BCG threads have been like this ever since I started following them - only about 5 anons in total seem to actually watch the show, being capable and willing to discuss new developments. Other than that we get a bunch of shitposters who relentlessly repost ancient images in every thread, bumping them at a lethargic pace. At least the slow pace makes those threads predictable and not as cancerous as they could've been.
Once we get some new content it should get a little bit better.

Nah, Amphibia actually has an active fan base, especially outside of the shitposting cesspool of Yea Forums. The show has a likable and entertaining female lead, a fun main cast of characters, lore, and magical/fantastical elements. Big City Greens lacks all of this, which would explain why literally nobody cares about the show. In fact, people often forget that it’s one of many new projects coming from a GF alum.

I have full faith in Amphibia receiving good treatment from Disney (excluding the inane way that S1 was released).

Really enjoy this show. Started watching it a few weeks ago and the VERY rapid-fire pace of the jokes almost caught me off guard. Just by looking at, I thought the main characters were going to be annoying but each member of the Green family is really charming.

I like that Cricket isn't ALWAYS annoying the people around him 24/7 the way a character like Lazlo did, I like that the Dad isn't a typical dumb, cartoon dad (he's almost the opposite), the Grandmother is probably my least favorite of the family but even she gets a lot of good jokes in, and while I don't often use this word, I actually find Tilly to be really cute. I also think it's great that so many of the one-off background characters are allowed to have funny lines. Great show, really feels like it delivers on all fronts.

My personal favorite episodes are probably the one where the Greens look over Remy's mansion while he and his family are away and the one where the family (including the mom) just spend the afternoon on a porch telling stories about the passersby (and the dad has trouble learning how to be creative).

My younger brother ended up watching a lot of these episodes with me after getting into it as well and his favorite is probably the one where Cricket and the police officer (his favorite character) team up to find a litterbug.

While that is encouraging, I have a fear that Disney decided to air the whole first season over a course of a month (and might do the same with the second season) as a way to complete the show's run so The Owl House doesn't have anybody to compete with when it comes out. I’m under the impression that Disney wants Amphibia and The Owl House to be the new face of their TV animation division, much like how Adventure Time and Regular Show were the new face of Cartoon Network back in the early 2010s. Big City Greens will be Disney’s equivalent to Gumball, a moderately successful show that won’t get nearly as much attention.

SU and BCG aren’t even in the same category, user. The former has lore, a big cast of unique recurring characters, tons of waifus, way more episodes, an upcoming TV movie to hype up, and a MASSIVE fandom.

Not that user, but half the episodes were standalone adventures and half were connected to a main story, which felt old fashioned and disjointed. You could get away with having a few standalones in a show with 20 episodes per season, but they present this like they're serious about the whole fantasy adventure thing and then they had a whole episode where a character couldn't get up the nerve to ask the character he had a crush on to dance. They introduced a bunch of mysteries and didn't resolve them. The only interesting characters are the ones in OP's pic. The result is halfway between serious fantasy adventure and comedy poking fun at serious fantasy adventures and as a result it's not funny and it's boring.
