I love the dopamine hit you get when your drawing coming together nicely. And then day later you realise you fucked up proportions and you have to redraw lower body completely. Not to mention you have to draw same pose from 2 different angles.
Evan Lewis
>Thread topic: why didn't YOU make a new thread? Why did I make it? It's best to let someone else make it who is more familiar with the thread culture.
learning to get over that is really hard but super worth it once you realize you can abandon a failed drawing or one at the wrong angle, and do a revision that's just as good but now works for the scene
Juan Johnson
I just found this somehow through image search, has anyone heard of it before? Is it useful?
ill make a second strawpoll soon to decide. Probably between wacky races, voicing and fashion again. I did say we were gonna have 2-3 strawpolls.
Nicholas Kelly
voicing -8 votes fashion - 7 votes races -8 votes
maybe only between races and voicing though, ill think about it.
Cameron Rivera
How do I gain this magic of chemical positive reinforcement from being productive?
Easton Perez
As long as you don't include voicing
Dominic Murphy
Glad this isn't dead even gladder this isn't dead. looking good!
Xavier Ward
we have the rest of our lives, why not do all of them, one per month, now that we've confirmed interest in these if the others were similarly high in votes, we could do those last
I'd like to give some advice on worldbuilding, if I may.
If you ever find yourself conflicted on whether or not to include an element in your setting because you feel it's out of place or doesn't fit the tone, all you need to do is form some kind of connective tissue. Just ask yourself where this element fits within the greater cosmology of your setting, and what the ultimate purpose of its inclusion is. If it doesn't fit, simply change it so that it does, and have it be something more in line with the overall genre and tone.
Felt compelled to say that due to a recent revelation I had.
Matthew Stewart
>Start drawing daily back in April >start feeling discomfort a couple days ago >mfw carpal tunnel syndrome
Fuck me for trying new things, right?
So do i work through the pain or take a break? I really dont want to take a break. Internet said to sleep with a wrist brace. I have one, but is that enough?
>THE FINAL PROLOGUE >next time: The First Epilogue
Jeremiah Mitchell
lol what can i say
Aiden Reed
I do a data entry job to, so i type all day, between that and chronic masturbation, im surprised it hasnt happened sooner. I think its just cosmically convenient that it would hit as soon as i start drawing.
Benjamin Ortiz
Thanks, anons.
haha, guachin, this critic is too biased and I got way more praise than I deserve. I'm always at the razor edge line between making things simple but without insulting the reader's wits, though i feel some don't understand because they expect one shots or maybe it's the way I narrate things, which is experimental even for me. There's some training involved here for both parts, reader and author. KJ, the masked kid, has a reason to eat like he did, ofc. That and the other question left unanswered there: the name of the doll kid were left out because I felt they weren't the focus of this one story...besides those answers themselves are interesting enough to deserve their own stories. Delivering is the key here, I rather have a dirty and simple doodle than a detailed drawing that i can't deliver on time. I learnt that lesson...plus I surprise myself every now and then. Spook n Spell is my way of saying to the overachingplot fags: hey, stick around, I might have something for you as well.
There will be more ches and, perhaps, some mate, mein schwarz. Thanks for the support and cute drawing, going straight to my collection.
>So do i work through the pain The hell? Also in future browse with your mouse in your left hand, and keep your wrist out of contact with (the edge of) your desk when drawing. I'll try to find those exercise videos I was shown again
Christopher Taylor
does browsing with a tablet help
Isaiah Martin
fuck, dude. That's not fair. I've never heard of someone actually recovering from carpal tunnel, but I suppose if it happens, they probably just don't talk about it anymore. sleeping with a wrist brace sounds smart, since those suckers can move around a lot in bed, but just in general you need to take time off from your job and start getting the maximum amount of sleep, or healing can't happen. For any body part, but especially hands. Mine used to ache just from the bus and bike rides of my commute alone.
Jack Watson
i think it will go away if i take care of it. it only started a few days ago, so it should be early enough to stop it from becoming chronic. it just doesnt help that my job requires me to type 8 hours a day, so im constantly aggravating it.
Luis Jones
Can you ask for medical leave or something?
James Scott
mite b worth looking into workman's comp. definitely type with a brace.
Jose Hill
ill consider it. i dont have a lot of time to spare. dont know about workmans comp, but i did type with the brace today. it slows me down, but its doable.
Nathaniel Foster
Are you allowed to get a different keyboard?
John Martinez
yeah actually i can. its a gov job so they bend over backwards to do accommodations. it will just cost me a doctors visit.
Robert Perry
I have no idea. I guess it makes sense-the most strain is going to be on the hand holding the pad. On the off chance it sounds like I know what I'm doing I don't- if I watched the videos I'd have them bookmarked
Guy outdoors practiced his because he had wrist problems. GMB Fitness has people in the comments talking about how his style fixed theirs, though both methods are supposed to be preventative
Aye, thanks mate, just trying to work on character designs now. Here's the homeroom teacher, she's a banshee. I wanna work on the principle next, gonna make him a tengu.
oh and you can always start using a lot of speech to text to cut down on typing. I did that when my wrist was sprained
Colton Russell
Boomping with my current work in progress.
Ill vote for voicing despite my ESL voice only being fitting for some characters. Fashion is okay too. Wacky races is not something I can do with my current comic honestly.
Eh, not very excited about that idea. But lets see what happens. I might do something more original.
What can I say, I honestly did my best. Its difficult to criticize something you love, or at least I get blinded to possible failures. Ill keep trying to shit on you my dude. Like, kindly.
>Its difficult to criticize something you love not really, I'd say it's the opposite. It's easier because you notice the small details that nobody else would and are more receptive to the changes within the comic. I think you just lack the knowledge to critique it.
I'm afraid the scale's pretty off in this room. Some people have giant windows like that, but that door is tiny compared to the height of the person, and the handle's really low. It looks like you used a 3d model for the room, but if you wanted to redraw it, all you'd have to do is erase the lines at the bottom of the door/walls, and draw a new, lower floor.
>Carpal tunnel syndrome is no joke. Pain, numbness and tingling sensations are only the warning signs. Serious cases involve losing grip strength and dexterity in your fingers. In the most severe cases there's muscle wasting and loss of sensation.
The pain you feel now is just the beginning if you don't take it serious. Which country are you from? You said you have a gov job so it should be pretty easy to get a more ergonomic setup but it varies depending on your country
For example in the US, UK and Canada if you have doctor diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome your workplace is obligated to make reasonable accommodations such as an ergonomic keyboardrequired/wrist support. It's cheaper than them dealing with a workers comp dispute. They can't just fire you for it either thanks to the the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the US, the Equality Act in the UK, etc.
Take care of it right away. It's more serious than you think based on the "so do I work through the pain?"
Nolan Rivera
>if it doesn't work just change it bro oh shit that's crazy you can do that
Isaac Gutierrez
ill get with a doc next week. imma try the brace and exercises first as well as lay off the drawing for a bit. thats more disappointing than anything.
Do you ever blur your backgrounds to create a focus?
Ryder Wright
Only if someone's meant to be really tiny and this is a closeup
Ryan Torres
>you have a fetish
lmao
Sebastian Kelly
Maybe it is for the best Sora didn't talk to her about this... Although if anyone's going to have an extremity fixation it's going to be the one that used to be a tadpole.
Jonathan Lee
Does anyone have any advice on writing humor? I want my comic to be a comedy/adventure but I find it hard to write funny dialogue.
Adam Johnson
An UPDATE for All the Admiral pizza fans! I made filers! Also, i landed an interview with a pizza magazine. They asked me what artists inspired admiral pizza. id say Probably Dav Pilkey and rob lefeid.
Just look at a situation and then get it wrong. All humor is based on surprise. If someone started saying "I was walking my.." you would immediately think dog. Then if you got a little creative, might imagine other animals, but none of those are funny just because they're different but if he ends that sentence "..beef" you're going to laugh. and if someone calls attention to how that makes no sense, meat isn't something you take for walks, you might think the joke has been ruined. you don't need that guy pointing out it would drag on the ground. but the guy with the leash says "but it's GROUND beef"
Prayers to the artist I am working with. He is going in for surgery on the 19th.
We're going to shift to him doing inks in the meantime so that the colorist I love and have worked with a lot can get cracking on that as the pages come out.
Which means I have one more page of lines to look forward to, and then it is inks. Not that I am complaining because inks are where his art really shines.
Didn't ask. I tend not to poke into the social lives of the people I work with. If they want to be free with words, then I let them, but if they don't then that's fine too.
Full color books are expensive to print- And im printing them in Anchorage Alaska. I actually talked to my agent-He said its possible to have the company mail the books literally hot off the press right to the backers. The Number is based off a high estimate-if i can get funded we can lower costs-Also i already have 2 books completed and am working on the 3rd.
Hunter Cook
god damn it you are good
Henry Wright
videogames. gets the urges building back up.
Levi Flores
aww is she an actual scottish banshee, does she say cute things and refer to the kids as her wee bairns?
Asher Lopez
scottish people don't actually say things like that
Christopher Davis
She does have an accent, but it only becomes heavy when she's angry. Think the Scotsman from Samurai Jack, but Irish.
David Taylor
is he fuck
Tyler Evans
And the final page--perhaps. The 100th page. 49 weeks of work finished. Now, a Hiatus until Halloween.
they did in the past, and the past is always better than the present and it's a goddamn banshee that works. Also yeah, Irish, that is where those mostly are. I knew that. But there's crossover.
Parker Rivera
those hand lines are amazing
Brayden Perez
So I'm 16 pages into a script and I want it to be this punkish action comic but as far as establishing setting and motivations, this shit has been sad and dark so far. I dunno how to lighten up the mood, I end up writing overly serious shit when I'm trying to be rock&roll.
It helps if the characters react to it in a way that isnt too depressed. If we see they're okay with it, we won't get so bummed out. Even just a wry smile at the situation
Christopher Sanchez
I have a character's personality down, but I can't refine the character's reaction to something. Meaning, I'm uncertain how the character would act in certain situations. Is there a decent way to work on this?
Elijah Wright
you could brute force it by thinking of every possible reaction and seeing which one makes the most sense otherwise you just have to be an actor for a moment
Jordan Diaz
I have to draw every possible reaction?
Angel Richardson
no, think. inside your head.
Chase Miller
I can use google docs to write out my script digitally right? I wanna post it here.
Brandon Brown
yeah that's how it works
Charles Hall
So i'm drawing perspective on paper and the vertical lines are slightly bent and i can't draw vanishing point because it is way outside the paper i'm drawing on. How can i line up those lines?
Luis Harris
grab another sheet of paper
Asher White
more like pissspective am I right?
Isaac Hughes
Bombasticity. Can we see the script? I'd love to take a try at ghostwriting
The earliest warning sign is a tingling/numbness in the palm and every finger but the pinky (index, middle and ring fingers.) After that it's pain and that's still considered an early warning sign but if you're working through the pain imo you're dumb.
Going beyond that you get into losing grip strength and finger dexterity. Depending on the serverity you'd be discussing surgery with your doctor
Logan Nelson
how am I supposed to get better when I'm not drawing?
Jonathan Parker
i have pain in my wrist, but i never had numbness or tingling. is that good? maybe its just sprain. ive been mildly panicking since last night. doesnt help that co-worker saw my brace and told me she had to get surgery. im seeing a doctor monday. meanwhile im going to stretch it, brace it and pray.
Evan Bailey
pretty sure I just fell asleep on my hands
Chase Powell
You can do artistic things that don't require your wrist. Take up photography to help with your composition and framing; you can finger paint to practice color theory, values and shading. You can do like Vilppu and gesture draw with a rag
You don't need a wrist to be an artist but it helps
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a repetitive strain injury. There's a progression from slightly annoying all the way up to cripplingly debilitating. If you've only got a little pain or a burning sensation then odds are taking a break and some anti-inflammatories (like ibuprofen) you'll be fine.
Make sure you tell your doctor that you have a job that requires you to type a lot and a hobby that requires a lot of wrist movement.
Carson Lee
I want to make a capeshit webcomic what will be a good format? Daily strips? Weekly pages? A bunch of pages each month?
i wish i could take ibuprofen. i cant take any insets due to my gastric sleeve. fuck my body is falling to pieces.
Jacob Howard
Well shit that sucks but don't worry too much about your wrist. As long as you're responsible about it and take regular breaks you won't even feel a twinge wrist pain again.
The most common mistake imo people make is working 2-3 hours until it hurts and then taking an hour break. If you instead took a 15 minute break every hour then your wrist will never hurt again
Oliver Phillips
There's no really good way, since these kinds of comics are only enjoyable when read back to back in decently-large chunks, and they take ages to make. You might as well go with a bunch of pages each month. Just try to make each bunch self-contained enough that you aren't completely lost At least you didn't do the full bypass like some idiots I know. it's NSAIDS btw. There are other antiinflammatories. some hippies swear by turmeric.
Carter Price
>NSAIDS i have never read that word. only heard it spoken. shit i feel dumb. thats like saying "social piranha" or 'doggy dog world'
Ethan Stewart
A traditional style superhero comic seems like it would be tricky to work as a webcomic because how the story is told. If you upload a page per week a simple fight could last a month.
Go grab your favorite comic book and read it one page per week to see what I mean. You'll have to change something to make it work
Gabriel Taylor
I said 'doggy dog world' for the first at least 14 years of my life. and a ton of the mistaken phrases on Rugrats went right over my head, especially when they sounded better than the real ones. You're off the hook in my book.
Just promise if you take one by accident and you're dying, your last words are mama nsaid there'd be days like this
Easton King
ANOTHER PAGE OF my comic.
Is the first dialogue an actual english language expression that fits there? I kinda feel it is but im unsure if it fits with the idea of being anxious and wanting to kill someone.
I did correct your use of 'coddling' when you first posted this, but I guess you were busy. also tier* and tongue*
Nathaniel Watson
>If you upload a page per week a simple fight could last a month. Very true. Anyone here read Grrl Power? It's only had one super fight so far and I only read it after it was finished but you could tell it was going on for months in real time
Xavier Price
based and /h/pilled
Henry Collins
youve made the transition to digital very well. it looks great.
Carson Martinez
but... i've never posted this page, ever...
William Young
maybe t'was in the 'scord.
Brandon Powell
I've posted it on the discord, but no one's commented on it yet.
Kevin Perry
I want to say Azu is cute, but she is just scary.
Parker Cox
days ago. or maybe you only posted the dialogue, asking if it was too cringey
Julian Allen
sneak peek of the end of KAW's collective comic Dick la Brapa!
Thats cool though, if the first thing readers noticed about her was her cuteness I would have failed at her characterization I think.
Thank you man. I still remember I have to destroy your comic.
Lincoln Harris
I am aware of those drawbacks and I was aiming to do it like a sunday strip, think of The Phantom or Mandrake the Magician or other action comic strip from a long time ago. The comic will require tons of compression but that´s already something I don't have a problem with and kind of dig it since I really enjoy vintage comics in general. My concern now is that I may end up stretching a story arc far too much
Maybe it's just because I'm above the intended age group, but... have webcomics kind of gone past their "prime?"
Seems to me that you couldn't throw a stone online without hitting a webcomic of some sort. Maybe it's because there were so many Penny Arcade wannabes.
But yeah, are webcomics even a fraction as popular today as they were perhaps 10-15 years ago?
Levi Robinson
it's more like the internet is both bigger and smaller now, and search engines peaked a long time ago in terms of being able to find shit, now they find whatever someone has paid to promote
Leo Brown
... okay that's actually some pretty legit cool imagery.
Elijah Mitchell
Absolutely. I honestly think its a terrible idea to make webcomics if you want to be really famous. Webcomics are kind of like novels now, a billion of them online by amateur creators.
Matthew Bailey
I grew up reading megatokyo and mac hall, they were both once super popular, hard to find a single person around today that has read them. truth be told the webcomic market has always been a pretty dense mass of countless artists' first projects, those that live long enough to gain a following either gain a core fanbase that last them decades (literally at this point) or burn up within a few years.
the main difference i would put forth is the internet has, in the interim, become way more integral to the lives of the wider world, and the 'nerdy' webcomic crowd of old are now a much smaller audience with a much smaller share at the internet pop culture table
Caleb Diaz
It's a terrible way to make comics, but I got no other option to practice.
Tyler Brown
Hurm. Well that certainly would explain why quality content is so easily missed nowadays.
It's like the internet is now just a huge collection of echo chambers that aren't even connected. Even outside of politics.
So are webcomics just... not something that people are interested in like they used to be? Or are people just as interested in new stories now? It's almost like the movie industry, where nobody notices new talent/material.
I personally can't even NAME any currently running webcomics outside of the ones introduced in the 90s/00s.
Hunter Perez
So outside of becoming a famous animator on CN or something, what IS the best way to get your work exposed and seen by larger groups online?
Mason Diaz
Is there a correlation between cucks and certain genres of webcomics?
do something memey and put it on imgur so it gets famous
Landon Torres
Fucking cute.
Hunter Russell
The environment is just different than what it was back in the 90s. In some ways it's easier than ever to get started and share your work. But there are a lot of things that have changed like how nowadays you have more consolidated platforms dedicated to webcomics like LINE or Tapas. Also you see more highly polished art these days since art students caught on that making webcomics is another way to market themselves while at the same time the more successful webcomics, at least from a visibility and monetary standpoint, tend to be simpler in style. That style of webcomics is more successful right now because virtually all of the major platforms where you see content shared are designed to have things compete for your attention. Anything that takes too long to process with get lost in the noise.
That said, you can still find niches of independent creators doing interesting and different things making a living with a small fanbase. Crowdfunding made it more possible to consider making webcomics for a living but it's a precarious situation since you're at the mercy of big platforms that may not see or respect you.
Actually webcomics can be a way to get a foot in the door to another industry. The issue with that is people may simply be making webcomics as a stepping stone rather than as an end goal, but you can hardly fault people for prioritizing making the rent over any artistic dreams.
Colton Lee
>Actually webcomics can be a way to get a foot in the door to another industry. Please don't believe this
Welp there goes my plan of using my comic to get into my dream job of photographing nude models for tasteful coffee table books.
Henry Rodriguez
it's happened.. but they've gotta be big most of the time the comic is more of a combination of a portfolio and a proof of concept / proof of interest. for a lot of people too it's just a way to practice and get good at creating.
Anthony Brown
not that guy. but i can think of examples, but... they just so happen to be from accredited artists with years worth of commissions and contracts under their belts
Carter Cox
>for a lot of people too it's just a way to practice and get good at creating. Are there people like that in these threads? All I see are people posting finished pages and WIP to get free praise.
Ryder Rivera
yeah I think the operative word in the post was CAN. you CAN make a million dollars on the stock market. but it fucking helps if you're already rich, so you can invest in a bunch of low-risk low-return sure-bets. webcomics CAN be a way to get you your very own cartoon. But if you don't live in california, it's gonna be hard to make the connections you need. and something is going to come along to make you hate your choices.
Tyler Perez
Are you death gripping the pencil or something?
Jackson Cruz
Remember to create because you love the craft, not to become famous.
Recognition and success comes from hard work, so start working hard and love what you do!
Joseph Johnson
>Recognition and success comes from hard work since when?
Angel Evans
>Actually webcomics can be a way to get a foot in the door to another industry. Brainlets, when will they learn. All the hacks who want to use comics or games as stepping stone to enter holywood/netflix or any other shit will never accomplish anything. They have to act like brown nose yes-man always walking on the eggshells, being as non-offensive as possible and thinking collectively. Always go indi, you are your own boss.
Aaron Sullivan
yeah it's more like recognition and success take ages, so you might as well have something to occupy you during that.
Charles Foster
the people on the recruiting/greenlighting end of things aren't like that. that comes later.
Angel Taylor
"overnight success" is literally a term that exists
Aaron Ross
yeah but that's just a success line that starts low, stays low, and suddenly goes upward steeply
Grayson Gutierrez
How does one avoid a bloated setting? How much is too much?
William Hernandez
You can try developing the plot instead of worldbuilding for no reason
Nolan Baker
>world building for no reason >no reason If the world isn't interesting, the audience will not give a shit if the heroes succeed in saving it. Additionally, plot tends to hinge on the rules and trappings of the setting. Don't be retarded.
Nathaniel King
I think you misunderstood what I meant
Liam Turner
>If the world isn't interesting, the audience will not give a shit if the heroes succeed in saving it. It's the opposite, friend. Lots of successful stories have very simplistic world building, think of basically any Disney movie for example. Stakes and motivation are what get readers interested, world building should be the icing on the cake, and no one wants a cake overloaded with icing without any actual cake. Your readers get interested in the world because they're interested in the story itself, not vice versa. Do enough worldbuilding to make the situations of the story make sense, and to add some additional detail and flavor if you like, but no one but you is going to care about the minutiae of the history and lore when you're a no-name creator, focus on figuring out the actual plot instead.
Benjamin Powell
The plot is merely the events themselves. The events don't matter without the context of the world and characters. Again, don't be retarded.
General rule of thumb every time you want to ad world building elements ask yourself. Is this plot relevant in this chapter? Will it ever be brought up again? Just do bare minimum for the start, so we know where we are, character motivations, stakes and where the plot will be moving. Also i think the biggest mistake people do is add bunch of useless characters because they think more is better. It's really hard to juggle so many character interaction and give everyone moment to shine.
Lincoln Jackson
Fuck, that 59 years earlier joke caught me off guard.
No. Creators just like the warm and tingly feeling virtue-signaling to these groups gives them. Comics are disproportionately read by straight white men (which is fine).
Colton Foster
T-tatsumaki?
Dylan Ramirez
The way this artist draws Bern is heavily inspired by Tatsumaki. It's intentional.
Cooper Foster
Agh I'm moving soon and I won't have a scanner, this might be one of the last Ringo pages I make for a while.
is webtoon or tapas better to start my webcomic out on? i really don't like tapas' UI but i don't really like webtoon in general. i want to move my comic to our own domain as soon as possible, but which is better for starting out?
Jonathan Mitchell
Please don't use either of those. Use a real host.
Josiah Anderson
Either of those are fine, just start and don't worry about it
Aaron Peterson
tapas lets you use pngs and have images be as wide as 940p where webtoons only lets you use jpegs as wide as 800p
Landon Mitchell
I heard tapas requires you to register to see 18+ art. So it fucking sucks a priori.
Hunter Scott
Is there a big archive of people complaining about wasted potential anywhere? I find a good story told badly really motivating
You can use a Google account ... Probably not an improvement
it's a buddy cop story about how by not standing up against corruption, you're letting it grow.
I'm trying to figure out how can my main characters pick the first trail that'll lead the to the bad guy. so, basically, I don't know how to start Act 2.
I already went ahead and write Act 3, so I know where I'm heading (if that's any help), which is to a crooked police officer who works for a drug lord, but he's trying to make his own business under his boss's noses.
any tips?
Hunter Cox
maybe they talk to some idiosyncratic character who was a witness
Luke Flores
so I need some help. which version looks better between these two? the top or the bottom.
these are pages 8 and 9 of chapter 2, its a center spread. the top one is "correct" because the horizon lines are aligned, but the scale of everything in page is different so the window doesn't line up. the bottom one is stretched so that the edges line up, giving the view an interesting effect as well as communicating the building a bit more sensibly, but the horizon lines are off
maybe the crooked police officer creates leads to use the protagonists to dismantle the drug lord's empire
Matthew Thompson
it's hard to tell the difference, I think bottom is slightly better
Jordan Rogers
no, he has to be corrupt to teach a lesson to the MC, since she noticed early signs that he was involved in some shady shit, but decided to do nothing out of fear.
and now he's too powerful to be stop.
William Rivera
draw a flow chart of character connections, i got no idea who serves what role in your story or how many characters you got
Apart from writing all the story's facts down, even the obvious ones, you get a weak link in a conspiracy when you involve another person. What goes into making a drug empire?
Making a stop to talk to a shady character/knowing the location of a dead-drop if he's a beat cop, directing a pallet of non-locally seized cocaine to a local lab for spurious reasons if he's an office one. MC Is invited to a dinner at their house 4 raisins, finds something(manifest?Meth lab?) or a hoodlum figures right now is the best time to bother the boss with something
KS backers can now become an official member of the ADMIRAL PIZZA CLUB! With your card, Secret hand gesture, and passphrase "Carpe diem Pizza mia" you're allowed access to a hidden backroom with free pizza, popcorn, and Galaga on free play. (Works at most Pizza places and some sandwich shops)
God. Writing is torture. At this point I just wanna make thumbnails. Maintaining what the characters are thinking and feeling at the moment while withholding a small mistery and not forcing exposition is pain. actually pretty decent advice I would have to translate the entire thing in english besides I want an editor, not a ghost writer
Alexander Anderson
she looks waifu-material
Connor Richardson
>him now don't start that again
Jose Lopez
>besides I want an editor, not a ghost writer Wasn't sure what the punch-up-dialogue guy was called. And you'd only need to translate it back actually- conversation started assuming that the dialogue is bad so it's fine to get it into English with google translate
Big Cat, one of the main stays in the comic series, he is wearing a cat suit, not an actual creature, but the inspiration for the character could certainly be compared to one ha
The moral of the story is if you want fanart from me, make a character with a lot of black in her design so I don't have to pay attention to lines crossing each other and shit, it's all getting filled in.
you're a little bit crazy. I think you're going to be a little bit successful but I'm a little bit of a pussy and I don't do risks. or trying
Nicholas Jackson
Is this a Jojo reference? I feel like you could get in trouble for jokingly referring to being a patron as working for you. It's supposed to be more like you work for them.
Camden Perry
>109253011 This logo is too similar to DC's
Jayden Green
nah man, i just wanted to draw some gay shit, i dont see what this has to do with jojo.
Landon Long
neither do I, but 6 times out of 10 I see weird shit like that, that's what it turns out to be.
Isaiah Murphy
I don't have a webcomic, but did this for a page of mine.
No man we're working for EACHOTHER- Its different then a pyramid scheme because its like a PIZZA and Pizzas go full circle !!
Kevin Brooks
I like you, admiral pizza guy. I really do.
Elijah Miller
>why didn't YOU make a new thread? Why did I make it? Two of life's mysteries.
The end of Book I starts here! >Ibrahim Coyle is just your regular con-man and a self-proclaimed PI, secret agent or whatever the client needs, as long as there's some cash on him.
Is it true that your art reflects your personality, or is that just bullshit?
Colton Nelson
I think it's more like art reflects your influences and interests. Those, in turn, are going to have something to do with your personality, causative or not. The only way I've ever directly observed art reflecting anything about a person is when they depict these severely fucked-up worlds that make it clear they... they have seen some shit. And not just some author's imaginary grit, but the real grit of the murkier parts of real life. and they're comfortable enough in it to write about it.
Hi, I'm back! I'm done with translating all of my artistic achievements to Polish (aside from WoR but who cares). Anyway I present to you my first pages done fully in digital. Please check the English, Please!
I expected some more activity because of the contest stuff, but so far nothing related to it has been posted yet.
Jace Wood
because everybody is voting for voice, but no one actually wants to do it.
Ayden Brooks
Not yet, I'm gonna get 90% of the comic done and then post the chapters weekly, get some consistency there. Final comic should be around 100-120 pages, currently on page 69.
Lookin good, nice and clean. Just gotta get you a tablet / get used to said tablet so you can make nice swoopy curved lines and varying line widths.
pajamas* (or pyjamas in some countries) either I'll* send someone or I sent* someone depending on future or past tense. stample is an amazing word, but sadly not a real one. You meant stamp, probably. Unless these people have invented the stapler. question mark after what can I do? at the* castle entrance no capitals on thank you you seem to be in a* hurry when you're on leave, no a (weird phrase but that's just how it is)
Cameron Ramirez
you have to wait for the decision to be made and officially announced before you can expect anyone to be participating. that's why contest guy was jumping the gun before we'd come to a decision
Caleb Fisher
this. Next thread will start. Although Ill probably put both winning events, since a few said they dont wanna voice.
Juan Flores
not everyone has to participate in every event, I feel it's best to do one at a time, but I've also been bossing you around a lot this whole time so I'm not going to whine about your choice.
Elijah Turner
Thank you!
Sebastian Johnson
Space Pack doodle from last night!
I really like this guy! Simple yet cool!
I think the others are right. I'd agree that art reflects your interests and influences. I would say, perhaps, that the stories you write, and the way you write them may reflect your personality to some degree.
I like the voicing idea, I'm pretty worried about how my voice sounds recorded though so I'm not sure if I'll end up doing it....
I've had some small parts in a couple web cartoons.. other than that, just a bunch of used car ads, luxury home tours, uhh couple lawfirm ads you can find on youtube if you know where to look..
Hunter Martinez
Niiice.
Jason Phillips
You sound NOTHING like what you look like. You'd think this was voiced by some clean cut mid 20s guy in a dress shirt. P good tho
Oliver Roberts
It's a rule of radio that everyone sounds the opposite of how they look. I met a local radio DJ when I was a kid, dude sounded like Business McMan, looked like Jess Harnell. and actually, same for Jess Harnell. see also: homestarrunner.com/sbemail120.html
Carter James
I have a stupid issue:
In my project there’s this character who, for some reason I can’t quite remember, I named Skiddie Nix (real name is Skid Nixon). Since English is not my first language, I’m afraid some issues might arise:
I know Skid is not a real name (right?), but does it sound too weird? The setting is not realistic, so that shouldn’t matter, but she is to be the most grounded of the characters, so maybe a more regular name is better.
Also, does the word “skid” make people think first of underwear skid marks? I would hate that.
Some quick background: she comes from a slightly campier version of your usual cyberpunk dystopia, she fights by sliding on platforms she creates (hence the name).
It sounds a bit weird, like something you'd expect from youtube.com/watch?v=oymWAeqv_-c My first thought is 'Skid Row' but also the name as a whole sounds like Stevie Nicks
if it's a cyberpunk setting though, then it's a perfect name. but wait, she's named after her power? So then it's fine if it's a weird name, because it's not what her parents named her.
Brody Foster
First of all, thanks for the help.
For clarification: Skid Nixon is supposed to be the real, legal, father-given name, while Skiddie Nix is supposed to be a cute nickname that stuck. If that sounds too stupid, I might as well scrap the whole thing. But the idea originally came from the idea of naming her something that rapidly gave away what she could do to the reader.
But given that I am having so many doubts about this, I think I might just go with anything else. A shame, because I actually liked this weird faux-American name.
Isaac Gonzalez
oh I get it. I think you can get away with it, really. you do want memorable names so people can keep track of characters. nobody in the audience is going to be like 'what a stupid name, this author is clearly foreign and terrible at thinking up names'. You gotta go way stupider before you're in danger of that.
>My MC is a hero who has self-confidence issues as his goal is to be the best hero there is in order to be like the best hero in-universe, who he considers perfect >MFW watching Mao Mao and realizing what I have planned for my MC is identical to mao mao the character
What do? Should I keep on going anyway with my original plan? Mind you my MC's personnality is different than Mao mao, but still
I don’t know much, but I think you should go as you intended. It still is your original idea and given that your MC character seems to be fundamentally different it should be enough to give your story a different enough perspective from a similar work.
But this is just my opinion, you should consult with someone else.
Mason Gonzalez
skulked around in the woods today carving ringo panels into the rocks. I had a good time.
lots. Most people it seems just have a pair of tits here and there. momentai, Mao Mao is already apparently a puss in boots ripoff. It's a good enough concept to do more than once.
Aiden Morris
>I don't need a scanner at all anymore!
Joshua Ortiz
I can finally become the anprim comic hermit I was born to be
Tyler Ramirez
if you look long enough, most everything has already been done, its the execution and presentation that matters, i say don't worry about it
im honestly surpised tha hadnt been done before. i think there may be a market for cave paintings uploaded as webcomics. especially if people want to go out and find them irl. >someone scales a mountain and fights off death for 3 days >finds Loss at the summit.
Zachary Watson
fuck that's a good idea dude, like geocaching
hmmm
Jackson Sanchez
I m gonna dump my crypto webcomic so far. I know it s not the best quality of work and it needs improvements. I m gonna try to stick to it.
Mine will have full penetration, but I want there to be a story too ya know
Zachary Morris
I'll support you
Easton Gonzalez
Yeah. It's going to be really gay
Mason Walker
Boooo
Joseph Bailey
You are going to share what it is right?
Joseph Perez
Shush.
Maybe. I'll think about it when I have more done. I've been working on some character design stuff and I've got the first chapter mostly written and thumbnailed, so maybe I'll actually share it when I've got some pages finished.
Adrian Parker
Worldbuilding is exhausting for any reader, but I'll need a map for my world, eventually. So here's a very sleepy first go.
First of the whole relevant world (which is about half the globe). Three continents.
i love this kind of shit, i'm intentionally not getting into the autism lore of my comic because it detracts from the point, but it's always nice to see others'.
Austin Green
If you have the money (believe me, wont be cheap), you can hire a cartographer from the Cartographer Guild to make a cool map for you.
Pic absolutely unrelated, I just wanted to share the map I myself made of my novel´s world. I kinda remember a cartographer telling me it made zero sense even when I so-obviously based it in our world.
Anyways, the guys in there are really helpful and will give you more than one hand for cash. Big cash.
The temptation to puke concentrated lore all over the place right NOW EVERY DAY is strong. It's tricky to predict what is intriguing and what is boring to someone who doesn't live inside my head.
That is an intriguing idea. I may do that far in the future. For now, it would be easy to go on an ego trip to try and justify a map as elaborate as I envision.
By the way, as an American, I'm actually shocked to see you use what I think is made up words and such for place names. Spanish, in all its dialects, is such a great language by which to name places of all kinds. Unless I'm completely missing the spanish influence here beyond Isle de la Luna
Charles Adams
I had originally thought you were asking if I actually had anything to share, but after re-reading it I'm guessing you're asking what the plot is.
It's going to be an episodic, fantasy/adventure monster-of-the-week comic where the MC mostly tries to solve problems with (humanoid) monster fucking. There will probably be some continuity, but I don't have any plans for an over-arching plot or anything like that.
Zachary Baker
Spanish is a great language to name things... for people who speak english.
I mean, dont take me wrong, Spanish sounds fantastic, especially for city names indeed, but for my spanish readers the effect wouldnt be that great. As for the names of the places in there, most arent actually made up - they are named after stars: Deneb Algedi, Sadalsuud, Rasalhague, Betelgeuse, Antares etc et etc. In story the places named after stars were named by the Kiel fallen imperium. Places like Isla de la Luna are relatively new in their discovery and were named by the "barbaric" habitants who discovered them after the fall of the empire.
Lincoln Carter
So do Spanish speakers hear Florida and Colorado and think "... flowery and reddish seem like strange names for places."? It seems so obvious that they would, I can't believe I've never fully realized that.
Christian Reyes
Yes and no. If we hear them for the first time, like we would in a novel? Absolutely.
In everydays life? Nah, I just think of cities.
That said, there is the "using spanish words" to name and then there is the "using spanish-sounding words". For example, lets say, Malaena Asunta definitely sounds spanish but means jackshit. Just to make up a random city name on the spot.
Parker Russell
Yeah, that’s what I meant. Sounds interesting user. I’m up for anything that might feature a vampire or two, so I’ll keep an eye out for it.
Ayden Allen
By "jackshit" I meant it doesnt mean anything at all despite sounding like spanish, im not sure if that made sense.
Gavin Russell
Thanks, user. I wasn't actually sure if anyone in these threads would be interested in gay porn, but now I may actually get up the courage to post some of the SFW pages here.
Chase Gomez
I don't think there's anything wrong with using foreign words as places, names for characters/items/etc.
In fact, it kind of enhances. I can guarantee that if you've played a video game--especially an RPG, or an action/adventure game--most all of its weapons and locations and stuff are either close to, or directly named after existing Japanese/European/etc places or weapons.
It has a tendency to sound mysterious and exotic when you use words from other languages, and you can bet other countries do the same thing. People love to shit on people who make manga/anime inspired comics and use some Japanese words/etc, when Japanese creators us English in manga/anime/video games because it sounds and looks exotic to them.
Asian languages/writing/characters just have such a complex and unusual look to them to anyone outside of that region, that people like to use them just because they tend to lend themselves to visual aesthetics and design as well.
I love when people do that shit.
Thomas Reyes
sure!
Julian Myers
we sharing maps? mine's shite and it doesnt even cover all the places they've gone
I don't want to make a webcomic, I want to make a webmanga! Help me!
Austin Flores
do it retard
Nathaniel Cook
Damn now i wish i had a map. I purposely kept my setting as loose as possible so i can do whatever i want and send my characters wherever i want. Tower city is the only concrete location I have.
Maybe i could do a tourist map of just the city. >Come see all the great sights of Tower City! >Like our tower, who's claim to fame is that its the only tower that survives kaiju attacks! >Or see our many Sentai bases, where our city's proud rangers stand ready to defend the city from frequent kaiju attacks. >Or our lovely forests and mountains that are full of kaiju >We also have a lovely historic downtown that is the epicenter of multiple kaiju attacks. >We recommend avoiding the scrapyard, due to a crazed fat guy and his robot... and frequent kaiju attacks. >brought to you by the Tower City Tourism committee.
James Walker
I can't help you, I'm too busy not doing MY webmanga
Caleb Campbell
I'm not retarded I have a tiny dick
Help me anyway by selling your webmanga to me
Benjamin Watson
You don't need a map anyway, I just assumed it was a more fun version of real life
Sebastian Morris
do a shonen manga about your tiny dick. give it powers and have it fight to be the best. also there should be a tournament arc.
Jace Brown
i agree, i just think they are cool.
Lucas Sanders
i will resume my webcomic(s) in 2 days, probably
William Anderson
maybe we could work on mine togedda
Jackson Rivera
they are I know! Have part of your comic take place in some interesting far-off land, and have a panel of people looking at a map of it, planning their route, and put in funny pun names of places there.
Cooper Martin
bump?
Matthew Allen
Is there a right way to write a script? Because I’m writing it mine out and I feel like it looks more like a story than a script.
Jeremiah Kelly
post it for transients guy
Hunter Phillips
It's not an unheard of idea: Naruto did it, My Hero Academia too maybe? I don't know, point is: nobody will think you ripped off Mao Mao if you go for it. Don't watch Mao Mao in order to avoid it inadvertently seeping into YOUR creative vision. That shit happens subconsciously
Ah shit now I'm tempted to flex MY worldbuilding muscles, too bad the map for me world is on my main computer, not this one
Levi Ramirez
You need the script for two things: 1) dialogue; 2) framing. With framing I mean how you want a certain panel to look, from which angle it's going to be shot, what the characters' position will be in it. If your script sounds more like a story it's not a bad thing per se, although it does sound like you're doing more work than you need. Personally, I reserve accurate panel descriptions only for scenes that need it most (important scenes usually), lesser scenes get a pretty basic description if dialogueless or none (dialogue only): there's times when I'm just too lazy to write stuff down and I'll just figure shit out when I'll actually draw the thing.
Let me show you an example of my script: ----- 34 [
I’ll post it later... Hopefully. Seems like I have some revisions to do now. Yeah, I’m doing it all wrong because I didn’t put any framing anywhere in the script and I don’t have my scenes numbered either.. I have dialogue though. So that’s something I guess.
Nathaniel Davis
>I have dialogue though. So that’s something I guess. That's everything my dude. Panel/frame descriptions make it easier to picture a shot but dialogue and internal consistency (i.e. adhering to the rules of your world) are what's really important in the end. So long as you nail those you're set, framing descriptions are secondary (but still recommended, it all depends on your needs)
I voted for wacky races, but looks like voice is winning. I don't really have good setup though. I wonder if there are some voice changer option out there that allow me to voice girls.
>Voicing characters Well that's an event that won't happen. Goddamn. You're making the catfight contest user look competent.
Joshua Jackson
I don't write
Jack White
What do you like to do?
Kevin Morales
Then there is no point in talking to you about any kind of event, sorry user.
Yeah im wondering how many would actually participate in that. But well, we will see. I know I will.
Luke King
>Get told a couple of threads ago to just do the wacky races thing >"No user I want to have 100 polls to make it fair" >Literally have people right now that drew the fucking cars anyway saying they won't do the stupid voice over bullshit
well the advice is the same even if you were stop beating yourself up. Imagine yourself as somebody else and you as still you. Would you treat someone the way you're treating you? Getting embarrassed about their art?
Camden Wood
got most of part two sketched out. hopefully, this chapter won't be more than three parts long.
had a premise for a magical girl series called: Why Do I Have To Be A Magical Girl?
women from the magical girl dimension have begun to marry and have children with human men to produce more magical girls to defend Earth from evil, but one day rather than giving birth too magical girls she instead give birth two a pair of twins a boy and a girl. long story short the girl Jaclyn becomes a powerful magical girl but gets seriously injured and now her brother Jason has to take her place due being 50% magical girl despite being a boy he even has the transformation and everything.
Luke Sullivan
Sounds like you just want to write about crossdressing boys but I like it.
Adrian King
That's a good premise. Shit like that really feels better when there's a backstory that justifies it, so it's not just SheZow
Ryder Davis
not really literally based of a joke skit my friend told me
the main character is a teen going through puberty trying to deal with all this bullshit in his life. his sister is an arrogant asshole coaching him to fill her place in the League of Magical girls.
Owen Morris
I would love it if he's clearly this muscular teenage lad with a wispy moustache and everything, with an ill-fitting magical girl costume appearing on him
Michael Lopez
That's pretty dope. Puts my current attempt at first page to shame.
Jonathan Ortiz
>stop beating yourself up. I can't get better if I don't criticize my work though.
Eli Allen
All his team members keep unknowingly sexually harassing or making sexual passes at him as a running gag
also had idea that after his first transformation he checks to see if his dick is still there.
Eli Kelly
There's a difference between properly analyzing and criticizing your own work and actively working to put yourself down. Every time I draw something I really like I see something posted by someone else that's a thousand times better in terms of composition and coloring and everything really. Bonus points if it's someone who's younger than me. But as hard as it is, I'm starting to learn not to let it get to me too much. Unless you're literally going to die within 24 hours this is not your final form, it's not even close to your final form. Just keep drawing and keep looking at your mistakes and what could be better, but don't think of your own art as "embarrassing" or other people will think that as well. Just look at the Admiral Pizza user, his art is not great but his sheer enthusiasm is seriously making me like him and his comic a lot more than I would if he posted weekly pages with comments about how much he sucks or something.
Ryan Ross
criticism is helping helping is love yeah that would be amusing
>or other people will think that as well Why do you think that?
>if he posted weekly pages with comments about how much he sucks or something. So, you want me to be as irrational as he is?
Elijah Lee
impossible* This poor potato-headed guy..
James Ross
I really think you should spell check.
Leo Long
Sounds like shezow but with an actual explanations for what the fuck is happening.
Ayden Diaz
>>or other people will think that as well >Why do you think that? What's with the stupid questions? I've been seeing this on /ic/ too. Are you trying to reinvent the Socratic method?
Jaxson Edwards
It's not a stupid question. I'm just asking why he thinks other people will somehow be embarrassed by my art even when I don't tell them that I'm embarrassed to show it.
Hudson Jackson

ADMIRAL PIZZA CROWDFUNDING UPDATE: I got an interview with one of the premier pizza magazines in the nation, i also became friends with one of the pizza cooks who got on the cover. He said he would mention my comic on his show!
Last night i went to the bar and gave out stickers and filers, a lot of people were impressed by my Zeal and enthusiasm-Also being charming and handsome helps. People handed me money and i made like 100 bucks it was really convenient because i quit my job! I will be hitting up some local pizza places for pledges, wish me luck!!
Sure it's a stupid question >Just keep drawing and keep looking at your mistakes and what could be better, but don't think of your own art as "embarrassing" or other people will think that as well. >Why do you think that?
>why he thinks other people will somehow be embarrassed by my art >even when I don't tell them that I'm embarrassed to show it. You had to specify this part, because it wasn't obvious from context, because it wasn't there Anyhow point remains-is this you? desuarchive.org/co/thread/108941657/#109008974
If someone's uniform matches their vehicle perfectly, and they're in front of it, it's probably a good idea to apply some lighting differences. Like a thing in the distance will be paler, right? because of air interference? I'm not actually any good at that stuff. The cyan accents give off a neat new-voltron vibe. and Cole is hot. Remind me to do fanart of her later.
Henry Rodriguez
Yeah, The colors will be tweaked as this chapter continues. I knew that as i did it and I'm not sure why i didnt fix it.
>Tfw finally made a cute girl that isnt a total goblin. I worked so hard to finally make one. Thank you! I didnt think it was possible.
How in god's name can he mope while watching Top Gear? I mean how is it biologically possible with the endorphin rush that comes just from hearing Clarkson's voice in the intro?
Noah Robinson
Hime cut is easy street for making a cute girl, but that's not a bad thing. When you're more confident, I want one with hair over one eye. Won't take long at this rate.
Alexander Perry
so I've never watched top gear, but I see commercials for it constantly, and I thought both of those names mentioned were men
Chase Kelly
They are, and they're getting up there in the years as well. Though their personalities were used as the basis for an anime about motorbikes called Bakuon!!. Watch the first one and decide if you like it, then watch the whole thing in the second. youtube.com/watch?v=ecJy33wZ17E youtube.com/watch?v=-q-3VK4JgE0
Mix of both also need intresting magical girl names anybody got one?
Nolan Flores
tsundere cube-chan
Ayden Sanchez
top gear's been around that long?
Austin Young
I've never heard that term before. It describes him perfectly!
David Davis
okay so he's from a lineage of mahou shoujo that come from another dimension.. is this dimension japanesey? what kind of visual/elemental themes will be present in his outfit? generally you can't go wrong with something Engrishy like Spicy Mace or Berry Tuesday but it might be funny to put in a double entendre about his honker.. something like THE MAGICAL GIRL OF THE HIDDEN WOOD (I'm a boy, dammit!), WAVING BLANCH (sounds like branch but also like blanche like he's inherited some girl-ass codename and his shit won't work if he doesn't say it properly) I mean the word 'uterus' fucking showed up in a sailormoon attack name. He could have some equally embarrassing power move with 'ovary' in it or something
Brandon Mitchell
y'all wilin' out there
this reminds me of that old flash series, blockhead
Robert Butler
you can kimda do whatever you want majo shoujo names, provided they are somewhat long winded. you have a two word minimum. no more heroes had a magical girl parody where the girls had names like Strawberry on the Shortcake or Blueberry Cheese Brownie. pick a theme and get ham handed with it. would be cool if the guys name tries to be cool but falls flat. Like "Dark Sparkle Unicorn" or siomething
Matthew Cook
I thought those were the names of attacks (I know they were Travis's attacks, but I thought he named them after Glastonbury's attacks), those were actually the names of the members of Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly Five? that's so fantastic. Weird I didn't know that.
Joseph Smith
Just thought of name for his mother her name is Crimson Currie btw this is not her Magical girl name but her actual name, should this like be a joke for magical girl moms? Because they weren't born on earth so they don't have human names instead they have Magical girl names?
Should there be like a Magical Immigration Services?
Kevin Carter
Just add some weeb shit
Josiah Flores
crimson curry is a great name. food plus color plus alliteration works great.
>magical girl immigration services WE NEED TO BUILD A WALL TO KEEP THE MAHOICANS OUT. THEY ARENT SENDING THEIR BEST, WE ARENT GETTING SAILOR SCOUTS, WE ARE GETTING CARDCAPTORS BRINGING ILLICIT MONSTERS ACROSS THE BORDER.
Thomas Myers
>the Leader is some salty old woman mad her husband left her for a magical girl
Carter Sullivan
seconding that Crimson Currie sounds great, even the spelling change makes it cuter. after all, Cutie/Cutey Honey was never established with a solid spelling, was it? But the thing is, most of the ones in fiction HAVE real names, even if it's something unusual... a Princess Something or a Half-of-the-Magical-Girl-Name followed by (or preceded by, obviously) a Normal Family Name... It depends on whether the fiction exists in this world too, based on the 'real thing' of the people coming from another dimension to save earth
If her REAL name is Crimson Currie it just begs the question of whether her son shares one of those names, and then it becomes a whole MLP thing like how do people pass down names in this setting...
Gabriel Campbell
I swear you guys would write my comic better than I would.
Chase Lewis
Nah, i can only do word play and crack jokes on the little i'm given. Only you can give your story substance.
Logan Nelson
>ROUND UP THESE WAND WAVERS AND SEND EM BACK!
>GOD DAM WAND WAVERS TAKEN ALL THE MONSTER KILLIN JOBS FROM US REAL EARTH FOLK!

His name is Jason Currie his Sister Jaclyn Currie his father is Just Robert.

The mother should have PTSD
Blake Peterson
i like it
Owen James
woah! much appreciated! this cam out real nice!

Admiral pizza is the premier pizza COMIC not only in the nation, but the world.
Quick image of a future major character to FaustFall: Wulf, the Bastard.
>Solid as always, anti vacui man.
Thanks mate! I'll be making some especially anti vacui in the near future!
>This linework must take forever
It certainly takes several hours to finish them, but I'm so used to the process by now, lol. Most of the lines were made with g-pen, which helped streamline my line weighs.
man i gotta read more comics more often because that actually gives me a lot more motivation to work on my own i also need to stop worrying about the length of this thing, because even though the planning document is so long it's just because it's pretty wordy, the chapters themselves aren't really as long as i keep thinking. it's still probably going to take me several fucking years to complete though. i just hope it doesn't take me any longer than 5
Parker Taylor
Don't worry about how long this takes. It looks great to me.
Carter Martinez
Do you use same line size for everything?
Anthony Edwards
which one is your comic?
Jackson Cox
Do you have any guide with every character?
Xavier Gonzalez
I must be overthinking this, because an offer for QnA is more anxiety inducing than just popping a page out there.
is it really? well now we know the edition for the next thread. new thread guy, you here?
Easton Scott
It's a completely different kind of thing your brain has to figure out now, understandable to be nervous. 1. 3 should be the header icon or something
Connor James
oh i'm not him, haven't shown my work yet none ITT, have a few pages done but i haven't posted any of my stuff here yet because i want to put the first thing i'm working on all out at once since it's only around 23 pages. i'm just worried i'll fall into the inevitable webcomic hiatus cycle with my larger project
Oliver Foster
Seems like voicing won. Only for one vote against fashion. Do I suggest both events and let anons choose or we go with voicing for this first one?
Cooper Reed
>dat episode hnnnggg. I love it you used an apostrophe on 'dogs' though.
Colton Carter
oh god, thanks, i'll go fix it later.
Dominic Ross
Let's just do this one first, and remind everyone that more events will be coming soon, so if you don't like this one, you might like the next one better. That's my vote anyway, I'm not the boss.
Eli Bell
its my vote too to be honest but I needed another opinion. Aight then.
David Carter
not all of them, but I make up stuff on the spot anyway.
I'm learning how to draw for 3 month now. Probably tomorrow i will post first page.
Landon Sanders
>one-shot cooking webcomic. did you just make this for fun or something? I know its /hyw/ but it seems so weird and made for no one. none of these plebs can afford steaks. I enjoyed the drawings though.
Blake Scott
>look at 1st episode >look at last episode are there any other comics out there where the art becomes worse as time goes on?
Luke Davis
dewds
Julian Russell
But it got better.
Dylan Gutierrez
How many of you here ever accidentally didn't save and had their program crashed?
Cameron Foster
Rare, but one thing that has happened is I was working on a new layer, filled it with white without realizing, flattened it without thinking, and lost all my progress. or the same but for part of it only..
heyy so.. new thread guy isn't here I take it?
Bentley Young
>none of these plebs can afford steaks. I can, I just don't go outside.
