Wasn't me. I really, really don't care about Vriska, good or bad, so I wouldn't be bothering with her. But bullying Rose is an excellent premise to work with, yeah. I got way too many ideas, but they're not typically porn-popular ones. Rose does something that inspires a great need to see her suffering.

I skimmed them both and read some parts when it caught my interest, but overall it just felt like fanfic that wanted to be porn. At least it gave lots of ideas for actual smut fic.

The story started with a small handful of characters, the pace and plot was fast and intriguing, and the cast bounced off of one another great.

Then the cast expanded manyfold, the plot went nowhere, dozens of plot points were dropped, and the entire ride draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagged its feet for years, to an unsatisfying conclusion. Very strong start in the 2009-2011 years, went nowhere after that.

Oh, it is a good flash. Again, no argument. I just didn't care for the plot beats, or the sudden influx of 8 more trolls. I think it destroyed a lot of the magic of 1-4, when you had a much tighter cast bouncing off of one another, and creating a much faster sense of pace and connection.

Jade felt like she was intended to play way more into the video-gamey side of things, before that entire plot idea was thrown into the garbage. She used to be a really fun and weird character, and seeing her develop anger and more social skills was really neat, until she became a plot device and weird fetish outlet. Early on, I thought her and Rose would eventually work together to figure out a way to usurp the Alpha of the Alpha Timeline, in order to give that property to ALL timelines, changing the nature of the game forever by defeating English through the allowance of infinite alternate timelines and paradox loops.

Instead they gladly followed fate in lockstep.

This would be nice, as pretty much all the characters at at their best at or close to their introductions, but it seems unlikely due to logistics. How would MSPA Reader travel from John's home to Jade's Island, let alone between Post and Pre Scratch Earths as well as to Alternia?

This would also be cool, as the characters and plot of the epilouges could definitley use some more exploration. However it again seems unlikely due to the trickiness of dealing with the timeline split as well as the fact that I doubt WP wants to alienate the huge amout of potential buyers who haven't read the epilouges.

Friendsim is written by a lot of different people, so the quality varies pretty dramatically. Some are really good, some really aren't. Hiveswap act 1 isn't great but the writing team for that was shitcanned so maybe act 2 will be better? More likely though it just won't happen at all

He dropped it for the story, though, and he created a good, imaginative story with good, engagin characters.
Then he completely lost the plot and gave the story back over to the fans, but the fanbase had completely shifted from channer/somethingawful shitposters to ostentatious teenagers who were obsessed with homos and social justice.
It became a huge, contrived mess and you could tell by the end Hussie was a husk of his former self, a shell of a man. The irreverent and offensive humor completely gave way to paragraphs of homoangst and super srs lectures on abuse.
The fans built the series, Hussie improved on it, then the fans absolutely demolished it.
I loved this comic so much 2009-2015. It disgusts me what it turned into in the end, and it horrifies me that its shambling corpse still wanders aimlessly to this day.
What even happened to Hussie? Is he just existing ironically at this point?

Want to know one Act 6 concept I did think was seriously cool, ignoring that it was a brief return to form with Caliborn playing his session? The idea that his unlock was Earth itself as a Land. That's fucking tremendous. And it's cool to imagine a weird variant session where the players glitch out and have to deal with a Earth-becomes-LOCAM scenario.

It's what I don't get about Homestuck. The game stuff invited endless variation and alternates and ideas to explore, but it was abandoned for a lot of bullshit.

Maybe conceptually it's the final level of every single other Land, all patchworked together into a single superquest.

When Act 7 dropped I promised myself that I'd create something. I would use all of my burning rage and sorrow and make art, as a giant middle finger to Hussie. And in the years since, I've accomplished nothing. I make small advances here and there before tiring out and stopping or moving onto another project. Maybe blind, unbridled rage isn't the right emotion to create with, and I need to embrace positive emotions, and create with the memories of all the good times.

Or maybe that's a load of horseshit, and my problem is that my rage isn't refined enough. I need to focus my anger, immerse myself in the fandom and the culture once more so that I can have it etched into me at all times, make my fury a part of my soul and become unrelenting in my quest.
