Why is she so angry?

She hasn't completely made Jonathan's body hers yet. One side is still slightly weaker.

the show is very upfront about how awful PD was.

she sees the horrendous atrocities committed by Homeworld and can't do anything about it due to being considered a clown with no business being taken seriously

None of the characters in the show give a single solitary shit though so it is just kind of frustrating.

the funny thing is though is that it wasn't. the one thing she did that was definitely selfish was stop pearl from mentioning the past, but it's also understandable considering she definitely has ptsd from her life as pink

i highly doubt it was the biggest, the only reason it was so talked about was due to pink diamond's demise. she did everything she could as pink though, the show literally says this out loud but the diamonds just do not care. she cant be assertive no matter what; shed never be taken seriously. in all of the diamonds eyes, she is imperfection. they definitely won't say it though.

she could have just left instead of faking her death.

this isn't true for a multitude of reasons. first off, the war was never about her. first it was just to get homeworld off of earth permanently, but then it was about freeing gems of all kinds who were beaten down by homeworld's rigorous and authoritarian government (just like her i might add). the gems who were following rose liked her because she wasn't a diamond; the rebellion-era CGs had a large disliking for the diamonds (yknow, who they were trying to get away from) and this is something rose understood. if she had started the rebellion as pink no one would have followed her, and she couldn't even set a single gem free

she had no idea whatsoever the diamonds would launch a corruption beam, the reason she had essentially killed her past self was so the war would finally cease. this was shortsighted obviously, and had done everything she could to try to uncorrupt various corrupted gems. she so clearly detested and blamed herself for the corruption when it was the diamonds fault in the first place.
