I preferred the debatably-canon "video game testers transformed and thrown into an alternate dimension" origin from Nintendo Power. "Debatably" because the SNES game paid reference to it.

I'll wait until they release better art of her instead of this. The most egregious thing about her for me is the ears.

Watching that game trailer, I feel like they're sticking with the "Ninja Turtle" ripoff schtick, because I was getting a real "Rise" vibe off the designs.

This new design (and your response to it) even gives me the same kind of vibe I got from peoples' reaction to black April.

Because you can see it coming down her back like a cape, but the inside of it combines with the inside of the coat.
Like someone forgot to separate the coat and cape or forgot which of the two they were going with and ended up fusing them together.
