Why dont they feel like friends?

Cap never seemed to really care about him. Their entire relationship as portrayed on screen just makes Sam seem like Cap's protective fanboy. I'm struggling to remember a scene aside from the final scene of Endgame where Cap genuinely talked to Sam like a friend.

Tony and Peter have a similar relationship that feels less one sided because we've been shown time and time again they both care about each other. It's a real shame Sam got such a shaft in the films since he is Cap's definitive best friend in the comics.

Sam and Bucky are the OTP of BFFs in MCU

Because in the comics they took time and effort to establish their friendship. In the movies Cap's pal was Bucky and Sam was just this black dude he knew and sort of respected a bit.

Cap became a support counsellor in honour of Sam. We see it in Endgame. Alas that is all other than the closing scenes with Sam. It's mostly subtext.

The Russo's focus on Tony's relationship with Peter not for narrative reasons but because of Iron Man and Spiderman being the most popular characters.

The most egregious example of this is "I lost the kid" when Tony meets Cap, even though Cap only met Spidey once, briefly.

Cap is hugely popular, but Falcon is not. So that relationship got shafted. To a large extent he is the "black sidekick".

I can’t focus on any movie or scene Cap is in because I just think of him getting gangbanged by Nazis.

they're more very respectful associates. it's professional but mutual respect

it's kinda kino, cap is a different generation but they both have the military bond, sam respects cap's legend but isn't afraid to to suggest his own ideas/do his own thing. both are old-school lead by example types and just step up when necessary

Cap never seemed to truly be close to anyone outside of his timeline. Even other members in the Avengers he was much more distant compared to Bucky. I just chalked that up to Cap never being able to get over being a man out of time and unable to fully form relationships with present day people because all he could do was think about past people he could never be with again.

Mackie nails the right balance between Sam's humour and seriousness.

Cap is from the 40's. Just treating a black person as a fellow human being is the height of interracial friendship in his mind. And in Sam's case it's "don't trust whitey" reverse racism of the 10's. It's amazing how these two racists act as friendly as they do.

Because every Captain America movie was a pro forma effort in checking off boxes to move The Marvel Cinematic Universe story arc along.

First a lack of chemistry. Anthony Mack is terrible.

Second, no writing suggesting any intimate bond. They basically tell you they like each other, nothing ever happens to establish a deep bond, hes just a decent guy Cap met who coincidentally once got to wear fake wings for the army so he asks for his help.

Third, MCU Falcon sucks, plain and simple. His main appeal in comics is his characterization. In the MCU he fluctuates between fucking boring and acting like A-train from the boys, because that's basically who Anthony Mackie, A-train from the Amazon adaptation, and it shows through his acting, nevermind interviews.

Because there was no standalone Cap movie between them meeting and Cap hanging up the shield. You never get to see them do shit together past their first meeting.

>First a lack of chemistry. Anthony Mack is terrible.

It really is a pattern.
After seeing Disney's choice for the role of Shang Chi, it is clear that Disney never chooses chad male actors for black and asian roles.
When they were choosing the actor for the role of Sam Wilson I thought they were going to choose Tyson Beckford, but now we can see how Disney thinks.

Why does Captains face look like he had plastic surgery?

they do a lot of it in comics especially in the 70s
this is the problem of the mcu, they have no social life or friends
a real life
what made marvel have a soul in comics
mcu can not recreate in the movies

He needs to be a "lesbian" to work with Alonso

bad light, botox and a bad wig

The MCU never bothered to play into the friendship aspect of the Avengers too hard except for a select few pairs and it's one of the things that hurt it most IMO.

No...

Cap was born in a different time
