With Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, and even Invader Zim all having a special, what are the chances of a Danny Phantom special in the coming years on Netflix?
With Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, and even Invader Zim all having a special...
God I hope not, DP fans suck.
Hartman left so none.
None, that one shooter with that shrine had to ruin it for everyone
Already got an ending. It was arse.
He left Nick, but there's still hope for Netflix
Danny Phantom, 10 years later since Butch always likes to draw that and talk about the show 10 years later
>10 years later
Nah. Just pretend he didn't revealed his identity and continue where it ended
I would truly like to see Danny Phantom. The "10 Years Later" draws of Butch Hartman looked really good, but I would have changed a few things from his "final arts".
Anyway, I havea few ideas about what the return of Danny Phantom could be. Let's see:
+ Butch Hartman said that, if a Season 4 would have been made, Dani (Danny's clone/cousin) would have been adopted by the Fentons, turning her into Jazz and Danny's little sister. I would have loved to see that story.
+ It was said that, in a potential Season 4, Dark Phantom (Danny's evil future self) would have returned. Well, since this was Danny's Ultimate Enemy, I would have loved to see him back. Although, as a "counterpart", I would have loved to see a "good heroic future version" of Danny to help him. (Something like what happened with "Ben 10:Ultimate Alien" with Eon and Ben 10000).
Only is he breaks up with Sam because he realizes what a cunt she is who only cares about his ghost form and not his human form
>The "10 Years Later" draws of Butch Hartman looked really good
Almost none. They went to Netflix because Nick considered them money wasted failures. They are not going to bother doing this again.
Realistically, I doubt Nick would want to make a special out of the series because of Butch leaving the studio and I believe there is some sort of "drama" between him and the company since he never explained WHY he left in that video he did.
Danny, Vlad, His parents, Jasmine, Valerie, Dani, & the other ghost villains are the only likable characters. Sam and Tucker are the worst
That 10 years later series he created is absolutely garbage. I wouldn't like to see it get a Netflix special because of those god-awful designs he gave the characters and the backstories along with them.
Sam is definitely the worst thanks to her stagnating character development and overall personality making her out as the character-who-can-do-no-wrong compared to the other females in the show. Can't even see the appeal of Danny/Sam because of her character being such a hinderance to their relationship.
Yeah nick will take me back any second now, it's not like the fans would accept a revival if im not in charge, well except for all those fans that i made angry with my kickstarter I-i have a youtube channel
The 10 years later designs were fine, they were dorky, but that's the vibe of the show. It's kind of proof that a Danny Phantom revival would never work, because no one wants a continuation of Danny Phantom as it was, they want their lame ass headcanon/fanfic version of Danny Phantom that doesn't have any of the Butch Hartmannisms.
fuck that i want a catdog netflix movie
You want the special to be about Danny finding Jesus Christ in his heart?
>You want the special to be about Danny finding Jesus Christ in his heart?
that kinda sounds that it would be funny in an ironic sort of way
Seriously, what do you have against them. Let me review them:
+ Danny Phantom: I personally liked the final design, having influence from Captain Marvel.
+ Sam Manson: The final design wasn't bad, but I liked the "Black Widow" sketch better.
+ Tucker Foley: Not bad the final design, but instead of a drone, he could control one of Skulker's old robotic bodies. (As he used to do).
+ Jazz: OK, I have to admit, the last design used as "Oracle" was really wrong. I liked better the sketch were she looked like her mom; a strong and smart woman.
+ Jack Fenton: I liked the cyborg idea, but I would have put a cybernetic arm (like Winter Soldier) instead of a leg.
+ Maddie: Now, Butch didn't do any single good sketch for her. I would have turned her into Danny's Oracle (instead of Jazz), and Maddie could use a reprogrammed Holo-Maddie (the one used by Vlad).
+ Vlad: As an escaped prisoner, I'm not really convinced, but Butch's sketch about being a conqueror looked better.
+ Dani Phantom: She actually looked good, although I would reduced a little of her "rebel" style.
Not with Butch Hartman, I don't like that fucking faggot.
He was too redpilled. Alternatively, he didn't want to work at a company that had gay and trans characters in its kids shows.
>He left Nick, but there's still hope for Netflix
Nick owns Danny Phantom, Hartman can't just make a movie about the show without Nick being involved.
Maybe I went a bit too negative on what I said, but I still dislike a majority of what has been conjured up. A lot of my hatred goes into the art work and how the colour schemes look ghastly.
I personally dislike Danny's outfit the most because of how much is going on with the colour scheme. The neon green really does ruin the entire attire and it would of looked a lot better if its wasn't there. Also, why does he have wrist rays when he can fire ectoplasm out of his hands? I think Butch went overboard with Danny's outfit and didn't think it through when it came to the colour scheme. The green eyes from his original getup is what made his scheme "pop". Adding it all over the outfit just makes it messy as hell. I don't get the flame-effect of his hair either. It's a silly aesthetic if you ask me.
Sam is pretty much playing dress up in her original attire with the skirt. Come on, why would you wear something from your high school days? Also, I don't know why Butch and fan artists decide to give Sam long hair and doll her up in terms of makeup and physique all the time. I get the impression it is to express femininity or something in her character, but I believe Sam wouldn't honestly give a toss about what she looked like. Short hair Sam is best.
I seriously don't know what the heck Butch was doing when he designed Jazz. She is better than being tied up to a god damn machine.
Maddie is by far the worse design. She's my favourite female in the entire show and Butch really did destroy her with whatever the hell he conjured up. A mohawk?! I will agree with you in the fact he did not do a single good piece of her.
Like I said, It's more of the designs I dislike than the backstory behind them. I suppose he only tossed them out in the short span of time in the videos, but it don't excuse how uninspiring a few of the attires are.
Absolutely. Also, I believe he himself got rid of Sparky the dog from the tenth season of FOP because the person who voiced him came out a transsexual and for Butch that was a no-no.
as long they kill Sam or just give up to have her as Danny girfriend.
Hmm, I suppose you got a point there about the aesthetic side of the show. I just feel like the designs were just really lackluster compared to the backstories he was tossing out. Also, the series already had a finale. I've seen way too many "lame ass" headcanons & fan fictions that go way beyond the levels of stupidity. I use to be apart of the fanbase a while back.
Not only was the show dorky the characters themselves were dorks
I don't see the problem with it
If the special is not about her I don't want it.
doesn't he canonically fucking hate christmas
you're right they're terrible
Seeing Dani meet Jazz would have been great.
Eh, would rather have a complete reboot given the finale pretty much wrapped everything up. Hopefully this time in the vein of Scooby Doo Myster Incorporated or at the very least Gravity Falls.
If Steve Marmel doesn’t return as a writer and Stephen Silver doesn’t return as character artist then Butch can keep it.
>Hopefully this time in the vein of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated or at the very least Gravity Falls.
Unironically would be based
I would love a TV 14 Danny Phantom also
This. None of the characters are given proper treatment when it's just Butch holding the reins.
>DP fans
A reboot of the concept with a horror vibe would work.
Butch still doesn't have the rights, i'd preffer Danny Phantom movie on Hulu.
Please no, Phantom Planet sucked to hard for me to ever want to see another Danny Phantom special.
>Butch still doesn't have the rights
Shit it might actually be good then
Danny Phantom has the lamest cartoon ghosts
I've always thought Danny could be cool as a DC hero or something, I'd be down with a reboot that's a bit more mature and/or focused more on the fact that Danny fights actual ghosts. Give us some cool backstory, give Danny some more allies/ghost friends. Wulf was really underutilized.
I think you mean aliens.
>I think you mean aliens
not that user but wait what, I never seen phantom planet was it something from that
Nope, just a mid-season tweak to canon that Hartman went on-record to state in an interview.
He deemed the idea of ghosts to be too occultic, so he changed the Ghost Zone to a parallel dimension filled with alien beings who just happen to resemble what humans think ghosts look like.
Yes, even Desiree, the Lunch Lady, Ember, and Poindexter were remade into aliens.
Why? There's a ton of Spider-Man related stuff coming in the near future already.
They legit wrote themselves into a corner with the ending because even if you did that dumb crown subplot or Mayor Vlad it was scuffed out because the ending basically said "Yeah they're all friends now"
This show is like the epitome of cool concept and terrible execution. Would be a million times better without Sam and Tucker.
Ding ding ding ding. They already closed the DP book
Since when has that stopped a bad executive idea?
>Danny wakes up and that was all a nightmare
EZ PZ
