I brought up other monster of the week comedies such as Regular Show as a good example of a long form comedy series, Adventure Time as an example of a shit one. I loved Gravity Falls, but thought the main villains were a bit of a weak-spot because their defeats were usually always played up for laughs. So I appreciate that the first big confrontation with Grime and Sasha kept things relatively serious.

Mordecai got insufferable, tadpole shitter also did. Regular show however delt with Mordecai (Or any character for that matter) being too much by splitting time, not every episode had them front and center, while Amp only has the core 3, all day every day. Tadpole is the worst of the 4 I agree but she has yet to be dealbreaker level which Mordecai got. At least for me.

Then RS started doing stuff like make Eileen part of the main cast, which I mean she wasn't awful but at the same time that's really the best compliment I can also give. Really, the cast just kinda just lost their spark on me with the exception of Benson who throughout has consistently been my favorite character.

Meanwhile I actually like the dynamic the other three characters have. I find them all pretty funny and endearing. Maybe I'll get annoyed of them too if the show drags but for right now, I think they're mostly great.

Sasha would learn to be less of a manipulative jerk by staying with the Plantars. Anne would probably eventually show off her strength and get Grime to make her a high ranking officer like Sasha was. Reunion would play out way differently. Sasha would probably be able to easily convince Anne to turn on Grime and possibly apologize to Anne afterward for how she's been to her. Things would have worked out a lot better in this scenario.

I'll give you the other examples, but they had Star drooling over some ugly negress in season 4, so she stopped being straight. As cute as Anne/Sasha is, I don't think it should actually happen in the show since Anne and Sasha's arc is about mending a broken friendship.

Amphibia had a relatively more humble concept compared to Amphibia. Amphibia had a frog world with monsters that were essentially just bigger versions of regular animals, while Owl house had a DEMON world (and most people would say demons are more interesting than frogs) with all sorts of crazy looking monsters. So Owl House had a lot more "sparkle" than Amphibia.
