I get the impression that he’s frustrated over a side project becoming his biggest career success. Aside from Camp Lazlo he hasn’t really made anything successful. People are taking exception to the almost completely positive reaction the character received from normally apathetic and selfish characters and that a trans character would get highlighted without any contribution to comedy. The original show was about presenting then modern day scenarios like plane rides and mega super markets and putting Rocko in comedically exaggerated situations. This is a character going “I’m a woman now” and the characters go “That’s great!” Where’s the joke?
