That's a big part of it, but aside from not looking like the character, she's also not believable as the character: you can instantly tell that's she's the fat ugly cow that evolved comedy as a social tool out of sheer necessity. Betty is cute, witty, confident and has a sharp tongue she's comfortable in using from a lot of practice. You can instantly tell that she was always a popular and gregarious girl.

Why is that surprising? Porn is going to aim for the hottest chick they can get on the cheap. And since (most) fiction still has hot main female chars....

Hollywood always tries to get a A-lister because they have little faith in the adaptation.

The A-lister looks like the A-lister so Hollywood would do all the mental gymnastics on why they were right. Sometimes the source material will even get change to look like the A-lister. Sort of a lose-lose situation. In some way porn has the advantage hiring solely on looks.

I hate that shit the most. First you hate the choice they went with for the film, and then you get the "bonus" of seeing whichever dickhead you though was wrong for the role affecting how the character looks and acts in comics and/or cartoons.

Are you? Porn gets women that look close enough to the part to at least get their tits out. And finding someone to put a wig on and the dress before getting fucked isn't exactly a major feat.
