Hard to say. I had him since I was 7. First pet. Grew up on a farm isolated from everyone so he was kind of my chill buddy that would follow me around when at the house. He was a pretty awesome cat. Was very independent and could kill snakes and such. Would drag them upstairs and meow at the door for approval. Very hardy cat.
Left town for university etc. Got a call that Tiger was probably on his last legs. Flew back home. He was pretty immobile at the time. Clearly wasn't able to look after his fur. I stayed downstairs with him that night and played some classical music for him (he used to sit on the piano when I played) to keep him calm.
He stopped breathing. I sort of massaged life back into him briefly in my panic but when I saw him start breathing again, I just comforted him and told him it was okay until he stopped breathing again.
About 6 years later, mum finally got a new cat. This time a Maine Coon, but with almost exactly the same appearance as old Tiger. We sort of look at him like the reincarnation. But Tiger was actually a fierce cat that wouldn't take shit while the Coon is an extremely friendly cat that would never scratch you. The personality is quite different. Doesn't matter. I just see my old cat whenever I look at him.
I can't give you tips on how to deal with it. People manage differently. I was just glad I was able to be there when he died. I would have regretted it forever if that hadn't been the case.

The only thing I can say is that if you can and have the option to, always be there in their final moments. Always.
That comic and this post is making me feel things for our boy cat who passed away last Christmas. Even to this day when I talk about our pets I still say "We have three cats and a dog... oh, I mean two cats."
Since you have other pets, if and when it happens. They also just 'know' and are a source of tremendous comfort in grief.
What helped me was the newest kitten we had started to things our boy cat did, she would purr up against my keyboard and lie there while I played games and sleep on my computer chair whenever I wasn't using it. Things he always did. While she still had her own personality, it was like a passing of a baton as before he passed she never did those things.
Whether it's sudden or expected, it's going to hurt like hell but each day always gets easier, not necessarily better, but easier. The sadness turns to smiles, and you remember the good times.
Take pictures, plenty of them and often whenever you can of them.
And lastly, just love them as much as you possibly can.

What did you not like about Vision? Personally I enjoyed how, despite being a cape comic, the super heroics were on the back burner for the suspenseful drama of watching Vis’ experiment unfold, it was very sad, gripping and well made I felt. It was easily the best comic Marvel produced that year followed by Carnage by Conway and SM/DP by Joe Kelly. My one major complaint about the series is what it did with Victor, but I was never a big fan of the Runaways beyond the first volume so his role in the series didn’t trigger me nearly as badly as it did some.

I mostly read non-cape comics. The Vision was a weak and dull version of something I felt I've already read, this time with superheroes. The art wasn't great. I find it a bit crazy that it got such widespread acclaim, because it isn't good, and people that consider it Watchmen-tier are absolutely fucking retarded.

The Avengers take the guy into custody, Vision finds out that the only reason the guy was there in the first place was because the Avengers asked him to go snooping on Vision's family, Vision realizes that he was an absentee father because that was part of his "normal parenting" plan, and now Vision decides to kill his friend to avenge his son's death.
Cap, the beacon of honesty and virtue, gave Vision that lighter he had on him during WW2. Vision is breaking the shield house arrest field in order to go to Shield HQ and rip the heart out of the guy who killed his son. The burnt lighter on the ground could mean multiple things.
