The final day has arrived of our ten episode journey, Yea Forums. Will Tulip reach back home? Will we get a second season? Questions will be answered. Soon. Join Tulip and One-One as she takes her final journey on the... Infinity Train™.
Airs at 7:30 PM EST.
Synopsis: >Tulip takes a risk trusting an old foe. >Tulip makes it to the front of the train and is faced with a choice.
You realize spamming this shit is just going to make everyone hate it as much as MLP and Homestuck, right?
Easton Butler
They waited until a couple of hours before the actual show airs this time. Yesterday the watch thread was up all day.
Samuel Cook
OUR LAST EPISODE IS TODAY YOU FUCKING SU FAGGOT.
Jack Bailey
Waited for page 10 for the last subjected thread. The "My name is Tulip thread" isn't exactly a talkback thread. If the mods delete this thread, then that's on them.
And it's the final episode, user, discussion will last a week at most.
I have a question; When did this get a series? Is it any good?
Adrian Richardson
Where have you been? Yea Forums has been talking about this shit for like 2 weeks straight.
Adrian Wilson
He's making so obvious he isn't dead. Fucking hack
Gabriel Martinez
>When did this get a series? It was announced last year and was premiered last Monday. >Is it any good? You're in for a ride, but it does have pacing issues?
Day two of still being attracted to the chrome cops.
Chase Torres
Amphibia or Mao Mao.
Easton Taylor
Thanks based You're a faggot.
Juan Walker
Mao Mao
Ethan Gonzalez
123TV's stream is two minutes behind everyone, hooligan.
Connor Ramirez
She-ra Trollhunters Amphibia Twelve Forever
Sebastian Evans
All Mega, I was hoping to catch it live tonight but I guess I won't be able to. My connection is being shit so unless it fixes itself in the less than 30 minutes I guess I'll just wait for the Mega and try to avoid spoilers.
Jason Jones
I just finished watching of Motorcity on Kimcartoon, they can stop adblock, but they can't stop Ublock. So I'm gonna start on watching all of Infinity Train now
Lucas Lopez
Imagine being this much of a drool drinking lobotomite
SU has a tv movie coming out September 2nd if you feel like something feature-length. Otherwise is a good list.
Luke Thomas
Anyone notice what looked like Randall in a jar at the prize booth in Ball Pit Car?
Zachary James
Fun and dangerous adventures with a sherrif cat and robot armed badger patrolling and saving a town while they bring their passionate bat sidekick.
Lincoln Garcia
I'm ready for disappoint just like the rest of the show.
Cameron Campbell
I'm ready for disappointment just like the rest of the show.
Luis Rogers
well the ENTIRE THING has to conclude in 15 mins time i thought they would make it like a 2-parter, where 2 of the 15 min episodes are a long ending but no, they basically have NOTHING set up and have to SET IT ALL UP PLUS END IT its going to be a plane crash apparently when pitched there were two sets of stores ones that were train car puzzles, 100% long puzzle and then STORY PROGRESSING episodes since they only wanted one season, we got story progressing episodes only, which made everything seemed rushed EVEN WORSE because of this they had to re-write the final episode
Anyone else think Tulip sounds too much like a boy?
Zachary Peterson
LET'S GOOOOO
Carson Russell
If I knew this was the finale thread I wouldn't have been posting in the other one. I think this divorce shit is really tryhard.
Jaxon Myers
sadly fren, yes, the frogs will win not because its a better show, infinity train WAS a good show, but CN saw little value in it you can even tell this by how they simply put it before the regular adult swim line up (cartoons the think will pull in large amounts of people get placed before lesser failing cartoons) CN ruin it with their demands, schedual, and pants on head retarded ways they view a cartoon as "good" uncle shitpa got plenty of air time, teen titans go is played 90% of the time all the time every single cartoon uses the most cheap method of animation possible, they refuse to pay for properly drawn things THEF ROGS DONT WIN, CN RUINED THE SHOW, VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE SHOW BEING BAD SAD!
Luis Fisher
meh, hardly. The Steward is the only real similarity. Also is there any good Steward art yet?
The backstory for her was just as infuriatingly annoying as Tulip's personal drama except the conductor could have just been a villain and not some sad woman trapped.
No this is shit. Anne bros I'm sorry for going against you.
Elijah Gray
American adverts are cancer
Connor Ross
Okay so the train is for people with emotional shit but this chick couldn't get past her shit, corrupted the train, and turned into Glados
Evan Scott
Okay "why" are you all mad?
Ian Ward
>actually defending rebecca at all
only took the entire series!
Aaron Roberts
It is her fault for everything else Fuck off
Charles Bell
this is such a let down, i wanted train lore, mystical beasts and a creepy bubble dimension in which the train resides and all that shit instead we got >lol zero meant i could go home, but first i have to save muh dog, suddenly im a genius and can work with eletrontics because i barely coded a game using a coding book >lol take me to the engine >get there, no battle, just talk it out with the conductor >y-you're just hurting, i was hurting too over muh divorce, pls change muh dog back >lol okay >door home appears again >step in taking my dog and robot >home >end with me making up with my mom and dad and apologizing, then they apologize, we both smile and she asks where i got a talking dog and highly advanced AI robot ball
Doesn't that happen almost everytime a new cartoon' threads blow Yea Forums tho?
Ayden Peterson
>WILL RETURN
AW YEAH
Jeremiah Perez
No, Amelia is shit, fuck that dude dies and then everything becomes about the GIRL having issues, and this entire deep retarded backstory, and fuck Tulip getting away with that shit she pulled at the start.
I'm pretty fucking annoyed. This shit is a dumpster fire and another season will just be more cancer and I don't want to have to sit through Yea Forums saying its redeemed even when it isnt whenever they do something shitty.
Easton Myers
CNScoop said that was for SU. For IT, he said that S2 would be confirmed.
That man is legitimately psychic.
Xavier Hill
7/10
Austin Rodriguez
2.5 starts out of 5. For reference I would give teen titans go 2 stars.
Jason Baker
F Maybe if this was idk 12 episodes and not FUCKING RUSHED FOR 10 it would have been a little better.
Benjamin Phillips
That was her character. Shit's like Garou.
Wyatt Rogers
because she's OBSESSED
she's just a lonely edgelord
Levi Long
2/10
Christopher White
Fuck CN. I hope Owen Dennis offs himself
Hunter Price
just OK/10
Austin Ramirez
3/10 and those 3 points are for creativity, I'd give that a 4 but even the creative shit was kind of garbage
Alexander Price
I gotta say, this cartoon feels like a let's play of those indie point and click adventure games that have a weird theme to it.
Hudson Campbell
My only gripe is how they glossed over the aftermath of Tulip being gone for so long I'm fine with Amelia
Chase Cruz
Aggressively mediocre 4/10. Like the Legend of Korra it's written as if they thought they were going to only have 1 season but got signed up for more later.
Dominic Perry
What are the odds that the miniseries served as a one-shot and the next series will be a full reboot series with Tulip first getting on the train again with a longer series?
Carter Ortiz
Had loads of potential, but fell flat.
3/10.
Zachary Cox
10/10 honestly more satisfied with this ending than I was with OTGW's ending. This climax really hit every note perfectly
Never seen Amphibia, hope it lives up to the hype
Hunter Russell
Mega?
Kayden Lewis
6.5 maybe 7/10
Ryan Rogers
And with that, the shITs' place as inferiors to the fannes is cemented.
D'you happen to have that post? I remember the thread just not the exact wording. I know they're still working on SU I just don't really buy that "Beyond Steven Universe" rumor that gets posted here from time to time.
Kayden Smith
Well wander was a better show than this, that's for true
Nicholas Johnson
What do you mean "make?"
Jordan Turner
GOD I HATE WOMEN, THIS SHOW BAD BECAUSE VILLAIN IS WOMAN. HOW DARE THAT BITCH LOVE HER HUSBAND. WHY COULDN'T CONDUCTOR BE THE MAN INSTEAD, THEN THE WRITING WOULD INSTANTLY BE GOOD.
>Arguably one of the few good things CN is broadcasting. It's as bad as the others.
>That man is legitimately psychic. Or you know, has sources.
Jayden Perez
It was definitely rushed, but I think this was also to test the waters to see if something like this could work. There’s a lot of potential here for good character stories as they try to get their exits.
Jaxon Wright
5.5/10. Good concepts, fucking abysmal execution. Totally beefed the squid on the ending.
Michael Gomez
Probably just the voice changer he had.
Jayden Perez
So when can we expect a MEGA? Y'know, since the stream crashed?
Levi Gomez
CN has no good shows. Fuck everything
Jaxon Sanders
I think the frogs won this one.
No we wait for Owl House and see it delivers.
Xavier Parker
AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHA IT WAS SHIT. IT WAS ALL FUCKING SHIT. HOW DO YOU MAKE EVEN THE FINAL EPISODE FEEL LIKE A FILLER PLOT AHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAAHA
>WILL RETURN >tulip no longer has a reflection Okay, tell me what, AT ALL, they could use for season two, besides the no reflection mirror version and the cunt with a number that's....not even able to be named which by the way is mathematically impossible, the cunt would've had to do the wrong thing every picosecond of her life and she'd still need to live a million years SO TELL ME WHAT SEASON TWO COULD EVEN INCLUDE nah this shit is done, never returning that was left in because they thought they'd buy more than 1 (deeply shortened) season
Show is bad because the twist of one-one being the conductor was obvious as fuck. Should have had some episodic non-plot episodes if the plot was going to be so obvious and anti-climatic
Christopher Young
A pile of trash sligthy less stinky than another pile of trash isn't really a solid benchmark tho.
Ryder Hill
And now, it’s finally time for for the question we’ve all been waiting for strawpoll.me/18453372
Yeah, but am I supposed to believe she ripped out the core after being denied, then managed to program it with her husband's voice?
Adrian Gray
BASED MEGA POSTER
Lucas Morris
Basically just for fun adventures with One One and Atticus. I guess possibly diving into the nature of the train and where it came from, but then it's just the show that was supposed to be made in the first place.
Grayson Robinson
>if you can guess a twist, it’s bad
Hunter Phillips
Easy, going by what the leaker guy said Season 2 might probably feature a different MC.
Parker Stewart
Ha ha! Reverse Portal 2 Ending!
Noah Clark
Thanks user, stream sucks hard.
Christopher Kelly
thanks user
Camden Morales
>WHY COULDN'T CONDUCTOR BE THE MAN INSTEAD, THEN THE WRITING WOULD INSTANTLY BE GOOD. If the dude that died was somehow the conductor that one have been more interesting than a poor woman who lost her boyfriend and all this dumb fucking sympathy shit.
Samuel Cruz
I want to pee on Tulip
Henry Hill
Half the fun is guessing the twist and if it's too obvious it's a let down.
Evan Kelly
Okay how bad is it really and how much is it Amphibia fags stirring up shit? This is getting tiresome
Cameron Lewis
Getting a security error
Hunter King
What did you think of Jimmy Two-Shoes? Wander reminded me of it.
For the record, I'm upset because Amelia arguably has better motivation than Tulip.
Jordan Bailey
How could they die, and also be the conductor? The Train takes people who can't move on, it's not the afterlife.
William Garcia
It was okay, if somewhat rushed. Amphibiafags are stirring shit up mostly
Easton Clark
Pink Diamond was a bad twist because people guessed it since S2 and the SU crew had to say "no no no" for years until finally saying "okay yeah it was her". Ford was a good twist.
Sebastian Kelly
Pink Diamond really was, that shit was fucking awful. I try my best to forget watching those episodes. Ford was better though it was figured out ages in advance, Pink was just so obvious that it fucking hurt.
Ayden Miller
It was perfect, you'd have to be a moron to not appreciate it. From the very beginning, the "conductor" seemed too aggressive and evil to have created something as complex as the infinity train. It makes more sense now that Emilia was really a false conductor
Jacob Williams
Well I always thought this series would work best as a mini-series. But I also like the idea of it being like an anthology type series where it could follow a new protag each season I guess. Cause it seems like the train is just a place that picks up people running away from their problems and tries to teach them the error of their ways,
Jayden Sullivan
>worse than SU hold on, thats a bold statement
Oliver Hill
Well, Pink Diamond ruined every other character's development. So yes, but bot because of how predictable it was or wasn't.
Isaiah Jackson
This horseshit is why we get Marvel movies. The twist isn't "fun" unless it makes no sense or comes out of completely nowhere with MAYBE one hint towards it.
Brandon Richardson
I thought OTGW ending would be kinda bad and boring i regret
Xavier Garcia
>SU fans guessed their twist and it was bad >GF fans guessed their twist and it was good Fucking what?
Sebastian Wright
>That black lady whose numbers was 53k
Leo Bell
:)
Adrian Howard
So everything is just fine even though she ran away and shit for that long and its just glossed over and she gets no repercussions.
Gavin Scott
These posters are legitimately lowering my opinion of Amphibia
Asher Roberts
Yeah, I can already feel this show being forgotten.
Jaxson Price
Ah the train takes people that are running away from their problems right?
Matthew Nguyen
This was a worse twist than either of those and that is really saying something considering how bad SU s5 was.
Anthony Howard
Also the Ford twist was obvious, but foreshadowed in a pretty reasonable way. Pink Diamond twist was retarded because it made no fucking sense the moment one lawyer gem thought about it for 30 seconds.
>The twist isn't "fun" unless it makes no sense or comes out of completely nowhere with MAYBE one hint towards it. My favorite part of The Sixth Sense was how everyone talked to Bruce Willis and could see him.
thy are just shitposters ignore them thy have nothing to do with the show
Angel Walker
How?
Jacob Brown
>This is officially worse than SU If this kind of shit was dragged out for as many seasons as SU, I might agree. As it is this was just 10 episodes of shit and unfortunately more coming but unknown amounts.
Lincoln Flores
It's not like you're supposed to beat the shit out of a kid who ran away.
It's just the regular Yea Forums anons who love to complain
Julian Garcia
There is only one or two of them and they probably didn't even watch Amphibia
Easton Butler
Seems like it. Tulip couldn't get over her parent's divorce, and the other one couldn't get over her husband's death.
Jordan Baker
I liked the Pink Diamond twist because it made Rose out to be a selfish whore instead of the perfect leader everyone thought she was. Doesn't matter if I guessed it early on.
Jaxson Adams
>It was perfect, you'd have to be a moron to not appreciate it. This was the worst bullshit I have seen in awhile, fuck off. It's been ran through the mud but that backstory was pure cringe.
Connor Nelson
No, they were just so obvious the reveal and the consequences couldn't possibly match up to anyone's expectations.
Hudson Butler
Ford was just as obvious
Carter Flores
Can't tell if you're serious or not because they hint at with his wife not directly looking at him and not talking to him, rather at him.
Christian Barnes
7/10, I liked it. Amelia's reveal was great and made her a good foil to Tulip. Much better than your stock evil robot. Execution could've been better but it basically delivered everything I could've asked for.
Don't let them fool you, it's a good show too.
Nolan Hughes
I don't like the idea of different protagonists 2bh, even if it's the only logical next step besides giving Tulip more problems, which would be just silly
Leo Cruz
The crew loved that people figured it out so fast. Not every creator is a crotchety asshole trying to "trick" the fans.
Next season will be about Tulip's black friend and her gay feelings for Tulip.
Eli Flores
Damn dudes, I was hoping there was more to it than that. Guess the numbers really were just measuring her growth. I was hoping it'd be some kinda like metaphorical journey, that makes you question if it happened or not, but guess not.
I still enjoyed the ride though, so that's something. Maybe Season 2 will do something crazy with it.
Liam Young
I was a big fan of SU until Lars died and then slogged to it's No U conclusion so I'm pretty confident when saying this, user: at least IT was quick.
Jayden Gutierrez
It’s a shill user. They’ve been on this board for years
Mason Baker
I think the creator said it was inspired by Doctor Who
Oliver Howard
"face your problems, don't run from them" is a common moral and this is a mediocre execution of it
Charles Walker
>Pearl Enhanced her development >Amethyst Didn't matter either way since she didn't know Pink >Garnet More powerful than ever thanks to Ruby and Sapphire casting off Rose's teachings >Peridot Never cared in the first place and was born after Pink was "shattered" >Lapis No affiliation with Pink or Rose whatsoever >Bismuth Needed a longer return episode but otherwise fine
I'm not seeing the issue here.
Nolan Phillips
She was a complete bitch the least we could have got was her saying god damn sorry instead of a nice reset button tier ending. Tulip deserved all the suffering she had on that train times ten.
But keep responding in that exaggerated way, faggot.
Charles Sullivan
Solid 8
Jayden Gomez
Honestly it was over too quickly, so there was no way that finale was gonna be amazaballs or anything. But it did the job well and concluded in a way that doesn't revolve around Tulip magically fixing everything, so there's room enough for another season to work with while still concluding Tulip's story if that's where it ends for her.
Dominic Powell
Well-regarded by normalfags
Jordan Clark
The person streaming on 123 rewound to the point where the stream crashed. Based
Hudson Reed
>being a fan of SU >ever You’re retarded
Gavin Barnes
Hey dude, any chance you could repeat what you said about SU? I can't seem to find the posts you made in that one thread.
Dominic Adams
>love to complain Fuck you this actually offended me with how bad it was, the fact a living human wrote this burns me up inside. This shit wasn't deep, neither girls' stories were feelsy, it was just shlock.
Julian Allen
Half of season one was great and I was fooled
Matthew Sanders
Because after she got on the train everybody thought she was dead.
Bentley Sanders
>Pre Twist Pearl: Confidant Rebel who fought against their ex-owner, Pink Diamond >Post Twist Pearl: A loyal slave who had a crush on their master >Pre Twist Garnet: Was forced to rebel, due to their forbidden love >Post Twist Garnet: Pink could have easily taken charge and made Garnet legal, but refused >Pre Twist Amethyst: Was deformed due to the absence of any kind of management after the Gem Civil War >Post Twist Amethyst: Pink just... forgot about the Kindergartens, I guess?
Joseph Cruz
Amphibia has >jokes that actually make you laugh >lovable characters >real worldbuilding >well structured stories
Infinity Train has >misplaced forgettable humor >bland characters >a pile of undercooked mysteries with bad payoffs >fractured rushed storytelling
The saddest part is I was rooting for Infinity Train but there is absolutely no denying that Amphibia won.
Brayden Bennett
Because OtGW wasn’t woke enough
Ian Gray
Given how rushed this felt, I appreciate over the garden wall even more now because how how well paced it was.
Blake Hill
Exaggerated? Thing can be implied. Why so angry?
Isaac Cooper
>It was perfect Ehh .I had issues concerning the pacing of things. These issues predate the finale. >If the dude that died was somehow the conductor that one have been more interesting I disagree personally. As far as the themes of the show go, Amelia made sense as the antagonist. Things could have been executed better though. Nah. Man and proud, bout to jack it to some Amphibia rule 34 featuring best girl Sasha.
Matthew Turner
Towards the event it was but in Season 1 there were deep theories and shit. Pink Diamond's Rose shit was anything a 5th grader could see because colors.
Gavin Peterson
but with one-one running the train, and the mecha retard out of the picture, there is no bad guys, theres nothing wrong, everything was resolved and we never really did get to know where the fuck the train is or how it all happened, just some vague shit because someone was too lazy to actually write their story
Ayden Allen
You'd piss off its retarded Svtfoe duel phase fandom if you wreck their cuttie girls narrative tho.
Parker Mitchell
Pearl loved Rose, not Pink. Your argument falls apart on the first line.
Brandon Watson
Who the fuck cares, it's not a contest.
Noah Nelson
I just couldn't stand Tulip. She was angry half the time and sounded like a boy.
Jacob Cox
Over The Garden Wall had proper 23 minute episodes to actually HAVE pacing in, didn't it?
Chase Perry
They were never in competition you fucktard.
Noah Campbell
It was her under the blanket, they never said he or she during it, just that "Their Service is starting soon."
Ryan Perez
Kinda dumb of her to give up and recreate him rather than trying to get off the train in the beginning.
Parker Garcia
>there is no bad guys, theres nothing wrong, everything was resolved yeah because nothing ever changes between two seasons
>and we never really did get to know where the fuck the train is or how it all happened wow it's almost like they're saving that for future seasons
Jayden Perry
Well-regarded for a M.Night movie.
Brayden Perez
It's far from perfect. But it was a fun ride.
Jacob Hughes
how new are you guys?
Xavier Clark
>fun adventures with One One and Atticus one-one pretty much has to live and stay in the engine room, when removed he was endlessly trying to get back, hes a control module that stays in place Atticus literally has to go back and be king for his "people"
Adam Peterson
It all made sense! The conductor wasn't an evil robot, just a skilled but broken engineer doing their best impersonation of a villain. Her boyfriend's voice changer and sunglasses, the flute melody to hack the phone (which is based on some real dial tone phone hacks from back in the 1960s), and the fact that the "conductor" tracked Tulip down in yesterday's episode just to try to kill everybody and fuck with her meanspiritedly. The crew actually did all the groundwork setting up the main bad for the reveal to make total sense, and the way the final fight went was so satisfying, I'm really lost on how anyone didn't enjoy what just happened
Jordan Morgan
>amazaballs Get the fuck out of here.
Jaxson Gutierrez
BASED
Ian Robinson
I’m starting to think you’re biased
Logan Ramirez
Did you even watch the show?
Landon White
Please tell us that the writers' room will get a massive overhaul between season.
Please.
Jordan Ortiz
Dunno, I believe they only began staffing up and working on it in recent months. Might be waiting until 2020.
In 2017 I heard SU was aimed for 9 seasons - but I'm not too short now if that was just table talk or actually a thing. Again last I heard Steven's VA, Zach, is traveling for about a year.
Asher Taylor
shut the fuck up and die
Lucas Richardson
On one hand, good for Infinity train, on the other hand, poor Mao Mao
Longer than you, little boy. Now let the big kids talk about a cartoon and go back to arguing about memes on twitch.
John Roberts
They're the same person. Pearl loved Pink Diamond.
Landon Young
The competition is all in your head. But please, keep up the autistic fandom rivalry
Nathan Price
>you thought the robot was a guy who was sad his girlfriend died, the most cliche backstory of a gloomy asshole villian >Psych! it's actually a woman who was sad her boyfriend died! Good job?
Camden Thomas
Boom, doesn't know jack shit the creators clearly left clues for everything for attentive fans, get with it
Cooper Foster
Kinda like the Rocko movie from earlier today where it was saying you need to accept change, but went about it in an awful way.
Maybe just go back to fun episodic shit for awhile until this awful tumblr webcomic message shit gets out of creators' bloodstream.
Levi Thompson
Seems like just a supernatural thing that would sound retarded to actually explain.
Like the train was created by humanities collective guilt or interdimensional aliens did it.
Why would you Want it explained?
Evan Evans
lol no each episode was 11 minutes long just like Infinity Train. The biggest difference is OTGW had good writing and IT didn't
Ryder Carter
The reason she got on the train in the first place was that she couldn't let go.
Gabriel Stewart
give it to me straight doc, are we getting a new protagonist or not? cause i don't want a new protagonist
Nathan Young
so the same general story, except this time with no bad guy and one-one running the show properly and now we know what the number is so no mystery, its just an arbitrary measurement of how much progress a person has to make emotionally to get their exit I wont calm down because I have ZERO good things to watch now, theres nothing on, not a single good, well animated cartoon with a progressing story and no i dont count the eye sore shit made on very low budgets using 3d rendering, or muh "forever 12" crap
Cameron Thompson
Do these shows have similar timeslots? I know they're not on the same channel so why the comparison?
Connor Russell
Is this going to be like OKKO where retards pretend their shit show is a renaissance in cartooning?
Mason Ramirez
>concluded in a way that doesn't revolve around Tulip magically fixing everything I dunno, her story ended with her getting off the hook for such a bullshit action and she doesn't give a shit about Amelia after she gets home.
Ryan Davis
Also OtGW didn’t have a woke protagonist
Jace Flores
This is the truth. Sorry fellas, but Infinity Train dropped the ball.
Joseph Ward
No it wouldn't do it, the rate at which the number grows makes no sense then when compared to tulips
Because of the shitty way the story and Amelia were handled, those don't matter. The train was capable of functioning without One One or Amelia at the helm. Even if it's only for a brief break, One One can probably leave the engine room to fuck off in any car. Atticus left his people for what's presumed to be weeks or months to help Tulip. They can alst a day without him.
Gabriel Allen
You'd think you'd learn not to reply after being here so long but I guess you still have a lot to learn
Caleb Clark
You're right it just decided to have a good protagonist instead.
William Peterson
A trope isn't automatically bad
Lincoln Taylor
>she doesn't give a shit about Amelia after she gets home. She knows One-One will help her, it's his job.
Gabriel Nguyen
This applies to Amph and 12 threads as well
Julian Morgan
Did you? Pink and Rose are like Batman and Bruce Wayne. Two completely different personalities and Pink's last order was to not reveal the secret, not to follow her or love her. Pearl states this during Now We're Only Falling Apart:
>But I've been imagining things. Even when you haven't asked me to, I imagine that I ran away and met you here on Earth, a Rose Quartz. And I'm not yours, but I make you so happy anyway! Isn't that ridiculous? Tell me to stop!
Wow another MC doing the same emotional progress, doesn't even really need to move from car to car no one-one since he controls shit no atticus because he is king of his people and has to rule them thats boring to do the same crap over again
Xavier Jones
>Exaggerated? Thing can be implied. Yea, I totally was leaning into that her mom should have beat her ass for running away just because I thought it was shit she got off scott free for this entire fucking endeavor.
Christopher Flores
I liked it, but this is Yea Forums we're talking about. Everyone has something to complain about.
Charles Jenkins
>I don't want to feel bad for her! Now I know she's a person...named Amelia. Who was in love...and she's hurt. >and she's running away from change in her life On the nose to the fucking end.
Nicholas Allen
How's she woke?
Adam Torres
Thanks dude. Yeah Zach is travelling right now so I imagine they're pretty deep into S6 or done with it and focusing on what's coming next.
Nicholas Myers
>Pink and Rose are like Batman and Bruce Wayne You are full of shit just like the SU writers
Liam Morris
Tulip's went up a fee dozen in a few seconds, Amelia was trapped for literal decades. I feel like that adds up.
Gavin Collins
>season 2 has to be exactly the same as season 1 this is one of the most brainlet takes I've seen on this site, and I've been here reading brainlet takes for over 10 years
Dylan Carter
Well that'll just never happen, no one will buy season two, it was only mentioned in season one because they forgot to edit it out (but remembered to edit out all the story building, lore, puzzle cars, basically everything except progression of the main mediocre story)
Christopher Sanchez
>Amphibia WHITE PEOPLE BAD BROWN PEOPLE GOOD >Infinity Train WHITE PEOPLE GOOD ETERNAL ANGLO BAD
Laugh it up Owen, go ahead and write off all complaints as sexist Yea Forums
Brody Sanchez
Pink orders Pearl to "never speak of this again", not to stop feeling feelings for her. The explanation in that picture is at odds with the show too. Pearl implies that she's physically incapable of speaking about Pink's true nature, and has to send Steven on a mindtrip to figure it out in a roundabout way.
Jayden Smith
You sound frustrated
Xavier Brooks
I'm complaining about the little twist that changes nothing.
Definitely a question I wish they had explored. How does the number work? Like how do you quantify personal/emotional growth?
Adam Russell
Please tell me it isn't about Amelia. For gods sake.
James Nguyen
Ok. So the reveal that the conductor is just some bitch with a random sympathetic backstory instead of an evil AI or something is kinda lame, you can't just bring in some random schmuck at the last minute and try to convince me she's sympathetic. Them being able to just turn Dogmeat back with no consequences is super lame. It was great seeing the goodboy die young and tulip have to deal with that as a part of her journey, but I guess that was all for shock value. One One, obviously being fundamental to the train and having that importance treated like a twist is lame. A story that pretends that it's smarter than you by keeping it's characters dumb and uninsightful always suck. The fact that you dorks are sitting her talking about steven fucking universe rather than the lackluster finale is proof enough how unimpactful that ending was. I won't say this show shit the bed, but it definitely farted a whole bunch, and I have no intention on going back in that room any time soon. 4.5/10
Elijah Young
>Tulip had One-One and Atticus >Season 2 will have Horseradish and...?
Tulip is one of the worst female characters this decade in a cartoon.
Caleb Baker
youtu.be/IDUp2sAWreQ youtu.be/eaFpadMgL6c Anyone feeling upset over the IT finale should watch this actual good finale to get the bad taste of shit out of their mouth.
You're only getting a reply because that simile is fucking hilarious
Kevin Young
Don't worry I was referring to Wirt
Nathaniel Allen
>Everyone has something to complain about. Shut up, this is the internet where opinions differ, this isn't some "haha there goes Yea Forums again being mad" that you shitfans always do.
Zachary Hernandez
Growth = Down Reverse Growth = Up The exact number doesn't really matter. "3," isn't exactly three "Growth Points," or whatever. She is just "extremely close to zero." Amelia's exact Number doesn't matter, just know that she will be in there for a while.
Hunter Parker
This Do you guys have any idea how hyped I was for infinity train since the pilot. I wanted nothing more than a great adventure through a crazy train with a smart inquisitive protagonist solving the mystery of it all. What I got was a half baked muh divorce don't run from your problems sesame street special. I thought being a miniseries would help make it kino but all it did was make the sorry excuse for a setup to the story they actually want to tell feel empty. It makes me appreciate Amphibia so much more because of how great the characters are and how well executed their growth is, the finale was pure kino because of it. I was really dissapointed by this and every time something I thought was fucking great happened Tulip and this stupid train ruined it 3 minutes later. That will return was the nail in the coffin, I can't believe what a disaster this was.
No. If anything the Conductor twist was Modern Disney Twist Villain levels of bad. That might have been fixed if we actually spent more time with him/her.
>Why does this debate make it into every thread Because given the amount of time it took to reach a conclusion and the autism surrounding every side of it, it's the one people default to in "story-driven" cartoons right now, especially CN ones.
Ryder Flores
Pearl loves Rose. Feel free to find evidence to the contrary, but I'll tell you now you're wasting your time.
>Them being able to just turn Dogmeat back with no consequences is super lame. agreed on this one I was actually pretty surprised to see him "die," and even moreso to see him turn into a horrid monster, but then they walked it back and it seems like there was no real consequence at all.
Hunter Sanders
If you hate the board, leave
Cameron Sullivan
I mean, that's what I thought when I saw your thread way back then, I just didn't really want to believe it and wanted some confirmation, oh well.
Isaac Campbell
>The fact that you dorks are sitting her talking about steven fucking universe rather than the lackluster finale is proof enough how unimpactful that ending was.
That happens in a lot of threads. Two people, usually women, will decide to turn a completely unrelated thread into their private telephone conversation about that pile of shallow leftist garbage. Christ I remember it happening in the Samurai Jack threads all too often.
Kevin Collins
>shit arms
Jace Young
Other then regular show CN doesn't really do adult protagonists. Even then mord/rigby were more manchildren then anything.
Maybe courage counted as an adult?
Andrew Hernandez
Thanks man. If you have any sort of rebuttal I'd love to hear it, maybe you picked up on something I missed.
Juan Turner
Mirror Tulip has coming back in some way.
Ian Cox
I'm on the crystal car now and I'm liking her more and more. She's just a nerd. She's such a NERD
Andrew Taylor
Damn, I'm starting to see where that other user was coming from.
Yea Forums talkback threads are trash. Sorry for not believing you.
Dylan Diaz
Tulip turning into a badass would be more believable if we had seen her spend more time on the train. She spent plenty of her screentime walking around and talking, not learning through necessity to be so resourceful and decisive.
If one of the existing characters is part of the main group in season 2, it will definitely be her, but I feel like she'll just be a secondary character like the cat.
Noah Jones
Nope. Not an argument and not evidence either. Rose Quartz was her own person and Pearl loved that persona, not Pink Diamond. Try as hard as you might you will never find evidence to the contrary.
Gavin Reed
Facebook is the other way.
James Wright
Man that was a pile of doggy doo doo
Jaxon Long
Are you upset or something? I have seen every episode of SU and after how great season one was I don't need to analyze s5 to know the writer's reach far exceeded their grasp. You are just making excuses for it.
Hey while we're at it what do you think of the upcoming movie? I can't get past the design of the villain, looks like a cross between XJ-9 and something from sonic the hedgehog. I also think it's going to be a let down given the way they have the villain getting so much screen time in the advertisements. Like after how SU was about reconsecration now the ads make it look like there will be a big conflict again out of nowhere. Why couldn't the movie be the ending to SU season 5?
Camden Cruz
I mean, on the unfinished car she literally starts using the broken physics to her advantage to make it to One-One. It was rushed, but you can see the signs of her getting more capable.
Eli Morgan
Or no time at all, since all she has to do is get over the loss of her husband. Just meditate and let it go. Boom down to zero.
>with a smart inquisitive protagonist solving the mystery of it all This was handled really badly since the beginning, but the series made it worse because we knew she was just some bizarrely capable 13 year old girl who wanted to code and shit and can do pretty much anything but control her emotions.
Pearl was crushing on Pink before Rose existed. Watch the fuckin' episode.
Jace Carter
What other user?
Ryder Hall
Finch
Dominic Clark
Such a good premise forever ruined by a hack like Own.
Chase Murphy
To be fair, no 13 year old wants to control their emotions. They have to be made to, which sort of happened by the end.
Justin Turner
It took Tulip months to go down a hundredish and she is going up to her neck. Amelia will get over it, but it will take a while.
William King
I loved the art style and animation. I can't stand the voice acting. I have only been in the threads for today, have there been any other posts about the voice acting? All the ones in this thread are me.
Evan Hernandez
And boom, I just got the source to back up my argument.
Not him but I just want to get off my chest how shittily anime inspired the movie looks complete with timeskip and the evil tower in the center of town the MC has to climb. Rebecca is the worst with her anime shit
Nathan Campbell
The one who said they would watch the series a few months later after the shitposting ended.
As much as I'd like to believe Yea Forums won't affect my opinion on a cartoon it always does, and rarely for the better.
Evan Anderson
>It has references to things I've seen in anime, so it's anime inspired >Towers only exist in anime >Timeskips only exist in anime
Ethan Mitchell
How is /reddit/ enjoying the finale?
Sebastian Baker
Getting Atticus back was part of Tulip's journey too though. Once she realized she was on the train because she was running from her problems, her exit opened up. Tulip could've left right there, Atticus would've stayed a monster roach, and One-One would've never made it to the engine room. But because Tulip grew as a character, she chose not to run from that problem and instead used her hacking skills to try to save her friend.
Anthony Jenkins
That haircut is so much better than Tulips usual ponytail. The ranking is Regular (as shown in the picture) > Short Hair > Ponytail
Okay and? Even the Batman analogy doesm't work. There is no difference between Batman and Bruce. Bruce isn't real, a mask for Batman. Rose also isn't real, just a mask for Pink. That's all there is to it. Who gives a shit what lies they say on Tumblr? They also said Rose and Pink weren't the same person, even though they are.
Tulip is a child. And While Amelia is all messed up, everyone is different at getting over things. Even if it did take her forever to get over it, some else with just as high a number could get it down instantly. The point is, the number should at least represent something.
Nathan Long
not that I give a fuck about steven universe but I feel the need to point out that the only way the series could be more anime is if it aped the art style like Avatar did
Christian Perez
What a bore.
Nicholas Howard
Sure, you fucking baiting faggot that's your opinion and I can't change your views on cartoons
Camden Lewis
Fuck you, you know damn well this is about Rebecca, you can cherrypick this circumstance all you want but she is notorious for shoving anime shit into important scenes and entire plots. Hell even fucking important fights are ""references"" to anime fights.
Don't even fucking start in this shit thread.
Jacob Jackson
Yeah, and I get that, but I still think returning him to normal 20 minutes later with no lasting consequences was a lame way to resolve what initially appeared to be a major character death. Dragon Ball characters have to go through more to come back to life.
Carson Adams
I for one am fine with Atticus coming back, what I'm fine with is basically everything else.
Leo Butler
And Pearl loved Batman, not Bruce Wayne. It's a pretty simple analogy user I don't know why you're so stubborn about this. It was only after Pink gave up her old life that Pearl started to fall in love with her.
Rebecca grew up with all the toonami shit that we did. I'm not surprised she wanted to work some of it into her show.
Camden Lopez
Yeah man I feel betrayed by the show already and now the movie just feels like it's going to be a spit in the face. I think you're just mad people are dissing on your favorite show. It's obvious you have spent a lot of time researching it in order to defend it on an imageboard given how you are linking to some random fanboy blog and the fandom wiki as if you are the only person here who reads the wiki
James Moore
I mean what I'm NOT fine with is basically everything else
Adrian Powell
It's a transcript of an official podcast you retard.
Cameron Harris
>Rebecca grew up with all the toonami shit that we did. I'm not surprised she wanted to work some of it into her show. yes, so it's retarded to argue that the show isn't anime-inspired
Kevin Lee
well that was fucking shit
Jack Richardson
Should have been 12 episodes, a full 22 minutes with no cure for Addicus. Also more time for Amelia to feel at all impactful instead of cheap.
Dominic White
He never actually died, though. Gun turns him into roach. Reprogrammed gun turns him back into dog. Makes sense to me.
Matthew Ward
British are evil dude.
Nicholas Diaz
There was an abrupt stop in the mega file. Is the very last line "I'm ready for anything" and immediate cut to black or credits?
Nobody said that and I certainly didn't. I'm arguging that certain things aren't exclusive to anime. Like seriously, fighting on top of a tower is a trope as old as media itself.
Brandon Sanchez
I legit can't understand the viscerally strong negative reaction here. I enjoyed it. It wasn't OTGW tier, but still very enjoyable. I thought it delivered on it's premise of unique puzzle worlds in each car with a mystery stringing them together. I thought the protagonist didn't make cringy stupid decisions, and had personal problems that I could sympathize with, without rolling my eyes. I don't expect everyone to love everything I liked, but it's not like the series was a dumpster fire everyone is acting like it is.
Any time spent on her and I still would have been pissed with Amelia and her sympathy shit.
Jonathan Bennett
You still linked to a fanboy blog to defend your opinions, seetheanon
Caleb Scott
If you guys want to know why it was only 10 episodes, from what I know
Dennis really did want it like OTGW, but because of that CN only wanted to give 10 episodes. That's why the final act's pacing is so wonky. Dennis wanted more time. Future seasons may avoid this problem.
Juan Cox
R U S H E D >that 30 second epilogue Needed at least 12 episodes, I think
I'm convinced a lot of it is just baiting and shitposting for the sake of it. If you look carefully you can tell the genuine posts from the shitposts.
Brandon Flores
Wait, what even happened at the end? Did any time pass in the normal world? Did she just go back through her bedroom window? Did she just go to nerd camp some other time?
Jaxon Allen
nice image cunt
Caleb Brooks
>And Pearl loved Batman, not Bruce Wayne. Pink is the Batman, so Pearl loves Pink. Pearl liked Pink before she went to Earth. Watch the damn episode.
Camden Thomas
>I legit can't understand the viscerally strong negative reaction here Where do you think we are?
Adrian Reed
Why is it a "fanboy" blog user? Because it features the show prominently? That's your big counter argument? Don't be mad that you got proved wrong. Just stop posting and let the thread die, that way you don't have to take responsibility for fucking up.
Landon Young
>I don't under how could anyone think differently from me Autism is indeed a serious challenge.
Juan Rodriguez
Why? The story was over at that point. Adding another episode to expand on the "consequences" would be dumb.
Jace Cooper
Most of the issues I have with it aren't pacing wise, the entire point with the divorce and the endgame with Amelia was just garbage, more time spent on that would have been more time to be shit.
>If you look carefully you can tell the genuine posts from the shitposts. Yea, the Amphibia tribe shit, not everything saying this show and its ending was shit is a shitpost.
Juan Miller
You could see her house on the other side, so it seems she would have been at least dropped across the street. I assume there was no time that passed in the real world, other wise Tulip would have been gone for months.
Ryder Peterson
Watch it yourself and stop being mad you're wrong. Pearl served Pink like a regular servant and only started to crush on her when she was pretending to be Rose. Pearl never loved Pink and if your argument has anything to do with awkward blushing I suggest you just not bother.
Matthew Cooper
It just had so many problems and was rushed hard. I don't hate it, it just seemed very meh with how it turned out. But Yea Forums will get mad anything if it isn't perfect. They always get mad, so if you enjoyed it, take pride in that and enjoy it. I just didn't think it was all that great especially after how long we waited for it.
Usually I can get why Yea Forums hates something like LoK or the end of SU or something else contentious. But this is just boiling my noodles here.
John Sanchez
SU faggotry leave
Jackson Peterson
If Atticus can't be cured, then he should be killed.
Hudson Reed
I mean they essentially gave her 2 1/2 episodes out of 10, that's pretty good honestly, and there was that recent discovery that's she's hidden in the background of episode 1
Caleb Moore
SU hasn't ended and Yea Forums was completely on their own about Change Your Mind being bad anyway (like usual).
Daniel Thomas
I'm not saying it doesn't make sense. It just feels weak from a dramatic perspective. It was -effectively- a death scene, but we learn right away that there's a cure and then one half-hour later he's back to normal like nothing happened.
>Future seasons may avoid this problem. Hopefully. There wasn't nearly enough time to properly develop Amelia.
Brayden Wright
>that dude dies and then everything becomes about the GIRL having issues just like how a lot of media has the girl dying and it becomes about the GUY having issues
Lucas Ortiz
>She-Ra fuck off
Anthony Nelson
I did as well. I don't even particularly mind Amelia, I just now wish the whole show was as well-paced as OTGW. The ending felt so fast and out of nowhere. Shouldn't have spent so much time on the fucking rabbit, or even Chrome Tulip.
I don't want her to have more air time as Amelia, I felt that the Conductor wasn't even that scary because it didn't have even a cover-up motive or anything to be subverted by finding out Amelia is the pilot.
Ryder Robinson
What said
Aaron James
Watch it yourself and stop being mad you're wrong.
Anthony Stewart
Memewars aside I am fucking estatic that for once, Yea Forums agrees with me on something being godawful. I entirely expected whatever twist they did in the end to be praised and praised nonstop in OPs for weeks just because deep shit.
Gavin Bennett
>"Infinite Train Will Return" Doesn't sound like it to me.
Carson Kelly
I never got the impression Tulip was the type to leave her friends behind if they were in danger, so no real growth was shown. Her problem wasn't that she was a coward, it was that she, like you said, ran from her problems. "Killing" the dog was just a cheap way to make you feel bad, when you could have done any number of other things or made the point sharper by waiting until after she went back to save him to set her to zero. I understand showing off how much of a big damn hero she is, but I feel there are more permanent ways this could have been done. Killing off a character only to bring them back is lame
Mason Sanders
>Dennis really did want it like OTGW There is a man who doesn't know himself. He should stick to SCP-esque tech horror. Make it truly freak-of-the-week. The interpersonal story was a complete dud.
Anthony Ross
You may want to lurk more before you post here anymore. I didn't get proved wrong, I joined the reply chain half way down and you responded to my reply with unwarranted anger while I am not mad at all. I think you want the thread to die because all these posts attacking SU for having a garbage writing staff is quite upsetting you. And it is a fanboy blog, just look at the about page lamo. It's pretty laughable that you feel the need to post that here after thread thread discussing that show.
Christian Martinez
This would've been a better ending than what we got.
Mason Robinson
Based on the seven month skip at the end and the fact that she's going to camp, I'd guess it's been a year since the beginning. Meaning she was gone for five months. Even if it was at the end of the school year, that means she missed up through November. I question what her story would be. She's smart enough to not tell people she got trapped on a magic train. But would she just leave it at "I ran away for five months"? Most likely would be put into therapy. Would definitely encounter problems with friends who want answers. And the no reflection shit is gonna be hard to explain. Tulip is gonna have a rough few years at least.
Camden Brown
They literally confirmed it immediately after the last episode.
Landon Nguyen
So Infinity Train isn’t the best show I’ve ever seen, nor is it the worst. It’s probably the most OK cartoon I’ve ever seen. Anyone agree?
Elijah Cruz
>Yea Forums will get mad anything if it isn't perfect You fucks that spout this are the actual cancer, especially since you yourself pointed out and have the same issues that many and most of the others do. But no, it always has to be this "Yea Forums just wants to be upset" thing.
Andrew Ward
Can you give some examples of major problems?
Ethan Davis
>episodes by writer >Lindsay Katai The Grid Car (with Owen Dennis, Madeline Queripel, and Cole Sanchez) The Crystal Car The Chrome Car The Engine
>Alex Horab The Beach Car The Unfinished Car The Ball Pit Car
>Justin Michael The Corgi Car (with Owen Dennis also being credited due to all the stuff reused from the pilot) The Cat's Car The Past Car
Ethan Allen
It's only kind of OK.
Adrian Barnes
Let me on the train. Is it just random?
Wyatt Robinson
i just wanted cool train lore that's literally all i fucking wanted and i'm still so disappointed. jesus christ they dropped the ball so fucking hard
Ryan Ortiz
The MOST ok? I'd say it's extra average, but not the most ok.
Hunter Hernandez
I liked it like Infinity Train < Over the Garden Wall but I liked it
Lincoln Myers
You got Train Lore though?
Bentley King
>Most of the filler came from the female writer yappari
Jordan Williams
What the fuck, an cartoon with an actual good finale? Am I going insane?
Nolan Price
I'd say it's more than just ok, but just that.
Aaron Murphy
yeah, and i'm still disappointed because they didn't even execute that right
Michael Reed
>they showed somebody get disintegrated in the first episode DUDE THIS IS SO DARK >turns out he was just leaving the train to go home darkfags btfo
>I think this divorce shit is really tryhard. It isn't at all.
It got done with by episode 6.
Jaxson Brown
>>Lindsay Katai Some of these cars are blending together even though I just watched the fucking marathon but she seems to be on most of what I didn't like.
Isaac Jenkins
I wonder if they made Tulip more girly she would've been waifuized enough that criticisms of the show would've been drowned out. imo if they shaved her head and had her wear pants and changed nothing else she would've just been a nerdy boy protagonist.
Jackson Lewis
This seems incredibly accurate; I'd like to know more about what happened when she came back immediately afterwards and what will happen when she potentially returns to the train
Carson Davis
show was okay overall but that finale was beyond fucking terrible
Liam Williams
If you think this shit is good you 12 year old typing faggot then other shit would blow your mind.
Aiden Ward
Did for me.
Justin Walker
get Lindsay off the writing team for making the literal worst episodes
Asher Rivera
You mean more talented. He at least make good final.
Grayson Rogers
Did the English girl build the train or just board it?
Logan Peterson
>they killed of the dog this is so DAAARK >gets brought back
Thomas Fisher
>wah wah stop liking what I don't like Time to get tucked in user, your obviously need a nap.
Parker Lee
Rushed/10.
Okay, like a 6.5/10. It had some enjoyable parts Started off strong, got kinda boring, then got good again anytime the Steward showed up. And then it had a meh finale. But the whole thing felt like it moved way too fast. And I don't think it's just because of the 10 episode limit, which OtWG also had but still took time with the story of its episodes on top of also being 11 minutes. IT felt like it wanted to tell so much but had to cut some things out to fit the 11 minute timeframe. I think if it was 22 minutes instead it would help flesh things out a lot more. Also not a fan of the conductor being some grieving and obsessed sad lady. I was hoping he would just be a legit robotic villain. But I guess that doesn't go with the message of the show or whatever.
It wasn't bad, but it was pretty predictable what was going to happen when the cat played the tape and the two young students started talking. I instantly knew one of them had to be the conductor. I thought it was the guy until they showed the girl getting on the train, but still. Also holy shit with One One being the real conductor, did not see that coming. The show could have used another few episodes to pace it out better. Kudos on the attention to detail though Tulip was missing her reflection off the train! She walks right past a mirror to display that! That was a nice touch.
Liam Morris
Boarded. Builder is still currently unknown. Maybe One-One?
Samuel Bennett
Board it. Was trying to manipulate it for her own ends.
Jace Moore
The fuck? What is the issue? It was good.
Josiah Russell
Nope, good final.
Camden Wood
yeah the only major complaint I remotely share is "pacing felt off". It's not as good as over the garden wall but it's still alright
Cameron Perry
Remember kids, if your story is based around mystery and mysticism it's probably not a good idea to do an exposition dump about how it works leading to a tidy, unambiguous ending.
Brandon Anderson
meh/10
Jaxon Reyes
>a season ends with half one One-One's death >next season is a half working train, and a morning One, trying to make a new half
Blake Thompson
You're the one using that fucking retort.
Kayden Flores
If Owen was smart Tulip whould have been a negress, then no one could criticize the show
Sebastian Adams
>One-One's voice didn't creepy sync like in the Turtle episode
>wah wah I'm angry someone like something I don't like Would you also like a warm glass of milk?
Dylan Butler
>I thought it was the guy That isn't a woman though.
Levi Garcia
>Letting yourself get hyped You should've known better, user.
William Russell
The conductor being a generic robot baddy would have weakened the theme of the story. Having it be who it was helped give contrast to Tulips character development
Brandon Gutierrez
It would be racist to show black people getting divorced.
Gabriel Powell
>>wah wah I'm angry someone doesn't like something I do
Jonathan Thomas
>>lol zero meant i could go home, but first i have to save muh dog, suddenly im a genius and can work with eletrontics because i barely coded a game using a coding book She has been there for mouths. >>get there, no battle, just talk it out with the conductor Do you have brain problem. There definitely was a battle. > pls change muh dog back She didn't ask, she did it herself, while fighting the conductor. You have just seen it. What kind of neurological issues do you have? >>end with me making up with my mom and dad and apologizing, then they apologize, we both smile and she asks where i got a talking dog and highly advanced AI robot ball Do you live in an alternate reality?
William Hall
>he's finally gonna fix the unfinished car, and kill all those Turtles
Brayden Adams
I agree, missed opportunity.
Eli Sanchez
So how would you make the series better WITHOUT adding more episodes ?
meanwhile episodes by board team (not *as* relevant as it would be on a board driven show but still) >Sofia Alexander and Ryan Pequin The Grid Car (also with Owen Dennis, Madeline Queripel, and Cole Sanchez; Pequin merely a board revisionist) The Crystal Car The Unfinished Car (with Queripel) The Past Car
>Kellye Perdue and Sam Spina The Beach Car The Cat's Car The Ball Pit Car
>Jessie Wong and Jacob Winkler technically the Corgi Car (which was Jessie Wong and storyboard supervisor Sarah Soh adding onto/reworking Owen's pilot boards, with no Jacob) The Chrome Car The Engine
Aiden Russell
>It's a bland transcript of an official podcast >Heh, look at this fan. Look at them, not injecting their opinions and LIKING A THING Sorry user, you're the only one who is mad here. The fact all you have to counter is "LOL YOUR SOURCE IS SOMEONE WHO LIKES THE SHOW" despite them only transcribing what was said in an official podcast by the showrunner speaks volumes.
Seethe, dilate, commit various acts of sex. Whatever floats your boat, but for the love of god stop projecting your retardation and going "u mad?" because it sure as hell doesn't work when you're the one mad you aren't winning an argument.
Isaac James
You'll bitch and moan no matter what. It's the cornerstone of your ideology.
Yeah, I was hoping for more of that too.
Cameron Reyes
It would have greatly benefited from starting Tulip on the train and revealing her issues later. The cat car could have been twice as impactful if her "muh divorce" issues had been part of the mystery, crystal car too.
Kayden Sanders
There is no issue with that. THe MC happens to be female, it's not a problem.
Parker Young
>wah wah I'm gonna shitpost online like i shit in my diapers because my underdeveloped brain can explain why I do or don't like something All of you are retarded. Call me when the porn starts getting made
Owen Nelson
I feel like a lot of the issues would have been resolved if they made most of the characters guys, maybe not the pacing, but for female characters this decade there has been a fucking impossibly bad way of writing them. I feel like there would be less of a chance for that retarded ass endgame backstory if it was a dude, or just a machine.
Cooper Cooper
Lol, user you were the one who responded to my comment first, remember. Just amused at how upset you seem to be. But your right, we're just going in circles at this point.
Aiden Russell
>Tulip was missing her reflection off the train! She walks right past a mirror to display that! That was a nice touch. It was a pretty cool detail. But seriously, how the FUCK is she supposed to explain that shit? There's no way no one hasn't noticed that in the seven months she's been back. Like that's not even a weird personality quirk from her running away. Your daughter disappeared for five fucking months and now she has no reflection. Do you think her parents or friends would believe the train story just based on that evidence alone?
Benjamin Nguyen
Next you are going to point out the humans have to foots and that it is proof it is bad?
Lincoln Walker
God what a lame rushed ending. I really want to like it but they copped out of no many things like a cool antagonist, Atticus' death or even an interesting finish. When One-One regained control he should have turned evil or at least become more machine like. Imagine if One-One with his creepy synced up voice placed Amelia off the train for disrupting order, basically leaving her for dead.
Mason Smith
Pretty much every episode has the full set of 6 writers (Owen/Madeline/Cole/Lindsay/Alex/Justin) credited under "story by": I noticed that Cole wasn't credited under story for The Unfinished Car, and it's possible that something nonstandard pops up with the final two episodes, but yeah, mostly consistent
Owen Wood
How about starting with her walking through the snow without any way for the audience to know she's running away or why.
Having she mention Osh Kosh and how it's 300 miles away would give it a mystery; why is this young girl on foot trying to get somewhere so far away?
Brandon Nguyen
So did anyone screenshots of the other passengers?
Dylan Jenkins
>>Infinity Trains sucked How so? How?
David Powell
>bitch and moan Black Tulip is a good thing, I want more brown girls
Landon Martin
I would have been happier if Amelia was kicked into the deadzone but noooo. Also One One being the conductor just feels shitty no matter what.
John Young
Having rewatched all of the previous episodes before, it worked very well.
Isaac Hernandez
Really? A second season? Why? Story is done.
Eli Ross
She looks like how people drawn human Peridot, but with red hair and a ponytail
>This series had a heavy focus on making most characters women No, because the theme of the story is dealing with loss. Of course it will make a sympathetic villain.
>he villain being a woman meant automatic sympathy backstory. Thor 3 disagree with you.
Elijah Smith
Oh, come on, she's just a vampire. She got initiated into a vampire coven, got bored and now she doesn't have a reflection and craves human blood. Big deal. It happens.
Angel Carter
This would have been so much better had the villain been a rogue AI created by Amelia. Then we could actually see at least one satisfying villain death.
Andrew Ross
How was it shitty?
Liam Wood
Probably someone brown and female 'cuz muh current year
I already watched Amphibia, and it's finale was good too. But this is obviously the end of Tulip's story, and Amphibia still has multiple seasons to go which is why I'm fine with the way it ended the way it did. Especially considering it's a mini-series.
Connor Bailey
So ugly. 13 might be interesting but knowing Owen it'd probably be some shitty dad story about fucking up with women or something. Or him being really fucking pathetic.
William Powell
The ...28356 guy, the 23 guy or the 141 gal
Ian Torres
I liked it.
I want her back.
8/10
Aiden Baker
Amelia was doing the right thing to be honest.
She was doing what is the future of mankind and entertainment at the moment, creating a virtual world to please herself, she just hadn't mastered the tech yet.
Wanna know why we don't see alien life roaming the stars? Because nobody with advanced tech will be doing that. We'll all be living out fantasies far, FAR more interesting than actually roaming space. The future is here, not out there and if you can't see that then I just feel sorry for you.
Jackson Hernandez
We got that with the pilot. The series proper benefited from having a real world frame, the infinity train was a place Tulip wandered into in the beginning and her journey felt complete when she left it at the end a more capable, determined person.
Parker Williams
What argument? You compared SU to batman and had to resort to linking to articles to defend SU in a thread about a different show. No one gives a fuck about a podcast we all watched SU and anyone who wasn't a dumb faggot like you thought it was shit. I bet you are mad as fuck right now given how you are still defending SU after years of posts on this board tearing it apart.
John Thomas
I enjoyed the ending desu
Hopefully, if there are future continuations to this series, it'll have better pacing. I could imagine the pacing issues just simply came from having short episodes and a short episode count. But here's hoping to another ride on the Infinity Train bros
I honestly hope they focus on one of the two characters with the longest numbers, I think it would be quite interesting too see those two pair up to get their numbers down however they're both older looking characters so the chances of CN using them as MCs is slim.
Jaxon Nelson
Not sure why, but I'd love a story about Mr. 13
Jason Nguyen
>Tulip deserved all the suffering she had on that train times ten. Literally no.
Jordan Clark
>It was definitely rushed Watching it all back to back, it actually wasn't.
Daniel Sullivan
141 a qt
Brayden Johnson
Could Tulip have fixed her parent's marriage?
Carter Butler
>the other passenger with a long enough number that it overflows is a white blond guy
Caleb Brown
>yes >but no You are boring, user.
Asher Rivera
Thanks.
Colton Reed
New story.
Bentley Sanchez
It's not a child's place to fix their parent's relationship, nor should they bother too. So no.
Lincoln Long
That's what made the pilot intriguing numbnuts. Without it we're jus groaning waiting for her to move past her shit so she can escape.
Austin Jenkins
Maybe if she stunk less of onions.
Grayson Martinez
We're far enough away from anything habitable that anything that could make it here probably wouldn't bother unless they could convert themselves into sound and light
Noah Reed
Rushed is just a buzzword
Daniel Clark
Yeah, I get that it helps the message of the show for it to be someone who contrasts Tulip's development. I just really liked the conductor better when I thought it was a robotic entity that was so removed from humanity that it couldn't even directly communicate. Just my personal gripes.
Hunter Young
Fuck that, what are these people's names?
Brandon Thompson
I'm glad cartoons that aren't comedies are being made and can be made in formats like short mini-series...but they aren't all going to be gems, I guess.
Liam Walker
This, it's a quick way of masking the real issues they have, you know, with the MC being a girl.
Dylan Kelly
Over the Garden Wall did it better (and that was still feh)/10
Jaxon Jackson
>the train's central...mother...board
Gavin Bailey
>Mediterranean Republic Car Is Atticus racist against Roma?
Austin Gray
and it's ironically also the sole problem a lot of people who liked the show and aren't trashing it had
Dominic Gutierrez
>girl With that voice? It's obviously a trap.
Julian Allen
Basically. I was also hoping that the Conductor and Steward were One-One's abusive parents.
Adrian Watson
Well let's see. Anyone old is out. They'd pick someone with triple digits, probably someone over 200, to escalate the intrapersonal drama. So that leaves 746, 341, 271. And I'm just going to drop 271 from that list. He's got "side character" written all over his desperate earings. 341 might be a bit too old. I'd say 746 if it was any of them.
Jacob Bennett
Next one should be a pair. Like a small number with a big number. ...53891 with 10 seems like it would be fun
Also I guess Emily will be helping people to bring her number down
Aiden Perry
Are all the passengers humans? Kinda boring.
Levi Perry
Well we got three years of being intrigued! Having the story proper with a beginning middle and end is good. Not my fault you had your blinders on just waiting for the escape, you should've been enjoying every car as it happened.
Jonathan Clark
>>misplaced forgettable humor false >>bland characters false >>a pile of undercooked mysteries with bad payoffs false >>fractured rushed storytelling false
You get it all wrong.
Henry Martin
>the reason you gave for not liking this show isn't real >it's actually something that allows me to dismiss you without argument Lazy.
Logan Green
There's no point in just contradicting someone. You're wasting everyone's time.
And it doesn't explain the lack of stuff in space in general when it HAS to be teeming with all kinds of life due to 200 some billion galaxies we know of.
But living out personal fantasies in our own utopias does. Hell, odds are we aren't even real due to the math on modern simulation theory saying it's unlikely we aren't part of an advanced civilization program.
Ian Murphy
Most of the arguments have been that women need to be kept out of animation because women scare Yea Forums
Saying it's rushed needs more expansion before you have something people can grapple with. Otherwise it's just another way of saying "I don't like it". If you want to say where it's rushed, or what needed more time to digest in the story, that would help us understand what you mean.
Bentley Russell
>I dunno, her story ended with her getting off the hook for such a bullshit action What Bullshit action? She did everything right. >and she doesn't give a shit about Amelia after she gets home. You don't even know that.
Cameron Nguyen
Quote some.
William Adams
They know what they did.
Brandon Jackson
IT's not a twist, it's a red hearing, not the same thing.
Landon Hernandez
People have been doing that in past episodes' threads.
The way it introducing character flaws for Tulip minutes before solving them is one way. This happened in the turtle and flashback episodes.
Sebastian Mitchell
>the train is good >soul roaches if you leave Were those put there by One-One, or Amelia?
Ethan Harris
Probably married and Therapy Train is making to much money off them to really help
Ayden Ramirez
not gonna lie, they look like school shooters
Samuel Lopez
It's oing to be like OKKO where retard are going to pretend a good show is bad.
Jeremiah Ortiz
Fit Tulip's character.
Alexander Lopez
Why would Amelia care if anyone else leaves the train?
Liam Moore
>Some stupid fucking train thinks it can judge Amelia or understand her pain
Fuck you, time to kill One One and make a car that makes you happy. The real world won't do that, it doesn't care about you.
DEATH TO ONE ONE
Hunter Flores
But all of those flaws circled around the central theme and her main internal conflict. They were all extensions of her main problem.
Blake Reyes
Why would One-One kill people?
Juan Kelly
Everybody win. >Infinity Train was one of shows Yea Forums gossiped about and look what happened: It was WEAK. It was good.
Jaxon Jenkins
Her character of explaining what is going on in the story? Yeah, I suppose it does.
Jordan Anderson
>A five ep miniseries vs. a show with at least two seasons
Losing was your destiny
Jackson Lee
Hold up anons, I'm confused. The purpose of the train all this time... was to help people get over their problems? Did time actually passes by when they're there?
Parker Edwards
Imagine an actual Wheatley style betrayal >"Now that I'm the conductor again I can easily reopen you portal for you Miss Tulip" >"On second thought, you don't reallyu deserve it." >"You hopped all the way to the front with an illegally shuttle craft and fired off an illegally made improvised canon stolen from this very train." >"Regardless of your reasons, you can understand that as the conductor I can't leave these transgressions unpunished." >"But because we're friends I won't kick you off the train." >"I'll just send you to a random car somewhere down the train... and I'll add an few hundred to your rank just to keep things fair." >"As for you Miss Amelia, I'm sorry to say that your place on this train has been relinquished in light of recent events. The Stewards will escort you off the train monetarily." >The Steward gets up and just flings Amelia off the side of the train and grabs Tulip to send her down the train >"Goodbye Miss Tulip, good luck with getting your exit."
I think it should be noted that Season 2 could start at any point in time, not just right after Tulip escapes. It could be almost any of these passengers and they could have any number too.
Aaron Powell
They were not put there; they have always been. They are the natural fauna of the otherworld instinctual seeking out the souls which they lack. Whoever made the train also made a tool to turn these beasts into train denizens. The "cannon" did not turn Aticus into roach; it merely removed the Aticus personality that it programmed in and reverted him to his natural form.
Isaiah Davis
I see you don't know about the news then.
Jack Kelly
So I guess the answer is "neither"?
Carter Wilson
I bet it'll be 23. he looks protagonist-y
Joseph Robinson
Unironically a better ending
Jose Morgan
Time probably did not pass. I wonder, will Amelia show up old when she goes back, or will she revert to as young as she left.
Dylan Lee
Since moving from car to car has nothing to do with a person's number...what if a person just finds a comfortable car to chill in?
Not in the real world apparently, but on the train several months went by according to Amelia since that's how long she said Tulip was getting in her way.
Maybe the train inserts you back into the point in time at which you left.
Isaac Rogers
Amelia did that with the engine.
John Hill
Yeah, I thought about that, but the only legit lower-quality candidates are 23 and 10 and that seems a bit low. Having a major train-changing event happen right as you're reaching either your endgame or your all-is-lost moment seems awkward. Although I guess it puts 141 chick in the running. Or maybe one of the 4-digits is having a REALLY bad all-is-lost moment.
Nathaniel King
>you can't just bring in some random schmuck at the last minute and try to convince me she's sympathetic. It is revealed that all the people on board are dealing with loss. that's kind of an inevitable consequence of it.
>Them being able to just turn Dogmeat back with no consequences is super lame. The way the gun work make perfect sense and fit with the technology of the train.
>One One, obviously being fundamental to the train and having that importance treated like a twist is lam It wasn't treated like a twist.
>A story that pretends that it's smarter than you by keeping it's characters dumb and uninsightful always suck. Except it didn't do that.
>The fact that you dorks are sitting her talking about steven fucking universe rather than the lackluster finale is proof enough how unimpactful that ending was. The thread has been invaded by shitposter who don't even care about the show. mostly due to those user who stirred a show-war for not fucking reasons
>I won't say this show shit the bed, but it definitely farted a whole bunch,It was good from start to finish.
Bentley Clark
Glad you didn't write it.
Easton Rivera
>Anyone feeling upset over the IT finale No reason to, the final was good.
Anthony Peterson
7 months after Tulip left the train, it was Computer Camp again. I'm fairly sure that was trying to say that she had spent 5 real-life months on the train.
Julian Scott
He's the only one smiling, albeit awkwardly though.
The reason I would like it that it would keep Tulip on the train. She could become a veteran car hopper who knew the conductor personally and could run into the new characters or could provide them with a guide book she made. The betrayal would probably fuck her up and make it hard for her to lower her number and just becomes a cynical drifter on the train.
Adam Baker
Did they say gamer camp?
Charles Garcia
I mean, he is almost 0, that means he is close to reaching a comfortable mental state, right?
Benjamin Jenkins
Sounds like 13 year olds edgy manga
Henry Williams
Are humans the only ones with thumbs here.
Zachary Gomez
nobody said the next story had to happen at the end of this one, they could technically be happening at the same time
Benjamin Collins
>I wanted nothing more than a great adventure through a crazy train with a smart inquisitive protagonist solving the mystery of it all. you got that. >What I got was a half baked muh divorce don't run from your problems sesame street special. It's a show about dealing with loss, in this case framed with a divorce. It's a good thematic to explore, one doens't exclude the other.
>the finale was pure kino because of it. So was the final of IT
> I was really dissapointed by this and every time something I thought was fucking great happened Tulip and this stupid train ruined it 3 minutes later. Excpet not. Watch all the episode back to back. It all work out good.
Hunter James
What are the tapes for?
Ayden Nelson
There's too much shilling and not enough actual discussion in this thread.
Even this week of threads went down in flames.
Jaxson Lopez
Train monitors souls on Earth for abduction purposes and those tapes are the physical storage devices and people get up and about and steal them occasionally it would seem.
Ethan Sanders
Trapping passengers so the cat can eat them
Jose Jenkins
Maybe he just fired the wrong guy or something.
Ayden Gomez
Blame shitposters.
Logan Ortiz
I liked it.
Nathan Hughes
A metaphor to stop trying to sugar coat your memories and to see your past clearly.
Eli Gray
>It just had so many problems and was rushed hard. Watching all of the episode in a row, I actually don't think it was the case.
Lucas Parker
They didn't specify, but (a) why would they even end it like that if it wasn't supposed to be a "full-circle" moment and (b) even if it was randomly a completely different camp, it still means it's summer and even though there is some wiggle room in a school's summer off-period, 7 months after summer is not summer.
I thought she was just spending time with her dad?
Isaiah Ortiz
>There is a man who doesn't know himself. He knew it needed more episodes, so I'd say he had a good appraisal of what was needed.
Evan Parker
The creator of the show said time is the same as the real world.
Anthony Nguyen
I want more Amelia.
I want her to kill One One and take over the train again. So that she can be happy.
Jeremiah Harris
>But seriously, how the FUCK is she supposed to explain that shit? She avoid mirror.
Austin Peterson
I always hate it when people call a fundamentally flawed narrative "rushed." You know what they could have done with more time? Fuck up even more with their rambling narrative structure and weak toning. Like LoK. "Maybe if they were given more time they could have made it end like something other than a Scooby Doo cartoon" then they proceed to make 3 more seasons of Scooby Doo endings.
William Cox
It wasn't killed, though.
Jacob Perry
Disagreeing. good final battle and I liked all the numbers covering Amelia.
Chase Peterson
Based
Henry Harris
It's clear that there will a shadey government agency that's been assembling information about the Infinity Train abductions and will investigate Tulip thoroughly.
Thomas Bell
So, has no time passed at all when she was on that train? It says seven months later after she leaves the train, but I want to see what actually happened immediately after she got off. Was she really gone for a few months in the real world? How did her parents or anyone react when she came back? I assume they sent multiple search parties after her. And you can't just be gone for months and have everything be fine when you return. I can only assume it's a Narnia thing where she was only gone for a few moments in the real world.
Also how would anyone react to her not having a fucking reflection?
Xavier Butler
Oh, he was wrong in that regard too (see )
He didn't need more episodes he needed better episodes.
Isaac Nguyen
Okay, wish we could have seen that then. Her parents would probably ask a question or two.
Luis Thomas
Being transmutated into a completely different being with no conscious recollection of your past life is essentially death. Because that's what death is minus anything spiritual, your matter turns into something else.
So, yes, Atticus was killed.
Gavin Gray
I didn't say yes.
Aiden Anderson
Also the number change is pretty arbitrary. 10 looks like she's seen some shit. Just because your number is low doesn't mean it's not very hard to get over. And vice versa. 28356 might just have a lot of little problems but not a lot of drive to deal with any of them.
Adrian Cook
Of being over-analytical.
Tyler Thompson
Great taste
Season 2 will probably be about the infinity train malfunctioning and Tulip being summoned by Atticus to help repair it
Christopher Morgan
But it has been done already.
Jonathan Powell
>Tulip >coming back Don't count on it, at best we're gonna see the new MC meeting Mirror Tulip
Jordan Miller
where?
Chase Nelson
>the next protagonist is the person Tulip saw exit when she first arrived
Michael Diaz
>I always hate it when people call a fundamentally flawed narrative "rushed." Good thing this isn't the case for that show, then. the narrative is good.overal, IT is a good story that could be improved.
You are not making a point, there.
Adrian Turner
Well, you have to have an Avengers/Day of the Doctor style team up with all the previous protags at some point.
Jonathan Sanders
>with no conscious recollection of your past life is essentially death. We dontt know how it actually work.
Beside, it's not like it's a surprise come-back. From the go we are told it's possible to bring him back.
Chase Lopez
>So, has no time passed at all when she was on that train? It has, same amount of time.
>Was she really gone for a few months in the real world? Yes
>And you can't just be gone for months and have everything be fine when you return. But things can be put back on track after 7 months.
>Also how would anyone react to her not having a fucking reflection? I think she try to hide it.
Jaxon Scott
>Also how would anyone react to her not having a fucking reflection? There had to have been a lot of questions for her. She probably lost her best friend over it. I mean, she got real mad about her asking about her parents divorce. Imagine having to deal with the constant questions from everyone about where she was for five months and how she has no reflection anymore.
Ryan Mitchell
Portal 2.
Levi Thompson
everyone's gonna think she's a vampire.
Eli Turner
>I think she try to hide it. How? It's a reflection. She's never show up on camera too.
>rushed story >bad villain >poor utilization of the setting >lame ending >fun episodes with one or two standouts >likeable main character >interesting premise 5/10, at best. Enjoyable, but too flawed to be considered "good". Even i this was just a miniseries, it needed 12-15 episodes instead of 10.
