It was only as a grown person that I realized what Casper was actually meant to represent, but as a very young kid I only knew him as a friendly cartoon character who went on adventures.

Harvey Kids were for the most part noneffensive children's pablum, it's not a surprise that they're mostly forgotten.
The good Harvey stuff is usually a complete re-imagination of the characters ala 90's Casper Movie or Harvey Street Kids. Unless you're a 4 year old child, I'd skip most Harvey comics and even then there's better stuff to read.

We got Richie Rich now and he is buddies with Casper in the comics and by extension Wendy. It's still possible! Though it'd be weird if a lot of people bandwagon on the show in it's 3rd+ season just because Casper and/or Wendy become a thing.
I'm not holding out too much hope. I'm sure they have the rights to the characters but if they were going to use them they would instead 1. Give them their own show since they're WAY more marketable or 2. drop some hints online. We'll see though, here's hoping. I'm loving HSK regardless thanks to Audrey.

I hear ya, but also, HSK Audrey is really really fun. Classic Audrey has a charm HSK Audrey can't match but I think a lot of that comes from the fact Classic Audrey wears a cute super short dress and was CONFIRMED drawn as "curvy" as possible. I bet if HSK Audrey ever has to wear a dress and act sweet we'll see the good old Classic Audrey charm.
TLDR: HSK Audrey lacks a softness and feminine charm that Classic Audrey has.
