However I find the problem more to be that the gay pairing fan made shit, which already dwarfs most het shipping in all but a few fandoms, will be pretty much the only thing that gets made from that point on. Fandoms are willing to go out of their way to change straight characters to gay but never the other way around because of the moral thought police. It's hypocrisy at its finest and it's why I hate it when creators give a character a concrete sexuality in a twitter post when romance isn't relevant to the series yet if ever. It shunts fanwork creativity.
