ITT: Underwhelming Specials
Nick HEAVILY promoted this one episode of SpongeBob and it was just a whatever episode...
It had a good theme though

That basically sums up most of the Spongebob specials to my knowledge, excluding the holiday specials.
Just add virtually any Spongebob special to that list. House Party and Lost Episode included.
Does this count?
Yes.
Well, I live in NYC,and there were posters all over the fucking place promoting this one episode. So that’s weird. And I still remember it.
This is my favorite SpongeBob episode tho
>all those commercials making it seem that "Plankton's Army" was going to change everything
>"WOAH hey kids! PLANKTONS FINALLY GONNA LEARN THE SECRET FORMULA!"
>it's just a regular episode
this scene made up for it though

Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus
At least for me it was
I'm noticing a theme.
T. sjw dyke
I'm an SJW because I thought enter the florpus was too soft and lacked the edge of the original series?
Don't give him (You)s

At least we got this
Well, damn I guess it wasn’t an underwealming special afterall. I retract my original statement.

THIS. I'm pretty sure every special was heavly promoted just like some ICarly episodes.
It was based more off of the comic
I remember them playing this at Paramount Great America in the kid's area.
>Nick HEAVILY promoted this one episode of SpongeBob
that's every special starting with him 'flying' or whatever
I think that was the first
Yes, I remember some specials even having McDonald's tie-ins (despite being a regular 15 min episode). I'll never understand the corporate logic behind that
A big fucking waste of time even back then.
I guess the comics really aren't that good then or at the very least don't follow the same tone as the original invader Zim. Though being based on a comic would explain the films really wonky pacing.
It is the most sad spongebob episode
