Vendetti has gotten better since Hal and Pals. His New 52 Green Lantern run before that wasn't that good.

What do we think of the art?

Oliffe used to be really good, like on Untold Tales of Spider-Man. The messiness is probably on the inker. If the credited Tom Palmer is the same Tom Palmer of 80's/90's Avengers fame then the messiness is probably because he's old as hell and has been out of the game for a while.

Always nice to see Shade.

It's a testament that no one has tried to mess with that portrayal even in the nu52

Because Robinson got to it first before anyone could muck with it hence the Shade maxi series during the New 52.
