of cons trying to turn it around.
I feel like because Osborn may be a villain to come into play now that the playing field has been cleared a bit, route 2 would be the way to go. As much as I love the idea of the Thunderbolts being an off the books agency during Dark Reign, I prefer them operating in a public manner as a counter argument to The Avengers. No clue on the casting other than wanting Matthew McConaughy for Osborn.
I realized that Endgame sets up classic T-Bolts pretty perfectly but I have no idea how or even if you could pull the twist off in a movie.
They already kinda did it with Mysterio actually
controversial opinion, but I think Juggernaut should be stronger than Thor, unless Thor is in Odinforce mode.
Juggs needs a powerup
Getting some serious "Snake vs. The Boss" vibes. I love it.
Bump.
This run is great, though
Classic route, it’s such a great twist
Isn’t he usually?
Yeah, it is, easily one of the high points of T-Bolt history. Nobody on Yea Forums gives a flying rats ass, because they haven't read it, nor will they ever. OP is wasting their time in what I'm sure they think is an attempt to share something they love. But the truth is, there's no point, because Yea Forums does not read comics.
lol!
Jugg and hulk can always be written as stupid strong thor not so much and unless shenanigans are in involved
I completely agree it's a great twist, but I'm not sure we can go that route this quickly after Far From Home capitalized on that plot point.
Still doesn't stop me from trying though. As long as at least one person joins in I consider it a win. There were so many comics I had the pleasure of reading during college because people were kind enough to take time out of their day and post.
It’s either that or Suicide Squad memes
Ignore edgelords
>crossbones becomes Ghost Rider
I think Thunderbolts would manage to stand apart from Suicide Squad if we go the second route. The simple fact that the Thunderbolts are meant to operate publicly is going to give them an entirely different feel from Suicide Squad. Waller never had to give a shit about PR and her she can't really threaten the media. Osborn would chew scenery like it was his goddamn day job and the audience would love every minute of it. Osborn needs to have the Tony Stark charm down but in a significantly more sleazy/insidious fashion. Casing Normie is going to be an ordeal for the folks over at Marvel. Shame Dafoe is too old to do the physical stuff unless we go Iron Patriot but I really want Goblin losing it in Thunderbolts Mountain.
Good on you, OP. I'm in it for the long haul, enjoy and appreciate storytimes, and love this run of TBolts.
Actors I want for Norman Osborn.
>Tom Hanks
I think he could do it. He's played villains before in The Ladykillers and he was a fucking delight every time he was onscreen.
>Matthew McConaughy
He's got the charm and intensity down. After True Detective he's elevated himself as an actor.
>Bryan Cranston
This might be a pleb choice but I'll still stand by it. He's going to need to be less Walter White and more Hal if that makes sense.
Whatever. You just keep on with your wannabe shonen protag bullshit.
The MCU already fucked itself by not introducing the OG six by now. Captain Marvel would've been a good opportunity to introduce Karla, and Homecoming should've had Abe. So far, the only Bolts the movies have are Ghost and Zemo.
And yes, the original six is the route they should go, cause a Bolts movie could literally just be the first arc of the comic. Straight up even have it end with Karla beating up Helmut and calling him a scrub because she is best girl.
Ouch....
I kinda wish this issue didn't exist and we kept Ghost a mystery but I'm still happy with what I got.
I like you.
Norman has to be a cutthroat businessman and able to hold his own with Spider-Man. Hanks is out. Matt McConaughey be someone else
Are you kidding? Tom Hanks could play that with ease. The fact that its lovable ol' Tom Hanks adds to it, like Henry Fonda in Once Upon A Time In The West.
Could you see 60+ Tom Hanks doing any of the green Goblin action? Let’s be realistic.
If you had to pick your top five live Yea Forums TV shows, what would they be? In no particular order, it would go:
>Daredevil
>Legion
>Doom Patrol
>Smallville
>The Tick (Amazon)
Guilty pleasures:
>Gotham
>The Flash S01-03 (haven't seen anything else).
>Powers (bizarre adaption I still find enjoyment in).
>Constantine
Disappointments
>Umbrella Academy (so much potential wasted).
>Inhumans (same sentiment).
A man can dream. Shame Sam Rockwell has already be used. Fucking waste of an actor. On another note, how does everyone feel about Patrick Wilson? He has been one of the most consistently enjoyable actors in everything he's been in. My first introduction was Hard Candy and I think he's only improved. He could do it. Without a doubt.
I would legitimately watch a Ghost hacker/anti corporation movie and not the shit we got in antman. Ghost 2099 would also be kickass.
I like where this is going.
Lol
Glad Moonstone can see through this fucking bullshit.
Hey OP. Thanks for the story time. I've been really enjoying this run.
My man! As long as someone is onboard. Also love that Walker is back to using horizontal stacks. Love that layout in spite of its simplicity.
lol poor little fucking frog.
fun action in this one. it's hard to be who you are.
Ffffuckin. Ghost is cool. I like how detatched he is from the situation when it isn't something he cares about. Couldn't have an entire team of him but he's definitely my favorite. I want more ghost.
that would be so cool.
Gotta admit, I fucking love how creative this is. Avengers eat your hearts out.
Karla fucking called it!
Fucking hell! This situation escalated in like ten seconds flat. Hyperion aint no joke.
I've been there too, user. It's okay, it'll get better.
Route One, that turns into Route Three after they get revealed.
I feel like I should add a Route 4: The team is "formally" disbanded but still operates as a black ops strike team. I just remembered that I didn't want to include this initially because it has too many similarities to Suicide Squad. It made sense for Osborn to have, but it still doesn't help alleviate the similarities (unless he was using them to undo his prior mistakes as Goblin -- that arc was great).
Thanks for posting OP! I've read some isolated issues but never the larger run.
awesome, I was really enjoying the last thread
Man-Thing had some pretty cute reaction image fodder, I hope that keeps up
Sorry I'm not going to be able to post much after this issue (maybe one more but no guarantees). I will keep at it though until Parker's run continuing into Dark Avengers is done as well as post the issues afterward. If people would like I could also post the links to Invincible and my favorite Superman series of all time. Always love to here recommendations.
>Jupiter Saga by Mark Millar
>Batman Epic by Frank Miller
>Batman Epic by Grant Morrison
>Batman Epic by Scott Snyder
>Wildcats Vol. 2 & 3
>Thunderbolts Ellis - Diggle
>Moon Knight: Huston - Lemiere
Just a few ideas.
Fucking get some!!!!
It's probably an old conversation, but that red stripe on the legs of Steve's DoS costume never sat well with me. The suit needs more or less red, something down the arms or around the wrists maybe. It looks like he's wearing the wrong pants.
what the fuck
I mean Man-Thing's power obviously, but that's quite the visual shock when I was just expecting time travel.
This scene makes Juggs a goddamn monster. He get slugged point blank by Hyperion multiple times and didn't lose consciousness, I bet Hyperion couldn't even pull that shit off. Cain is literally the living embodiment of "punching a brick wall".
In one shining glorious moment, Juggernaut fucking laid out the "Super Man". Absolute beast.
> Brother named Blue Marvel
it’s little details like this that really elevate this run
lol
Oofff...just ooff.
Gonna have to stop here. I would continue on with another issue but I have to wake up at six tomorrow and need the sleep. Will try and pick up a Yea Forums pass in the meantime but can't make any promises. Good night everyone! Sleep tight!
Much appreciated, friend. Great read and great characterization while still maintaining the ruthlessness that makes them villains. Seeing Hyperion get his was catharsis you don't usually get with comics nowadays. Much love, OP.
Daredevil was great, Smallville will always have a place in my heart thought I didn't finish it (early seasons were one of the few things my dad and I enjoyed together, plus the cheesecake). I never read Constantine or watched the show, but I love the movie. Keanu fan.
I'm a big Agents of SHIELD fan, though I think it peaked with season 4. Everyone complains about those first 17 or so episodes but I was down with the idea of just an actual SHIELD show that dealt with monsters of the week. Those episodes are very Buffy the Vampire Slayer because they serve a narrative role. Having simplistic MotW episodes are important so that during the fucked up dark parts of the later seasons, the characters can reflect back on the "good ol' days" when every problem had a simple solution. Leo Fitz is one of the best MCU characters and he isn't even originally from comics.
>disappointments
Iron Fist in general and that the post-Defenders second seasons of both it and Luke Cage weren't a Heroes for Hire show. The LC season 2 cameo was the best live action Iron Fist, even if that version of Danny didn't line up with anything in the netflix IF interpretation, which was weird because IF season 2 came after LC season 2.
well im reading
bless you, user
and another bump for reading anons
Two of my favorite pages, I loved the Ghost/Juggernaut/Man-Thing/Moonstone thing, even with Rumlow, it was a great team.
so was it confirmed if this was Exiles Hyperion or not?
Would have been cool if Steve just saw Skinny Steve.
>I also feel like Bendis did something similar to this in his New Avengers but I could be misremembering.
He did, Spider-Man saw himself as a 15 year old, Jessica Jones saw herself as Jewel, Echo saw herself as Daredevil, and Hawkeye saw himself as Captain America.
Thanks for this OP! really miss this team.
>you big mongoloid
based king hy/pol/rion
thx again for the storytime
!f
Well user, looks like in this thread OP isn’t the faggot.
I agree
this man is a troll. don't feed him.
He needed to tug on his cape for that joke to work
the only thunderbolts I read was when genis vell was on the team
fuck marvel we dc now
