Yes it's worth the watch. The books are good too since they're a bit different tone-wise from the show.

It is "comfy" but a pretty unique comfy. It's pretty interesting and the music is awesome. Although you're probably going to be bored by Episode 3 since they ditch the forest element and move to the city. I suggest watch it and think about it.

I couldn't finish it. I found it extremely boring. I don't know if it's actually boring or if I'm just burnt out on the entire "indietronic hipster comfy light fantasy mystery" shtick. Hilda just comes across as something that showed up late to the last party given the recent change in direction with a smorgasbord offering full of things moving from I guess what you're calling 'le comfy' meme.
