While it is clear there has been a real effort on the part of the post-Bendis writers to rehabilitate the character, efforts that I absolutely appreciate, if they were to introduce a white male love interest for her and editorial mandated that they couldn't break up or make him evil, that would generate a lot of good will with myself as it would indicate that they want to put their deliberate alienation of the traditional audience behind them. And it's not that I think black characters can have black love interests but they need to overcorrect for tis particular character given her origin.
