Literally the only negative quality the show’s developed is its overreliance on formatting episodes with an A-plot featuring the kids and a B-plot with the parents at the restaurant.
And even then, Bob’s Burgers still manages to be funny and feel fresh beyond that crutch mentioned above.

Despite looking cruddy at first glance, Bob's Burgers actually has quite the appealing art style. The wonky Muppet-inspired faces are pretty fun once you get used to them.
Season 1 may look like a cheap [adult swim] original, but starting with Season 2, the show really ramps up its visuals (animation, posing, line art, etc.).
