HOW????? How does this keep happening? Why do so many super-villains keep getting released from prison after only a few months? They're not rich guys that can bribe their way out. It would make sense if they included a line that the Ring-Master used his hypnotism to make the judge release them early, but Stan apparently thinks you can try to scam and steal money from hundreds of people, and then walk it off after a few months. Same thing happened with the Beetle and a bunch of other villains.

The publisher of those magazines was Manvis Publishing, a sister company of Timely, which was Marvel's Golden Age forerunner. Strictly, therefore, Ka-Zar is the oldest Marvel character still in use that they created for themselves. (There are, of course, a few older ones - mythological figures like Thor, and out-of-copyright characters such as Dracula have been incorporated into the Marvel Universe. But Marvel didn't create them.)
