Well, ummmm, yeah, he doesn't have much lore to work with legally.

It means it will have a great start, interesting characters, and some cool ideas about world building....then it gets reduced to cheap shock twists and rushed out the door cuz he has to leave the book to do something else.

Man...if only he was allowed to use everything that SEGA legally owned and not to put up with all the game fags.

I mean, it would probably never be as good as his Marvel work, but it'll better than what Sonic deserves.

He's been the sole writer since issue 1. (Well, script writer. He, Kevin Eastman, and editor Bobby Curnow brainstorm the plot first). After 100 he's only taking a break for a few months. Guy's earned it.

I'm not too familiar with Sonic, so I don't know how it could be made depressing, but he'd do it. It would also have at least a few tiny-paneled sequences with Sonic as nothing but a blue circle.

Just have Sonic be introspective about his own career. That is enough for anyone to be depressed.

Morrison would probably play it a lot closer to the early Archie books. Morrison likes to go back to the roots of characters so I think he'd make things a lot more cartoony. My ideal vision of this book would be him writing Sonic as Teenage Superman.

I can't say he's most favorite writer but he was the only one i can think of the time.

And I'll admit: Snyder is stupid, he's basically a big kid smashing action figures.

But gosh darn, it he puts so much effort in justifying his playtime and he comes up with the coolest/dumbest shit, it just reminds me of why I like comics.

I think JG's writing style could be really cool for a Sonic show. Not sure how long it could last but I would be interested to see a couple episodes. Close Enough is never coming out.
