Can transformers reproduce?

Why else are there male type and female type transformers? why do they have relationships?
Can they fuck?

Yes, because, same reason as you, not really.

no, the resemblance to human secondary sexual characteristics is coincidence, and they do not have the ability to fuck

>Why else are there male type and female type transformers?
Is the explanation for female transformers still because of some mad scientist forcefully giving one a sex-change?

No, that was just old IDW and everyone agrees it was retarded. It even got retconned that girl robot she were always a thing only everybody just forgot for a while. That whole universe is dead now anyway so it's doubly non-canon now.

Bayformers kept changing how they reproduced. Originally, you needed to slam a cube on the ground and BOOM! Nu-transformers which are evil by default. In Revenge of the Fallen, transformers hatch from eggs.

In the Marvel G2 comic they could create new life thru budding.

>transformers hatch from eggs.
Like a robo egg?

Are they full sized and if not how could they grow other than eating scrap i guess

Whats the process requirements?

transformers have genders, but not sexes
how you make new transformers varies wildly by continuity

>Can transformers reproduce?
Most of the time, Transformers cannot sexually reproduce. There's a few rare continuities where they do, or it's implied they can. In at least one universe, they can asexually reproduce.
>Why else are there male type and female type transformers?
Sex wise, aside from what I said above, there aren't.
Genderwise, gender is not a 1:1 ratio to sex. Social evolution can produce all sorts of shit.
>why do they have relationships?
Sex is not a requirement for platonic or romantic relationships.
See pic.
A universe being over (publication wise) does not make its stories non-canon. That's still a valid universe in the Transformers Multiverse. And the franchise IS a multiverse, so one continuity's aspects are not automatically applied franchise-wide. Arcee being trans in IDW didn't make '86 Arcee trans, but IDW Arcee is still trans in the finished IDWverse.
They simply had multiple methods.

And if you're not aware, sparks are Transformer soul balls. The spark is the individual, the body is just a shell to contain and maintain it, complete with sensory organs and a brain to process those sensations.

Depends on the universe.

Megatron's whole master plan in IDW was a. win the war and b. figure out how to make babies. Not the best plan but not necessarily the worst from a Megatron. I figure b. involves sitting around puzzling over IKEA catalogs and trying to figure out which part of their anatomy is the slot A.

That pic is never paired with a good post.
Tranny Arcee will never ever be canon to anything but that dead book, and good fuckin riddance.
Fuck you and IDW comics as a whole.

There's actually at least one other instance of TRANS Arcee. Cope and seethe.

There have been multiple different canon ways. One of them is babby grows inside a transformer, they can be constructed by others, come out of the well of sparks, come out of the planet's protoform, sometimes you need to make a spark or maybe it pops out of Cybertron or it's moons, sometimes its why there's lady transformers, and sometimes transformers are sexless just appropriated human gender characteristics because they think they look/sound neat.

They can probably do something like fucking like a spark energy, mind meld or coding exchange, or modify themselves to since they are humanboos.

>Cope and seethe
Oh Chromedome, that slogan will never replace the classic.

>Can transformers reproduce?
No, or at lest not by themselves. An ancient artifact called Vector Sigma creates sparks and inserts them into inert protoforms. Once inserted, the protoform turns into a fresh Transformer.
IDW introduced a method called "cold construction" where the Matrix of Leadership would create artificial sparks and be frozen in photonic crystals. The frozen spark would then be inserted into a handcrafted body in order to thaw out.
