Tom King’s run on Batman will go down in history as one of the worst runs of the character. No character acts like they should, nothing is explained, and it’s extremely pretentious. Like when Thomas Wayne Batman tries to bring “Martha” back from the dead. Which Martha? The Joker from the Flashpoint reality, or the Martha from Earth Prime, who isn’t even his version of her? Does Tom King even read other books? He hypes up Gotham Girl, who’s the most boring character ever created for the Batman mythos, at least her brother got killed off. He’s a fine writer, but only with limited series, except Heroes in Crisis, that was absolutely inexcusably awful.
