oh no i've seen enough interviews and know about him calming down a ton with age, but still he totally would do it if given the opportunity or thinks he can get away with it.

Why wouldn't you want the parents being finally identified be the climax of the movie? Showing them in the middle wouldn't make sense.

It fit a lot better than whatever the theatrical HA! movie was. And movie adaptions should be different or more advanced than the original show only when it's plot-wise.

Honestly Vasquez strikes me as just an all around douche. And, based on his handling of Bravest Warriors, and incompetent one at that. I'm beginning to think more and more that he just got lucky with Invader Zim and it was more of a "right place right time" situation.

The movie had Arnold being some kind of fucking "chosen one" who could magically cure everyone of the sleeping disease. There was never anything paranormal at all in the original series (except for that one ghost episode, but ghosts and magic aren't the same thing.)

This didnt feel like a theatrical release. It felt like a cheap licensed comic someone made the mistake of turning into a half hour special

It was ok for Hey Arnold! standars, at least way better than the Hey Arnold! Movie (but that's not much saying). The third act was kinda weak, and a lot of the Arnold's classmates did nothing at all in the entire film. i like that movie, not gonna lie, but it had no objective public, it was driven by pure nostalgia bait. i can see why this movie ruined any future Nick's movie revival (Rocko and Zim and the long time canceled by now Ren & Stimpy Movies were already in production, those were lucky.

Everything about that movie felt so unsatisfying after all these years. The best part was the video Arnold's friends put together thanking him for all he'd done and after that it just kept getting worse.

eh i'd recommend reading his comic work Jthm if you haven't already, because compared to now he's full edgelord. iz was a weird phenomenon for the time visually and content wise and i think that was one of the things that stuck with people all these years.

it did all these things but it wasnt good, it wasnt funny. It constantly felt like they where trying to rush to the ending, none of the scenes work alone. I would bet real money the script was over an hour long and they had to cut it down mid development, literally the best part was the trailer and first 2 minutes

hey arnold the jungle movie, i think it broadcasted about two years ago.

Cause he has a decent set of skills, is a pretty good writer and artist, and has some self awareness to himself. I also think it helps Johnny was an idea he has sitting around for a long time and actually thought about before putting ink to paper.
You could also make the argument he "worked" for it more, and is kinda where a lot of stuff that falls under what your talking about is derived from. In a way they're sorta imitating.
Idk man. I know Yea Forums shits on Jhonen, but I'd argue all his work still holds up surprisingly well. I've also met the dude a few times at cons and he seems pretty cool honestly.
