I wasn't a fan of Jack taking a whole episode to learn it's okay to kill people in terms of self-defense, only to never wind up killing any humans again for the rest of the show. It felt needlessly drawn out for a one-off thing.

Yeah, most everything after episode 3 kinda sucked, but it still hit the main points. If S5 ended with Aku running off and Jack still trapped in the future, then I would have been pissed.

If I have only one complaint, it's the lackluster battle with Aku. It should have been longer, more serious, more like the Birth of Aku episodes and after it, we should have seen jack say goodbye to his friends, instead of jumping to the portal with no second thought.
