Bridgette >quirky >determined >annoying, but adorable loli >classic, relatable attire >bold, openly displays his interest in Felix and doesn't feel shame nor indecision >brutally honest, merry, lively and a natural born optimistic, despite the odds she faces the world's trial with a light heart and a smile on her face Virginette >creepy >stubborn >insufferable personality barely conceived by her "writer's pet" status >nobody except cringy cosplayers dress like that >unhealthy obsession over Adrien, still can't overcome her fears of rejection. ends up being a stalker >self righteous, paranoid, egotistic and a natural born pessimist, kudos to the miyagi reject for giving magic powers to a girl who just helped him walking across the road
Felix. >sarcastic >witty >extremely intelligent and with refined tastes >likes the peace and quiet >doesn't hang out with other plebeians, he knows he's better than them and doesn't need them >absolutely no problem in being a rich model bonus point >far more powerful than his counterpart, can create black holes and shoot beams of black energy Adrien >childish >complexated >dumb as a box of manure >attention whore >hangs out with a work dodging sandnigger, a cocky sheboon and a nevrotic half chink, despite having the attentions of a beautiful and powerful girl >"muh family" "muh cold distant father" bonus point >full time punching bag, his main task is to gain time; master of cucks, gets beaten to protect a girl whom doesn't love him
Looks ugly, I guess like a child and their toy people just really want what they can't have.
Bentley Wood
Fuck this show. Watch something better, you horny losers.
Nolan Lopez
I absolutely loved the anime miraculous, I remember I was so hyped when I saw it in 2014, the idea was fresh and creative, the background art was breathtaking, the plot had so much potential And then Disney turned it cg and that beautiful handmade atmosphere was fucking gone I know the cg miraculous isn’t that bad but fuck you I wanted it 2D
Benjamin Moore
that PV was great, instead we got that shitty cartoon, man it could have been great
Christian Lee
Neat, but this would just be another generic "pretty girl" anime. The only reason what makes the CG Ladybug different is the....well...the CG,
Sebastian Carter
I think it would be a little different from other magical girl series since the people behind Kyousougiga were probably would have handled this
>pv which is basically a much longer opening where 80% of the shit wouldnt have actually been in the show >toei animation so it would have looked like garbage. got it
Jaxon Walker
Every single one of these shows was better AND hotter that Ladybug.
>muh aloof shoujo asshole love interest lol fuck right off
Isaac Wilson
Their hair and scarf like ribbons/tails are so much better in 2D. But the 3D show is still ok but I can't deny that the 2D demo had a better style to it.
Robert Baker
I definitely like the pv version better than the CGI version, especially the style. I'm sure Felix would have been treated a lot better than Adrian too. Wasn't there concept art that showed Felix had control over bad luck, with an example showing an apple dropping on Bridgette's head while his hand is on the tree trunk?
>concept art that showed Felix had control over bad luck I admit that I never ended up watching the show. But they dropped that aspect? Does Marinette even have luck powers then? The bad luck powers was obviously meant as a counterpart to that. Two polarities.
I probably would if there was an official episode order. But the way just about every network had its own episode order just fired off my autism like mad.
If anything it is more than she has the power of creation and he has the power of destruction
Lincoln Lewis
Marinette, no. Ladybug has her "Lucky Charm", but that's about it. Same for Adrien/Chat Noir and his Cataclysm. Basically, the powers are only available when they transform, otherwise the Kwamis have and can use it.
Nolan Mitchell
why doesn't Ladybug just use her Lucky Charm power the second she confronts a villain ? Why does she use it at the last moment ?
Nathan Campbell
What a shame. They should have kept the cartoon 2D and kept the more serious tone.
Jaxson Hill
Nice
Thomas Young
I... Huh. Good point.
Christian Edwards
because otherwise there will be no cartoon, duh. her powers are broken and chat noir has to deliver until he has taken a beating and ladybug has grown bored of watching.
Liam Powell
it's a thing that always bothered me. asstruck creates two superheroes based on animals related to the european folklore regarding bad and good luck. then he chooses to do the creation/destruction thing for no purpose. why did he do that?
Sebastian Garcia
>Original anime PV is better than Miraculous Ladybug ofc it is after all frenchcucks made the other one
Cooper Nguyen
God I remember being hyped as fuck for this when it first came out. I was always hyped, even when it ended up 3D, because I thought that the things that happened in the PV would be happening in the show. Watched it as soon as I could in French. After sticking with it for a season, I realized they just sucked out everything good about the anime PV and turned it into what it is today. What a boring, meh, soulless cartoon. It's still depressing to think about.
But, then again, if the creator is okay with how it turned, then the anime would have probably never been good in the first place.
Parker Bell
I could understand why Bridgette might think Felix and Chat Noir are different people with those designs but the reverse should be the most obvious thing ever
Bentley Thomas
So as with Marinette and Adrien, except Marinette is too Adriensexual to connect the dots and Adrien is just plain dumb.
Robert Green
Because one pair is easy to write and the other is like writing smart people.
Because the moment she or anyone else with a Miraculous (sans Hawkmoth) uses their specials, they start the countdown to their transformations turn off. It makes sense you hold on your best card until you have a chance to use it decisively.
>Bridgette I don't understand why the anime PV Marinette needs a different name. She was always called Marinette. Only the surnames were different. Marinette Dupain-Cheng vs Marinette Cheng. Judged from PV and the very little additional information we have, both Marinettes are basicly the same character. Plucky, optimistic, friendly and acts like a lovestruck puppy whenever their crush is nearby.
Liam James
Ladybug was supposed to have good luck powers (ie the akuma tripping over something at just rhe right moment) but the sponsors didn't like the concept thinking it was too cheap and people would have a hard time understanding it. So they instead they had her create a random object that by good fortune just happens to be what would come in handy for that moment.
Plus creation and destruction probably makes more sense for the ultimate power to rewrite reality which is Hawkmoth's entire motivation in wanting them.
Juan Butler
I liked the 2d style, but honestly, the 3d is better
Ryder Green
Cause it doesn't always work and she needs to figure out where their akuma is and what their abilities are first.
Sometimes she does make a lucky charm right away but it either doesn't work, or there still has to be a 10 minute fight anyway.
Owen Rodriguez
>both Marinettes are basicly the same character.
Are you blind ? She's much more optimistic and affirmative in the trailer, she even openly confessed to with her crush She's a completely different person from virginette
Aaron Nguyen
The relationship between the two main characters is slightly different, but that's mostly because the male main character (felix/adrien) had to be changed. The love square required Felix to openly reject Marinette but he was too much of a grumpy asshole. He got changed into the pretty boy Adrien who is overal much friendlier. Instead of rejecting he's just too dense to notice Marinette's obvious crush while Marinette becomes a bumbling idiot when trying to confess.
Differences between the two female MC's is there but nowhere nearly as drastic as between the male MC's. That's why I think it's strange that the anime PV Marinette has a different name. Even in the artbooks she's still called Marinette while Felix has become the canon name for the anime PV character.
Bentley Jones
>That's why I think it's strange that the anime PV Marinette has a different name. That's only a fan-creation they made to differentiate her from the Marinette they did get. It was never canon.
Sebastian Campbell
Are you even replying to the right post ? Because I don't know what you're arguing about
Luke Martin
What I'm trying to say is that the marinette in the anime preview and the final marinette are slightly different but overal the same while felix and adrien are just two completely different characters. Felix also started as the fanon name but became the canon name for the anime PV character, but I don't see why anime PV marinette also needs a different name because she mostly the same as the final marinette. Especially when her name has always been marinette from the start.
Noah Cruz
No they're not, they're completely different as previously explained
Alexander Price
Never saw Ladybug, guessing it sucks because french cartoons are weird, but HOLY SHIT the fox bitch is my eternal waifu.
There's only very litle information about the anime preview to compare with the show. The anime PV is more like a concept or an unfinished version of what we have now. But despite that, there are still similarities. You can see Marinette enjoying the scenery of Paris, drinking some tea at a terrace, shopping with friends (alya?) etc. The only really major difference is her relationship with her love interest. In the anime PV, Marinette confeses her love or tires to ask Felix out but he rejects her. In the show, Adrien is no longer a jerk and instead Marinette is too shy to confess because the show needs to keep this love conflict alive.
The concept is still the same: optimistic outgoing girl with an unrequited love.
People who don't watch anime wouldn't watch it. People who watch anime would rather watch anime.
Lucas Nelson
Got bored of making Peni threads, huh?
Ayden Parker
please post more of these
Charles Myers
You can always look for these on the ladybug wiki. Here's one with a few villains. Maybe Mime and Mr Pigeon were supposed to be returning villains instead of having akuma as villains of the week? Papillon/Hawk Moth looks more like a crime boss early concept versions. I wonder if he was also supposed to be Felix/Adrien's father back then.
In the PV you can see him talking to Mime. Crime boss Hawk Moth controlling everything behind the scenes sounds like it would have been an interesting villain.
What was the supposed explanation for the horror that is pic. 4?
Robert Reyes
Canadian tvguide added some desriptions
Startrain: Max's mom gets akumatized into Startrain. Now at the controls of a flying train, she wants to realize her dream of becoming an astronaut.
Desperada: Jagged Stones guitarist Vivica gets akumatized into Desperada. Armed with her evil guitar, she wants to punish Jagged Stone for firing her.
Ladybug: Lila manipulates all Marinette's close ones, who turn against her, but an even bigger problem awaits Marinette: she is going to have to face a sentimonster that has taken the appearance of Ladybug.
Reflekdoll: Juleka becomes Reflekta again. But this time, the supervillain is not alone, and Marinette and Adrien are having trouble with their Miraculous.
Tomas Astruc's Instagram has some storyboards. instagram.com/the_real_thomas_astruc/ The storyboards look more like a bunch of random scenes thrown together rather than trying to tell a consistent story. Probably nothing more than a concept. Mime is robbing a bank using imaginary weapons. And looks like Marinette managed to get on a date with Felix. He doesn't look that amused though.
>smell Stalker/yandere but its about right so ok >body double? Latex >cuckquean Ok >masturbation Cum-on-face >boytoys Ok >role reversal Costume kink >bondage Ok >older woman Ahegao >older man Bodyless head sucking on
You got 4/9 sempai
Julian Ramirez
Something about fairy spit? Anyway its not a good enough excuse but they did it anyway.
Andrew Roberts
>Bodyless head sucking on I had no ides this was even a thing. Could've never guessed it.
Carson Thomas
>marinette hair actually changing color
Adrian Martinez
>mime using invisible granade Damn thats just so good that its a sin it was left out Astruc should quit doing animation and go for comics instead. Less jewfilter to get in the way.
i wish there were guns in the show too, they give a touch of real action and suspense, instead of cartoonishly oversized swords or fucking toys used as weapons.
Jayden Richardson
>tfw Astruc got two self-insert character >Himself and Tom >Yes, Tom is also his self-insert >He actually told long ago how Marinette was basically the "lovechild" he made when he was still with one of his old girlfriend, who was chinese >tfw you'll never get a show about you and your ex gf lovechild
>tfw your life dream is inserting yourself in a shoddy cartoon further deprived by the producers of what good is left in the script, just to show the world that you are a sorry neckbeard with a daughterfu fetish
Wtf Alya was supposed to be the show's version of Ned Leeds and act as Ladybug's "chair guy"?? This is just thousands of times better than the shit status quo they have given us. What the actual fuck astruc?
>beta-mime More like alpha-mime the dude is a fucking badass
Ian Davis
I'm also not a fan how the show handles it's side characters and starts handling out miraculous like lollipops. I wonder if it really was astruc's decision as sponsers can also have a lot of influence. They need to make money somehow and only two superheroes don't make enough toys to sell.
>fanfic >flop dude nobody cares, everyone knows fanfics are made by amateurs. and that's where's the charm, you can do whatever you want, you don't have to appease a crowd or get even with your budget, and you write because you like to write, not because you need someone's appreciation. that being said, appreciation is always good but that should not be your focus. start to write it if you are so eager, and remember, what makes people frown on fanfics are not ridiculous premises but the actual writing. if you write good, if the story is exciting, then people will like it. so go on, write my little scribe, let's see what you're worth
Juan James
I dont really mind Rena Rouge, I just think Alya knowing LB's secret identity would make things way more interesting, both for the plot and Alya's character herself.
James Williams
Alya knowing it and others don't doesn't make sense.
Chase Sullivan
Why not?
Christopher Mitchell
The thing that bothers me most about the show is that Adrien hardly get's to do anything as Cat, he really is just there to constantly get saved by Ladybug. If he actually matured and become a cool superhero I think the show would work better since that way Ladybug is less of a marie sue.
Isaiah Brooks
Because mind controlling is a common thing in the setting. If Alya is allowed to know it why Adrien isn't?
Caleb Murphy
I like Adrien now. He is the cool chill guy everyone can be friends with. Felix sounds too douche-y.
Jaxson Garcia
But thats the thing with chairguys.Characters like Ned Leeds or Pieface werent really supposed to know the superhero's identities, but they happen to know somehow due to chance. If Alya happened to walk in Marinette transforming or some shit there is a great chance she would be willing to keep the secret and help LB out in the sidelines.
Cooper Davis
2d is always better
Joshua Long
Chat Noir is half the time kidnapped, brainwashed or something similiar. Everytime he's gone, she still somehow managed to save the day. I like it how ladybug says she can't do anything without chat noir while the two would be in real trouble once ladybug is gone. Without her, nobody will be able to catch and purify those butterflies. All chat noir can do is destroy things.
Jack Gray
I came up with the most disappointing and stupidest idea for the upcoming episodes: "Felix" and "Chat Blanc". Ladybug will fight Chat Blanc, thinking it's akumatized Chat Noir, but it turns out it's just Felix who got akumatized and Chat Noir was just locked up again or something.
Nice. French writing/10. Leave info se we can contact you.
Christian Reed
Take a look at "Heroes' day". She can use her lucky charm in any moment, but if something ruins the chance, it'll not work. The lucky charm gives the user the most useful path to win in that moment, but just if there isn't other unexpected things or the user doesn't have creativity.
Hudson Gonzalez
> Everyone buying Lila's shit talk Well, Marinette is an even worse liar and they fall on her lame excuses, so no surprise there.
Leo Morgan
Except if you don't know what your opponent abilities are then you might get hard countered or blocked before you have a chance to use it. The episode Party Crasher is a good example of this. Ladybug did what you suggested and used her lucky charm at the beginning of the fight before she understood the akuma's powers. She instantly got captured making her power useless until she was freed.
Cornering herself with a countdown before she understands the situation is just asking for trouble.
Christopher Nelson
>gymnastics marinette
muh dick
Colton Long
It was drawn by the people who did Pretty Cure. Fucking Pretty Cure. The fight and action scenes would've been legendary since that's what it's known for.
Asher Watson
Those of you who say the potential of the show is wasted or the writing and development of the characters are bad- especially Marinette being mary sue- can go to hell. Miraculous is the most popular girls' show for children and preteens in Europe and the Middle East. It is more successful than you whiners will ever be, all of you who do nothing but criticize. You fuckers are grown ass men in your 20s and 30s, you think you know what makes a good show? Fuck you! Stick to your shitty Avatar and CN/Disney Channel mass produced garbage like Ben 10, OKKO, Steven Jewniverse, Gumball, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls and Regular Show. Fuck off. Fuck! Off
Toei animation also did sailor moon crystal and dragon ball super and those turned out shit. All the top talent goes to precure while the projects just get the b-team.
Ayden Adams
109244422 fuck you with your pasta you fat bearded blob
You know what HUGE improvement would have been if 2D?
NO MORE CONVENIENT GHOST CITIES!!!
even if poorly animated, we would have been able to see population and consequences.
I notice that A LOT of action magical girl shows kinda use that trick tough with all the action and chaos happens in a vacuum with barely making an impact into the world and society.
They should have revealed the identities at the end of the first season. Or at least one of them.
Hunter Jones
Miraculous speculation for the epsisodes felix and chat blanc. donut steal™ or I'll sue you astruc. Felix shows up at school, everyone thinks it's Adrien who suddenly got a bad attitude. Everything goes fine and dandy untill the real Adrien shows up and Felix is caught impersonating. Felix goes angry, goes akuma, somehow Marinette's friends also go akuma. Ladybug saves the day and Felix falls in love with her.
Next episode Felix grows jelous of Chat Noir for getting close with Ladybug and akumatizes into Chat Blanc. Chat Blanc acts as a twisted version of Char Noir/Adrien as a last fuck you to people who keep asking about felix and the anime pv. Ladybug has to fight Chat Blanc but is too distraught that Chat Noir got akumatized untill the real Chat Noir shows up. Felix/Chat Noir is defeated and will never show up again untill the writers start running out of ideas and recycling the old villains again.
Why is the main character named after a voodoo demon?
Isaac Sanchez
>The name Marinette means "The one who rises" and/or "brings up" (Hebrew) and "the good of people".
Brayden Gutierrez
I remember it being touted as the highest budgeted 2D animated series in at least the western sphere. I think they where also going to collaborate with Toei.
Then the CGI was announced and they promised there'd still be 2D ONA and that was the last of it.
I was super excited for this. When I found out Mime got reduced to a VoTW I gave up on the whole thing.
Caleb Butler
>modern TOEI >anything but a giant QUALITY fest
Aaron Morris
>he doesn't like Yoshihiko Umakoshi's designs. What a cuck.
>astruc trying to make Félix as unlikable as possible
Matthew Parker
What logic is that when the pv is literally animated by an anime studio (similar to how most western action cartoons used to be)?
Nolan Allen
Holy shit, I hope you're wrong. Adrien desperately needs the character development/conflict that comes with being akumatization.
Wyatt Barnes
The show is going to treat Chat Blanc as a joke, mark my words.
Brandon Green
>expecting sailor moon in Paris, with interesting characters and storyline, iconic powers, awesome battles, teen humor/romance, and beautiful painted landscapes with boulevards, parks, bistrots and monuments >getting a poor excuse for a 1st grade children cartoon, with boring/ inconsistent characters, stagnating plot, weak motifs and goofy villains, with the main focus being advertising for the merchandise, and bright, desert, oversaturated, boring sets rendered in cheap CGI The pain never ends
