Quasimodo gets the girl in the direct-to-video sequel, though!

>baiting with a dead site

so Esmaralda needs to take his gross disfigured dick just because he saved her life? bitch owes him nothing

His whole arc was never about falling in love, but being able to walk among the crowd and feel accepted, but he just became overly attached with Esmeralda because she was the first person who didn't hate him.

Star vs
Steven Universe
Legend of Korra

Why was this adapted at all?

Why did they show his heart breaking for like 40 straight continuous seconds? I mean god damn. Phoebus looked like he was in the afterglow of an orgasm once that long kiss concluded. I'm surprised Quasimodo didn't murder rape anyone or order his demonic stone minions to, like, crush them to death.

Most Disney films.

cartoons don't teach lessons

Wasn't this based off a book?

Would they have preferred the original version where she gets hung and quasimoto humps her grave till he dies of starvation?

Yes. Quasimodo was a straight up villain in it too.

Now that's a real message right there

Always hated that film. They made him a fucking cuck. That was painful to watch.

Basically every Disney movie and cartoon

>love triangle with Esmerelda and Frollo
>Frollo

So confirmed for never having watched the film?

Frollo saw Esmeralda as a devil. Quasi saw her as an angel and his saviour. Phoebus saw her as a prime Stacey human being, that's why he got the girl.

Come on, they even sign about it several times.

Sing, fuck me

WHEN WILL THEY LEARN?

Seeing Yea Forums struggle to accept the fact that Quasi valued Esmeralda more as a person than an object to win and that's why he respects her choosing Phoebus and that's actually good writing.

Quasimodo got what he needed, not what he thought he wanted. He wanted the acceptance of the town at large, which he got. Esmeralda was just an avatar of that that he got overly attached to. He loved this idealized version of her that didn't exist. The dude got carried around as a damn hero by the whole city at the end. He came out alright.

This.

>real life
>horrible lesson
I bet you also hated Monsters U because the ending was "a bummer"?

It's realistic what's the problem?

The answer is The Little Mermaid.

>it's wrong to give up your voice for the sake of a man
>people (typically older, fatter women) will convince you to give up your agency as a means of getting what you want
>parents should try to understand their children instead of just demanding blind respect and loyalty, but kids should try and level with their parents rather than recklessly defying them because they're horny
Little Mermaid has a great lesson and only bluepilled brainlets who can't into subtext think otherwise.

reminder that the alternate ending is much more emotionally satisfying

>ariel actually apologizes to her dad
>Triton stops hating humans after Eric saves his life
>the chef doesn't want to kill Sebastian anymore

Yeah sure it has nothing to do with Quasi being an ugly short incel and the other guy being a stunning hot tall Chad. If Quasi was just beeing himself and 'respected Esmeralda as a person' she totally would have fucked his brains out right?

It's accurate to real life.

>run away from home to be with a guy you literally don't even know is good
Little mermaid is fucking stupid.

Reality is not an horrible lesson.

This circles back around to the fact that most women aren't machines that'll fuck you after you drop enough 'nice coins' into them. Quasimodo was nice to Esmeralda and was a good friend to her. That doesn't mean she has to fall in love with him.

>This circles back around
Nice moving of the goalposts there.

Hahahahahahaha.

Just because it's horrible doesn't mean it's not true. The ugly guy never gets the girl, not even a homeless gypsie wants Quasimodo's deformed ass.

That's actually a wonderful lesson, even if the short ugly guy with a bad upbringing can't get laid, you should still accept he's a person and shouldn't be cruel to him. Not baging Esmerelda didn't make him less of a person.

Nowadays it would end with everyone calling him an incel and him quietly slinking back into the church where he belongs.

>people forget Phoebus was nice and respectful to Esmeralda too

Like when he ordered his guards to arrest her to be executed?

Well of course he doesn't they both fucking die.

On Frollo's orders, before he introduced himself and met her properly, after witnessing an apparent crime.

Like when he saved her from the guards when he first rode into town, and then lied for her and said she claimed sanctuary in Notre Dame after they had a conversation where he actually treated her like another human being.

And slept with her while Quasimodo watched while crying hehe

Are we talking about the Disney movie or the book? Last I checked it was Frollo who was watching like a cuck in the closet when they banged. They just kissed in the bell tower in the movie.

After idly watching Frollo encourage the public assault of an innocent man

Reminder that Esmerelda was a French child kidnapped by gypsies while Quasimodo was the deformed gypsy they left in exchange

>he thinks the villain's plan is the moral of the story
Ok retard

Oh yeah, I'm sure it had nothing to do with that Quasimodo had the mental capacity of a child and probably doesn't even know what sex is thanks to his sheltered life under Frollo.

The protagonist chose to run away so she can be with a complete stranger and in the end it work out without any problem besidess the fat lady trying to bring her down, the guy fall in love with her and the two have a perfect marriage.

Is a fucking stupid story that portrayed this stupid choice as something good, countless girls get kidnapped every single year because of this retarded ass scenario.

>implying the entire message of the movie isn't "don't sacrifice your voice for a guy"
>implying Eric didn't already love Ariel since she saved his life, thus rendering her insecurities moot
>implying Ursula didn't exploit those insecurities for her own personal gain
>implying the day isn't saved when Ariel regains her voice and Eric fucking saves everyone by murdering Ursula with a boat
>implying Disney movies about singing crabs are responsible for the human trafficking epidemic and not lack of border security and conflation of advising caution and common sense with victim blaming
Ok retard

The directors were huge fans of the original novel.

This is incredibly accurate. It's a good lesson to teach. You really can't fix ugly

>Quasimodo was a villain
So did they just totally overhaul the story in their adaptation?

You're fucking retarded, none of your points contradict what I just said, she blindly trusted a complete strange putting herself at his mercy and the story reward her by him being a perfect prince that saved her.

Literally their first scene together has her saving his life, it's made very clear early on that the Prince isn't some abusive rapist. Pay attention, this movie is literally made for 5 year olds to understand.

>Hunchback is a tragic story
WOW NO SHIT

The Chicken Little movie shows you how to be a horrible father without having to rape your kid.

A lesser girl

but he is a lesser man

I don't know man he was feeling up that wooden pillar real good as he watched his heart get ripped out.

I actually really liked the message in the movie
Its better to show kids early how the real world works instead of coddling them
Makes the wake up call and death of innocence much worse for them if theyve been coddled all their lives

Man, I'd hate to see how reacts to the novel.

Attached: mehsuzu.png (177x152, 31K)

he did? what's her like?

He was dizzy and confused, looks like you didn't paid attention.

Btw this is not enough to know someone.

Blond and potentially jailbait

The virgin dexter vs the chad Johnny

Not really because he wouldn't act like Esmerelda owes him sex at any point.

Wasn't the guy she gets with the one that either tried to rape/kill her in the original story?

No he wasn't you fucking idiot

He also let another innocent woman burn to death

Lion King is kind of fucked up in the sense that it taught kids not to be who they wanted to be, and instead stay in the class/role you're supposed to.

nah fuck you. this is the most incel interpretation of the story possible.

so what should the "lesson" have been? hey kids, if you white knight hard enough then you are entitled to the hottest girl in town, regardless of how she could never find you physically attractive?

You're a fucking retard. That wasn't the "lesson" of the movie and not liking it doesn't make it a bad lesson.

What are bad lessons are generally lessons with political slants. South Park had a couple of bad lessons although some of them are done deliberately as a joke. One bad lesson is how illegal immigration is actually good for the country.

There is also this caveman cartoon called "Human Discoveries" that tried push a gun control message using "hand spears" as an analogy completely ignoring the non-violent uses of a knife. It ends with everyone throwing their "hand spears" off a cliff.

Attached: southpark.jpg (480x360, 39K)

The ugly are the most descriminated against group. Nobody loves the ugly. There's not a support group for them. No one will throw a parade for them. The ugly don't even like the ugly.

Thats not horrible, its true.

I need pictures!

For God's sake stop namefagging this is not reddit

Thats a tripfag.

Boco, let me poop in your mouth.

.....What?

>a*****e
spotlight, uh
moonlight, uh

He saw Esmeralda as an angel. Someone who was pure and perfect, not a person. This served to juxtapose Frollo's physical lust for her, condemning her for being a demon or a witch. Quasimodo held her up on a pedestal because she was the first person to treat him like being born wasn't a crime. He misinterpreted her kindness as caring for him to an intimate level. It was an unhealthy obsession, no matter how innocent it may have seemed.

Esmerlda still takes pity on Quasimodo and still asks for Sanctuary in the church, but there are a lot of changes. In the book Esmeralda is a 16 year old virgin. She gets seduced by Phoebus (who is married). Frollo is obsessed with Esmeralda and stalks her. Frollo finds out that she loves Phoebus, so he stabs him. Everyone thinks that Phoebus is dead and Frollo frames Esmeralda for Phoebus's "murder." Esmeralda is sentenced to be hanged. Phoebus is aware of this, but lets her be executed anyway. Frollo offers to save Esmeralda from hanging if she'll be with him, but she says no and tells him that she still loves Phoebus. Esmeralda is hanged. Quasimodo freaks out when he sees her corpse hanging from the scaffolding and he steals her body. He has sex with her corpse. Years later, their intertwined bones are found in a crypt.

pretty based of Quasimodo ngl
