What does Yea Forums think of Pennyworth? There's been four episodes, but I never see it discussed.

Because it’s dumb as shit and has no people dressed as bats.
Cause it has no reason to have any comic book connections and it really doesn't outside of literally names.
Because no one knows what the fuck epix is.
never heard of it before, honestly thought the poster was fanmade and this thread was going to be one of those cringy roleplaying threads where we pretend theres a king of the hill game before googling it lmao
>Alfred gets a serious live-action movie about him before Robin does
TTG used this as a joke and I still can't believe DC actually did it
Because no one owns Epix
I actually torrented the show and it's fine. Nothing outstanding, just a old timey spy show with a Batman skin
>four episodes
Well shit. I didn't even know it had premiered.
>show about Batman's butler
Who the fuck even asked for this?
shameless cashgrab.
Because fuck DC and /fuck batman shows without batman
>Frankly, old chap, I've always found bats to be the most vengeful of nocturnal predator. [winks]
It's ok but stuff like that's been a little too on the nose
I dunno I'll wait for the blue ray to watch it
>A batman prequel series starring a young spy Alfred, with zero connection to batman otherwise
>On Epix, a literally who channel that no one has heard about and is likely not available outside the US
Jesus christ. What the hell is DC thinking? This is even worse than the Aunt May spy prequel movie that Sony wanted to make. Literally no one asked for this and no one will see it either, they're just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. No wonder DC is failing while marvel is top of the ladder now, they just keep doing nonsensical series about side characters that no one is interested in.
Do they at least hint at Batman stuff? Or maybe is the natural progression of the story going to Batman stuff?
DC doesn't think they just see what Marvel does and copies it in the worst ways possible
I have to say it's much, much better than it should be. It's main saving point it's not a hamfisted prequel that has to shoehorn in dumb batman references all the time like the first season of gotham (didn't watch past that so give me shit about how it gets good later).
It's basicly an espionage story + dealing with returning to civilian life and KEEP GETTING PULLED BACK IN AGAIN with Alfred as the protagonist. The setting is quite interesting, it takes place in some weird alternate history where
- The German empire is still around
- Zeppelins are common in the UK
- Some weird civil war is about to be unleashed by far left nutters and far right nutters
- Corporal punishment is common and public
It's kinda fun honestly. Latest episode had a good twist.
3 episodes actually. But I love it.
why does dc put disgusting lesbian propaganda in every piece of media?
No, fourth episode came out yesterday.
Or actually, the fist three episodes were leaked. The real schedule is, ep 1-2 were released together, and ep 3-4 came out yesterday, officially.
Pretty fun episode too, enjoy yourself
Shit really? Thanks for the heads up!
Oh fuck.
This is a show, so technically Robin got his "serious live action" project first via Titans
Never mind, I found a way to watch it.
I find that DC's top hat is that their characters are so timeless that any kind of story can be told with them. There's no Definite Version of Alfred and they're focusing more on his days as a British Spy during the WWII. A lot of actors and famous people participated in the War, like Sir Christopher Lee, Julia Childs, and even the Queen of England.
