Who is your favorite new character of this decade?

.. is Starro (jr?) the new Robin?

Jessica Cruz.

Was gonna say this

I dunno. I can't think of anyone that immediately jumps out. I kind of like Aero but I worry she's just gonna get shuffled away sooner rather than later.

Neurotic anxiety-ridden woman who deserve a ring because she can get to the grocery store without panicking.

I think I understand why new characters are so trash and never sticks. Back then the characters had real issues you could eventually relate to. Sure Batman had his parents killed but he inspired you to do better. Same with Spider-Man, and others.

Today they have no compelling origin, they don't inspire any sympathy or respect. You can't look up to what they represent.

Kenan Kong
I also like Jessica Cruz and Viv Vision a lot.

He's sure as shit being treated better by Batdad than all the others.

Far, far better.

Hah, I keep forgetting Jessica's backstory. When you put it like that she reminds me of King from OPM.

Anyway yeah I like Jarro, Kenan and Sideways legitimitely as characters. And I sense the star vampiress from the new Hal Jordan who is Starbreaker's daughter has great potential.

The fact that you keep forgetting her is why no one will ever care about the character.

Well I said it in the 90s thread but heroes these days aren't about inspiring people to be greater, they just want to be handed things and told they're good if they keep on keeping on.

People already care about Jess though. She's even made it to media outside of comics. You not liking her doesn't mean she doesn't have fans.

Jessica's whole thing is overcoming her crippling anxiety. How is that not inspiring people to be greater?

He's the best Robin.

No, he's Best Bat-Mite.

"Go outside" really isn't the most tragic of morals

Oh shit, a fun DC child character that’s a friend of the Robins.
When is he getting aged up into a teenager?

I mean there's more to anxiety than that.

Has he even met them?

What does she stands for and what drives her? What archetype does she embody besides "neurotic millenial"

>When is he getting aged up into a teenager?
He's gonna self-sacrifice to save everyone from real Starro.

Kenan Kong

I love this character, I pray he doesn't fall into obscurity or get screwed over by DC

Yes and people who have it don't get magic space cop rings.

the god of symbiotes from venom and silver surfer: black

Does Cheetah’s face change in every issue?

I hope he does fuck Jarro, fuck Batman, fuck Snyder, and most importantly FUCK (YOU).

what about people who overcome the influence of a evil technicolor rainbow lantern deity

Jarro a fuckin cute, bruh

Jessica Cruz, Robbie Reyes and Sideways all spring to mind immediately.

Yeah they do, see Jessica Cruz.

>What does she stands for and what drives her?
Overcoming fears.

Blinky, Viv, Iso, and Reader

Naomi. Hopefully, Bendis doesn't mess her up.

Jarro is exactly the casual bait Snyder wanted him to be.

Her fear was social anxiety. That's shit.

The best answer in this thread.

The basic trope of never back off and keep moving forward.

Her social anxiety is fueled for the PSTD and survivor's guilt of saw her friends get shot and murder in front of her.

Sword Master is neat. I'm into all the new asian market attractions Marvel has recently released.

Fear is Fear.

White Rabbit.

What was that new hero that was hispanic or mexican that coupd teleport? He was like the new Spider Man kinda thing and I remember his standalone being really good but can't remember his name for the life of me. I hate all the new SJW shit with the new characters but he was just a genuinely fun, well written character that was growing up. Was his name like, Sidestep or something?

Sideways

Sideways but he couldn't even speak Spanish.

THIS

Yeah! Thanks, anons. I liked the design for him and thought it was a good idea, but while the comic was good (Not great), I'd rather have this as a flagship Nu-Marvel character than a minority + female version of an older mainstay superhero. At least he's a creative, fun addition.

Who dat?

Only good answers so far.

Flint grew on me

They still make good new characters? Could have fooled me.

I hope Saladin brings Blinky back

Amka/Snowguard from the champions.

A boring character with null development in a book bloated of other characters with null development.

Thanks
Perfect, that's my favourite kind of book

Yikes

The ring literally comes to people who overcome great fear, retard

I get the logic behind Cruz getting a ring but I'm surprised all the nerds on Twitter who self diagnose didnt complain more about Cruz' anxiety and ring being tied to basically having the willpower to get over it. All of them seethe at the idea that you can get over anxiety without medication

Kenan Kong, Sideways, and the Avengers Academy crew were all pretty memorable.

No Robbie Reyes fans?

I still think Sideways is a silly name but I like him.

>Flint grew on me
Same. I like his Power set and his design is probably my favorite of the Nuhumans next to Reader.

These

Apama. I had a blast reading it.

I thought he was older than 10 years, but yeah Robbie's cool

Although I miss Kenan, I am glad that he isn't being written by Bendis.

Jarro's pretty cool

This decade as in the 10s or within ten years? If it's the latter than the Unspoken
