Static Cling and Enter the Florpus have ruined modern cartoons for me desu. Neither of them had a second of dead air. Just finished watching it. Overall, I'd say it was pretty good. A pretty fitting pseudo-climax thing; obviously it would've been nice to see a full climax, but if I had to choose between an ending and leaving it open-ended if the chance ever comes up for more content later I'd prefer the latter.
My only complaints are little nitpicks.

>Clembrane was over-used and not particularly funny

Membrane acknowledging his confusion at the end with Clembrane felt like a satisfying middle-ground; having Membrane acknowledge that Zim and everything that happened being fully real wouldn't work because it'd just cut the show off there, plus it wouldn't fit Membrane generally being absurdly dismissive of Dib, but just saying that he isn't sure what happened is enough of a victory coming from the man who claims to know everything. That would've been a lot more satisfying than Membrane clinging onto it all being a hallucination.
But yeah, aside from that it was all pretty great. I can understand not liking it if you're PARTICULARLY picky about the above things, but I feel like it'd be a disservice to say it was outright bad.

x265 should only cause some frame stutter or frame loss it can't mess with the sound because it's not an encode for audio. It would be due to EAC3 which for crappier machines should be encoded down to AC3 but really the secret is to encode it to DTS for true audio bliss, anything can run DTS it's just a wav container.

Damn this movie has really made me actually like Gaz. And not just liking the idea, the concept of Gaz (i alrealy liked that), but actually giving a damn about the actual character Gaz is now. Nice. I'm satisfied, I went in worried because shit always screws me over but I liked it. If the animation were better and they had kept the dark gritty atmosphere it'd be perfect. I really liked Membrane in this. I just think that the forced status quo was disappointing, were they leaving it open for future installments? I can't believe the Armada and Earth were together for the first time and nothing really happened between them. Of course, by setup, all that would have happened would be Earth getting destroyed with no interaction. If anything were to happen they'd have to take away the "just blow it up" climax. Also as soon as Zim had his punishment fantasy I felt pretty bad realizing that The Trial hopes were dashed in an instant, in a fantasy no less.

Good comparison, the movement and the thick outlines are very on par with that. I will say it just depends on how long and sustained the flash is, because the chase sequence with Zim and Dib for Minimoose had its moments of lasting flash and that sucked too. It's just that it cut in and out of being that default flash movement and them turning a bit, here it was just them moving in pivots.

She cared for him in the original series too, that was never out of character. Remember the episode where he promises Gaz and Dib a dinner at Bloaty's? She was sincerely looking forward to it just so she could spend time with him. The only real difference between that Gaz and the new one is that she's more o0en about those feelings now.

My nitpick, and it's only a nitpick really, is that there are times when she seems almost giddy and quirky. Like at the end where she broke into a weird british accent for no reason. It was just weird.

While I wouldn't say he got shafted I understand what you mean. This was definitely a Dib story and not a Zim one. If I had to guess why it's because they wanted a more open ending in case the show were ever to be picked up again and any serious emotional development Zim would have a absolute sense of finality. With Dib it's easier to ignore any growth he makes and just yank it away to make him more miserable. Like at the end, even though Membrane told Dib he loved him that still doesn't mean he respects or believes anything he says and does.

I'm watching the movie a second time and it's starting to grow on me.

It's a running gag that GiR has brief moments of competency that surpass even Zim at times, then immediately reverts back to his usual idiot self

It wasnt bad but it wasn't amazing. Like a 6/10.
Like some scenes looked really bad and some like I would expect a movie buget to look like.
70% looked low budget and 30% looked good.
Like the first scene with the tallest look like straight garbage flash animation.
The line work in some scenes was bolded for no reason and looked bad.
And zims constant huge cal arts tier mouth was a little much. You guys calling it a 10/10 is just not true. The story was fine but man the animation looked bad a lot.
The best scene was the end qith the different dimensions but other than that it was pretty mediocre.

The creator was working on a musical TV movie for it called Magnum Opus before the series was canned, I wonder if he is doing well and would like to return to the series for a special. I miss Nick Bakay's voice a lot. Part of why I loved Salem so much.

The original style had thick lines, they just only did it in certain shots for some reason here, but I know some of it comes from shrinking the model down to be "further" in the background. It was also garbage when they did the thick lines but the mouths were really scraggly thin that was clearly drawn in the flash program because of how unsteady it looked.

Like I said in my original post like 70% looked like cheap flash but there really were good scenes.
The mouth animation looked bad and synched weirdly at some parts it looked like the equivelent of south park mouths in terms of the range of motions the and different types. It look really repetitive at some moments.

Considering they were doing a budget tactic to lower it in some areas and raise it in others, you'd think the character movements being rough flash could have at least gave them enough to do good mouth animations, that sucked ass. Pretty much everything that wasn't character animation was animated well enough, not including CG scenes the 2D things like the planet hitting the Armada towards the beginning, the debri effect, Zim's house pipes, stuff like that was good usually. Mouth animation should have been the easiest.

Can someone tell me who does the voice of Dib's family's robot? It's driving me crazy.
