deal with the devil. She can become ridiculously powerful, but every time she uses her powers she loses some of her lifespan. The more powerful she chooses to be, the more time she loses.

This WOULD be a compelling character point, but the writers just use it as an excuse to let her effortlessly beat up anyone. Let's be real, she's never going to die.

She IS strong as fuck, that's the whole point of her power but it needs to be reigned in. You have a hell of a drawback on a power like that because otherwise it'd be overpowered and therefore boring, the drawback makes a boring set of powers more interesting.
So ignoring the drawback puts you back to square one.
