Star Butterfly is angry!

Her show is still decent, all things considered. Having a bad ending doesn't invalidate all the good the show she had. Plus she's literally the cutest cartoon in years and has cute feet. And that my children, is why Star is best girl.

Also, one more important thing why:

>HEY user I'M A NORMIE NOW!

Attached: Hey Anon I'm Normal Now.png (734x706, 579K)

Just let it go, man. It's been nearly four months.

the only reason star is angry is because she can't find any more people to genocide
she cannot fulfill her bloodlust

>Having a bad ending doesn't invalidate all the good the show she had.
Actually it does. A story is only as good as its conclusion.

OK, then all of game of thrones sucks because the ending sucked dick. Oh wait, no that's not how things work.

Attached: 1496293359451.jpg (960x960, 126K)

Yes, it does. All of GoT does suck and if you were to go back and rewatch it, it would feel hollow and stupid because you know it all builds up to nothing (or worse, something awful).
Why did you think people were so upset about the ending being crappy? By your logic, they should only treat it as one single bad episode, who cares, the rest are still good, right? Well, wrong.

By your logic, Any bad sequel to any series makes the series instantly garbage. Now all of Star Wars is shit, Back to the Future sucks, the Godfather sucks. Its retarded to pretend that the ending is so important that it now invalidates the rest of the good of the series. Trust me, the ending blows. But that doesn't make the show shit.

Attached: 1493753474271.jpg (315x359, 20K)

Yes, that is correct. Stuff like Star Wars for example does suck because the sequels invalidate the achievments of the OT. >Woooow you defeated the Emperor, destroyed the Death Star and toppled the Empire, hurray! Oh wait all that success lasted like 5 minutes, a new fascist dictatorship replaced the Empire and crushed the new Republic even harder, all your heroes are bitter, old and die alone. But great job regardless, you did it, it just didn't matter lol!
And it's not retarded at all. Though all that said, sequels have a little more leeway, especially when you know they were not originally planned, because it's easier to see individual films as just that, individual films. A series does not have that benefit, it's much harder to seperate an individual episode or even season from the greater whole. It's in the name - it's supposed to be a series of events.

I dislike the ending alot. That's for damn sure. But it depends on what you actually like this show for. Alot of the lorefags and influential people in this fandom spent years worth of hiatuses going over this material with a fine tooth comb and trying to find patterns we thought would resolve a certain way. We were all disappointed the way it was handled. But if you liked the show for it's humor and cute girls and didn't care much for LE DEEP LORE, then it really wasn't as disappointing as everyone makes it out to be.

This image implies the genocide didn't benefit her positively. All her problems were fixed and the only negative was being separated from Marco for like an hour.

Yes, things tend be more enjoyable if you go 'LALALA NOT LISTENING' during the bad parts. Let's not pretend the series didn't have plenty of elements intentionally making viewers care about "LE DEEP LORE" as a selling point.
This was LOST all over again. Make up a bunch of shit to keep interest, realize you don't know how to wrap it up and then cop out by saying it was really about the characters all along.

Pretty much this.

Also just by making Star follow Eclipsa's plan (or making it fail first so the "kill magic" one made any sense) the ending would have been excellent.

I enjoyed almost the whole series (except for the Kelly/Tom parts) so I find unfair the badmouthing it receives.

I really think that it's becoming more obvious that the senior member of her staff were carrying her throughout the first couple seasons. When those factors dipped, and she received less input from disney execs, she absolutely fucked the whole thing up. She's not George RR Martin. She really didn't have this show planned at all. I mean LITERALLY she didn't. She said as much. I don't think she expected to be given 4 seasons, and that's a shame because the last two have made the show have a tarnished legacy.

Though I'd really honestly like to say that I think people would be WAY less angry if Starco happened in early Season 4. I can guarantee you that it'd have softened the blow significantly.

REMINDER that Yea Forums was writing better material for the show than people, while struggling to piece together the concept of a plot and emotional impact, were getting paid an exorbitant amount of money for their failures.

Attached: 1553288973035[1].png (1728x906, 896K)

This is what happens when you leave hungry autists in the den too long for massively long hiatuses. it ends up disappointing. Because honestly, as much as this show is their life, we're the ones who consume it the most. I still love the show, and I still love Star, but yea. Nefcy ruined her own show.

Attached: sadnormie.png (128x97, 20K)

Well that makes a lot of sense, no wonder she abandoned Earth so early. She wasn't thinking ahead and skipped out on a bounty of opportunities and episodes to make. Starting to make more sense how we here on Yea Forums can come up with a lot more interesting plot threads for Earth than the show can.

>Having a bad ending doesn't invalidate all the good the show she had.
True, a bad ending doesn't invalidate all the good a show has... HOWEVER, when the conclusion completely retcons and forgoes everything that has been set up to that point while also eliminating the one element that made the show actually enjoyable, yes, YES it DOES invalidate all the good the show had.
Star vs. fans, it's time to face facts, that ending was straight ass, and everyone knows it.

I disagree. The ending was rushed because Nefcy and her crew is awful managing her tempos.

Star vs. Still has interesting ideas, originality and lovely characters, but failed when managing them all. One point does not invalidate the others.

Let it go

I think it's a shame that now that the show's over, everyone just focuses on/talks about the ending.

In my case it's because I think the show was bad long before that. Like it wasn't like I was loving it up until the final episode and then I just did a fucking 180. I was bitching and moaning about it, along with a bunch of other anons, all through S4 and most of S3.

I actually think the ending was the least bad thing they could have done, short of retconning like the last two seasons, considering the nearly 40 episodes that came before it, but literally no one seems to agree with me. The show was already so broken then that I found destroying magic satisfying, as it meant that all those losers I no longer give a fuck about will now live painfully ordinary lives until they die, which in the cleaved dimension has a good chance of happening sooner rather than later.

Normie Star just wants love! She's all normal and ready to be cuddled like the normie girl she is!

why does she fight the forces of evil?.

How delicious do you think Star's cute girl feet smell?

> I think people would be WAY less angry if Starco happened in early Season 4. I can guarantee you that it'd have softened the blow significantly.
Absolutely, but it seems their vision was to save it for the climax of the show, the last 4-5 eps were likely intended to be released together like Battle for Mewni was. We know multiple episodes are story boarded simultaneously; Marco's confession in the realm of magic was probably planned far in advance and it sets up for the barn scene. Still they could have made it work.
Booth buddies could have been done a little sooner in S3 to set up for breaking the Blood Moon effect by the end of S3 or start of S4.
Star and Marco would still be best friends which makes Tom want that kind of relationship, and Tomstar breakup happens sooner. (Kelco probably should never have happened).
Marco would be shown being awkward with Star, despite the curse being broken. With the blood moon on his mind, he might have said something like, "I'm so glad we broke that Blood Moon curse, you know? Now things can just be normal, and we can be just friends" Star could replay with a "yeaaahh totally.." Noticing a bit of sadness in her tone, he might say something like "And you know, if we ever do develop feelings for each other, at least we would know they are genuine, not due to some cur-" And her expression could be changing as he is saying this, as they both come to the same realization.
Although officially a couple, they still have difficulty expressing their feelings given how long they have bottled up their feelings for one another.
A lot of the same story happens. Portals suddenly stop working, but this time coincidentally could have happened after a spat between Star and Marco.
Marco tells star he loves her in the realm and it solidifies their relationship.
I know what they were going for, but I think giving Starco more time would have added more weight to the finale. (I've go more "fixes" if anyone is interested?)

>(I've go more "fixes" if anyone is interested?)

go fer it

Starco either should've happened mid sesaon 3 or killed off. Trying to stall it until late Season 4 really spoiled it and the characters of Star and Marco.

Would anyone even care if Sky came back?

>I'm a magical princess from another dimension.. Oh no.. wait.. I'm a normal piefolk peasant from the same dimension as you, MewnEarth.. Wait, where are you going! I'm still interesting! I committed a genocide, you can't call that boring!

Ludo and Buff frog should've been more important characters in episodes to make the Monster/Mewman conflict seem more real.

Oh, well I actually have a few things to do, I will come back to this... but real quick, easy fix for CLEAVED. This fix could have been done with no changes to dialog, no changes in animation other than a recolor in post.
The Fix:
CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE MAGIC WATER THAT MINA JUMPS INTO FROM GOLD, TO PURPLE!!!
This would have conveyed to anyone paying attention, that even if they got Globor and the other glow wounded monsters to the healing wells, it would not have worked. Viewers should have gotten the signal that unless the realm of magic were destroyed, there would be little hope for helping those afflicted by the solarian swords magic cuts.
Idealy, even more could have been done to suggest that destroying magic was the only option... and not even to defeat MIna, there were other ways to beat her. The point would be that it didn't matter if they killed Mina or whatever, they had friends to save, but also that magic it self was too dangerous and could easily fall into the wrong hands. More could have been done to convey this, instead of the viewer feeling like they destroyed magic for no reason.

Mewmans being just humans is the purest proof of hack writing.

this is epic

How about two bad seasons?

Nefcy failed us

>...

Attached: prettylittlewings.png (786x426, 140K)

That would have worked well. I guess it was what they were already kinda going for, what with the people who were wounded being far from the well even if they had chosen to fight Mina or something, but it wasn't clearly presented as the only option to save their lives in the episode.

I like that this idea actually is built on the concept of destroying magic instead of just coming up with some different solution. I really do think destroying magic gave the ending more stakes than just "epic magic battle" or "Solaria's ghost solves everything" (???) would have (though there probably should have been more of a final fight with Star and Mina anyway, like before it got to that point).
