Thinking about it, Dexter probably only had another year or two to put up with DeeDee's shit. She would have hit mid teens and went boycrazy, leaving her with no time to pester her brother. And then she'd start finding porn and weird lewd devices in the lab as Dexter himself starts puberty and that would put an end to that completely.
