they were both forgettable
I want Book of life to be better, but Coco is a better movie
Book of life is what I wanted.
Coco is what I didn't know I wanted.
One on the right showed more creativity and was more ambitious.
One on the left threw money at the screen and just followed Pixar's tried and tested "mismatched pair road trip movie with 5 minutes to make you cry" formula that they've used for ever non-sequel in the last 10+ years.
Coco made me cry
Book of Life made me wish for another season of El Tigre
Book of Life has its charm but Coco is objectively the better movie.
He should really just ask Nick if he can do a netflix special now for El Tigre instead of reusing his characters as a movie cameo
The one without the cringy Radiohead cover
oh yeah.
And both made me play Guacamelee 1 and 2
>Radiohead
The one that didn't steal a story from a real family without giving them a single cent of the profits
story: coco
visuals: BoL
I really don't care for the culture of a corrupt, failed country. South America in general is shit colonized by the rape-babies of Spain.
Coco, Book of Life was very meh outside visuals.
Book of Life could've been great with it's designs and atmosphere, but got held down by unfunny non-sequiters and quips.
Coco on the other hand was a much more serious and restrained movie that only had humor when it was appropriate.
I disagree with you.
They're both Disney so what's the point
BOTH
FUCK WHO HATES 'EM
NOT EVEN MEXICAN THEY ARE JUST WHOLESOME AND COMFY AF
ESPECIALLY THE FINAL CONFRONTATIONS
FUCK Y'ALL
>BoL
>Disney
Please don't reincarnate as a knife or sword.
BUT I'M A CREEEEEEP
I'M A HWEIRDOOOO
Both are fuckable so it's a tough choice.
I agree with you
This. I prefer Book of Life's premise, art style, and the whole dynamic of kids caught in the middle of a stupid bet between Gods.
But Coco was better in execution and had less Radiohead covers.
Mexico is Central America
BRAMONKREP
No risk of splinters if you go for the twink though.
Mexico is North America
Book of Life has higher highs and lower lows for more inconsistent experience, although I still really enjoyed what worked in that movie. Coco was more consistent overall but it never really reached the same highs as Book of Life did for me. Plus the "twist" villain was somewhat predictable, but I still liked it.
If I had to choose I'd give it to Book of Life just because they were a bit more ambitious, even if that meant they failed in some aspects of movie making, but both are pretty damn good movies in their own right.
I hate Coco, it shows the family shit were you have to do what you family wants we live in Mexico and nobody bats and eye, I don't get why it's so loved.
The boy had to travel to the dead and back to get permission to do what he wanted.
look it up
Coco is best Pixar movie of the decade, meanwhile Coco had neat artstyle.
*BOOK OF LIFE had neat artstyle.
Anything south of AMERICA is SOUTH america
His family did right by him in the end though, so whatever.
That was proven fake
And North America consists of Canada, the United States, and Mexico
I think Book of Life could have been amazing if it was a little bit more mature. Have Manolo actually kill the bull to please his father so he has something to feel guilty over, give the leading lady more of a personality than being perfect, have someone in the trio acknowledge that the god's bet was stupid rather than simply following through on it, and have the death of the protagonist's entire family amount to more than a quick gag at the end.
Oh, and more original songs.
Book of life didn't even have a sound track, it was just clips and references to sub-par pop songs.
I think the Carribean is also considered part of North America. I know you can use the green passport card to go to the Carribean, Mexico, the US, and Canada via land or sea.
One is full mexican stuff
The other is what USA think is mexican
BoL is so "Chicano" it hurts
>Book of life
If Book of life was drawn like coco instead of puppets or have original music, many more people would of like it.
Haven't seen Book of Life, but Coco blew me away and I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Its not like the story isn't anything new, but the way it's executed makes it really rewatchable and the visuals and soundtrack and amazing (showing that Pixar can easily compete with Disney proper on a OST level).
BoL was made by someone born in Mexico tho wtf Coco was chicano as fuck with the Frida cameo
that was requirement from the executive, he wouldnt fund the movie otherwise
>(showing that Pixar can easily compete with Disney proper on a OST level).
they're same thing
>BoL was made by someone born in Mexico
youtube.com
Oh yes , very mexican music
I thought book of life was better. Coco has it's merits but the forced feels wrecked it. NO SOUL
I don't want to watch either of them again so TIE
Technically they are, but if you had told me before Coco released that Pixar could make a full musical I'd have been pretty skeptical.
This is an easy way to troll Mexicans
Is Greenland North America
