Gaz was always an angry little girl who just wanted to play vidya and whose threatening aura was played for laughs, but who had some of the more touching moments in the original cartoon (like an entire episode where she just wanted to have dinner with her dad, who in the original cartoon was pretty much never around). She wasn't the "smarter than anyone else" character, she was the "mostly says nothing but kicks Dib when he's down" character.

There wasn't much of a change to her personality - other than maybe showing a bit more genuine fondness for her brother. She's just more involved in the movie than she was in most episodes.
