what are your favorite samurai movies?

Well all the Kurosawa ones seem an obvious choice, but Harakiri is also really good and you can't go wrong with the Lone Wolf and Cub stuff. Also the Samurai trilogy

Masaki Kobayashi (HaraKiri) worked alongside Kurosawa on a bunch of stuff so there's a pretty big influence.

Stan really fucking up some of his hands and proportions here compared to the usual, I wonder if he was in a hurry this month.

Confessions of a Meddling Mind

Colors grew on me a lot, but monochromatic backgrounds are still pretty jarring to my eyes. I know that the comic had plenty of solid white backgrounds before, but while those work very well in black and white (they help to keep focus on characters), in fully colored issues they just looks lazy.

they're not bad I think, but this transition to color is kinda unnecessary

Seeing Kitsune get her comeuppance was great, but I still want to see a decisive winner between Tomoe and Chizu. Maybe the drawanon will be kind during one of these storytimes, who knows.

I was actually a little scared for Sasuke this story. This is all really starting to take a toll and I don't know how much he has left in him.

What's the best way to get into this series? I was looking at the Saga collections but they start at Volume 2

There wasn't a lot to do in feudal japan. It was either look at the carnage or wait till the plague gets you.

Saga are the way to go for the DH era, get the Fanta graphics for earlier stuff and move onto idw trades but they’re are doing a full color release if the series so you can wait for that

I hope this image helps as well. It's everything Usagi related minus the current IDW run (3 issues so far). Since those big books are super cheap for the amount of content they offer, you should catch up with your collection rather quickly.

Nice collection! I'm looking at buying them digitally. I love physical copies but sadly I don't have the space for them with my current arrangements.

I don't normally care much for digital comics, but if nothing else it's also the best way to ensure Stan gets his cut.
