"Great, another lame suburban white kid who likes rap."

"Yeah well, you like the blues."

"Yes but the blues are un-popular."

A lot of people hate this episode, I don't mind it personally although it is pretty cheesy and dated.

Sneed

I thought Lisa liked Jazz, Jazz snobs hate Blues

I doubt anybody disliked the rap part of the episode, the hate is all towards Lisa. She actually intended to ruin everyones lives because they lied in the episode and she always proclaims that she is right. Fuck Lisa in this ep

yeah yeah the 2000s backpack rapper fad. no need to give user PTSD attacks of his 8th grade self.

You ameridumbs just don't get it

You dissing me cuz?

formerly popular

When has Sneedsons ever done research

>taking TV Tropes seriously

Not when they're planting Gummi Bears

White people can't rap for shit. Each race has strengths and weaknesses, like niggers and chicken and heart pressure.

I'd argue more than whites can't play jazz for shit.

Completely irrelevant but that line in happy where the black courier says “I’m gonna be the black bill evans” is hands down one of the funniest lines in all Yea Forums related media. Even if all we basically have is Kenny Burrell and bill evans that’s enough for me

Jazz is for black people what cream cheese sushi is for the japanese

Chet Baker exist so your argument is invalid.

I have a collection of jazz vinyls, they're very polarizing because my black friends run away from them like the plague but my non-black (mostly Japanese adults) friends adore them.

I never liked him much anyway.

Frank Sinatra counts as jazz so shut the fuck up.

SInatra is classic pop, not jazz, nimrod. Jazz is defined as improv play over a fixed chord structure.

Oh yeah well....
that's fair
I also think he's over rated, not bad mind you, just too trite. The only album I enjoy by him is with Tommy Dorsey, he sings frenesi and you might have belonged to another, but it's hard to find.

Unlike his rival Miles Davis, he wasn't a trained musician and he exhausted his bag of tricks a lot quicker.

The episode where Bart becomes Poochie.
Just kidding
Bart was always Poochie
Just kidding
Poochie is a definitive Mary-Sue, Bart was only Poochie until Lisa became Poochie, it's just that left-leaning "woke" SJW shit is the new "cool stuff" instead of rap, surfing, and backwards caps

>Unlike his rival Miles Davis

According to Herbie Hancock and John Coltrane he's not only the best at what he does but he's also the coolest guy to work with.

> he exhausted his bag of tricks a lot quicker

That's easy with all the hardcore drugs, constantly getting locked up and getting his face smashed in to where his embouchure is totally ruined.

The writers can never seem to make up their minds with that.

Best part of that episode.

Belive or not, a lot of 50's to 70's genres from Brazil and Central America that are almost dead now are still strong and popular in Japan

To be fair, you have to have an extremely high IQ to appreciate Lisa Simpson.

I love Samba and Bossa Nova, but didn't see much interest when I was there, just American styles.
It makes sense however considering, most of the Japanese that aren't in Japan are concentrated in Brazil, and the heavy cultural exchange. Even the Japanese soldier who kept fighting 25 years after WW2 ended went to Brazil after being so disappointed by what became of Japan as he knew it.

Wrong on both counts.

A good portion of Sinatra's career was built on covering jazz standards.

And the jazz definition you are using is but one facet of jazz music. Lots of jazz music does not follow the definition you're using because jazz music is multifaceted.

Jazz is for the Japanese.

They even had jazz lounges in the little town where I stayed, I don't see any of that here, and I'm near New Orleans.

>White people can't rap for shit
I don't know, eminem at his peak was pretty good.

There's a bunch in DC
But only in the heart of the city
It's probably like that in NO too

>another lame suburban white kid
Um isn't that kind of racist?

He was great technically, too bad his songwriting was shit.

What about them white latinos?

Okay nAgger, you keep telling yourself that.
