The politically charged episodes left a bad impression on me. They werent malicious or mean-spirited but they were also really cowardly and immature.
Like how in the "minorities need representation" episode no legitimate challenges were introduced or addressed; All kappas were good ever, the generalizations about them were based on absolute lies, the CEO was the only person against it and he wasnt even really racist as he immediately changed his mind when sales coincidentally skyrocketed because of the inclusion (because of course they did), no one reacted negatively to the inclusion everyone just loved it. Its fucking stupid and teaches kids nothing.

I won't forgive them for peddling pro-furry propaganda towards children. Gun control or whatever, I couldn't give a shit. But furries are dangerous freaks, there is no reason on this earth you would ever need to walk around in public wearing a cartoon animal costume that wasn't one tied to sexual deviance. Children should not be encouraged to condone or interact with an adult displaying this behaviour.

The backgrounds are lower detail in season 3, the noise texture appears to be an attempt at compensating for this.

They kinda do. They're turned into animal people, and have to wear people costumes for the whole episode, and learn to accept it.

I'm guessing it has to be a budget thing in this case, rather than laziness.Get a few screenshots of backgrounds from season 3 and a few screenshots of backgrounds from season 1 and compare. They're of a much lower standard and seem to be using the noise to compensate in the loss of detail and depth.

I've yet to see any of these "cumbrain" posters refute the fact that many successful and intelligent people masturbate to porn, and many people who abstain from it are still extremely stupid. It's almost as if these are just two very common traits are likely to coincide but aren't related to each other at all. Because no matter how much Yea Forums shills this show, and no matter how good an episode is, the artstyle makes me want to fucking puke.

because OK KO is a bad show.

It's a show with a rather great concept however it's completely squandered by its execution.

From a narrative standpoint the show suffers from a multitude of problems. Most notably the hamfisted approach to story telling where morals are unironically and blatantly forced. Many episodes appear to follow a PSA format but lack the sarcasm necessary to construed as a parody. Many characters are one dimensional in their portrayal and character development is often thrown to the wayside to prop up another character because they happen to be the writer's favorite. Cross over episodes seem less as celebratory love letters to shows long gone and instead come off as blatant fanservice at best and disingenuous at worst.

On the technical side of things the show can be described with one word, inconsistent. Overuse of exageration removes the impact of multiple visual gags. Characters designs constantly fluctuate causing causing the animation to be confusing and a visual mess. Timing tends to be wonky and character movement lose a lot of weight and dynamic effect as a result.

There's a reason OK KO gets unmitigated hate, unfortunately it is deserved. rather than build itself up and move passed its faults the show instead double downs and revels in its issues for the sake of "artistic integrity" because In the minds of the show runners a "show that's bad one purpose is ironically a good show" despite the fact it isn't.
