With all the remakes we got or are getting this decade (rugrats, powerpuff girls, animaniacs, ducktales, scoobydoo... ) when are we getting a revival of the DCAU ??

Why would we want one?
They already tried tho.
Not if the writers are allowed to include mature themes and the show is full of suddenly out of place gore.
Justice League vs Fatal Five came out just this year, OP
An Injustice league with
>Deathstroke
>Circe
>Black Adam
>Sinestro
>Reverse Flash
>Ma'alefa'ak
>Black Manta
would be pretty cool
Hopefully not
That’s not a revival. Both that and Fatal Five is just WB/Timm tricking people into buying it. Neither are DCAU canon
>Tried
I’m at work, can’t watch, what are these videos supposed to prove? Because how the fuck is Fatal Five canon when The League doesn’t know about them? Green Arrow and Green Lantern already met them, and that entire episode wrote off Supergirl
Had you'd watch them you'd have your answer
Well I can’t right now, so elaborate your point you lazy shit
Just watch it
>tried and gave up after the musical
Zoom with Wally's face? Come on.
The creator of DCAU: "It's canon, get over it"
But, no, we should believe some random anonymous shitter that it is not.
>when The League doesn’t know about them
None of the characters that encountered the Fatal Five were in the movie. "Oh, these must be those future villains Green Lantern mentioned that other time" would sound STUPID.
If you think THIS is a continuity mistake, why aren't you screaming the whole of DCAU is non-canon? It had much bigger inconsistencies during the original run of the show, including Joker's deaths, Doomsday's status, Catwoman's timeline.
It’s a pretty big fucking plot hole, user. What, you think Stewart and Queen didn’t tell Superman where Kara went? The League being ignorant to their existence is fucking dumb
>DC wants easy money
>Timm makes 2 movies that have the old DCAU style for nostalgia bucks
>”Yeah it’s canon, now buy it”
Dini was the real brains, not Timm
GIVE ME A FUCKING FLASH CARTOON ALREADY!!! I WANNA SEE THE ROGUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate how they have the same pose and body type
So when do Hal and Guy become Green Lanterns in the DCAU?
Could GLTAS be considered cannon at all? It always felt like a DCAU show in spirit (and design somewhat) at least.
This is not your generic JLU episode. It's supposed to be a movie that can stand on its own. Hell, it already had enough continuity easter eggs despite that. Having Superman stop Brainy at Starboy's funeral to ask "Hey, how is Kara doing? Remember Stewart and Queen? They are on Thanagar now!" would break the tension.
Why don't you watch the creator's commentary for the movie, where they discuss that issue?
>Implying Dini wouldn't endorse nostalgia bucks shit
The man has recently oublished "Mad Love" as a novel, for bald fuck's sake
No, they had different lanterns survive/die throughout the shows.
SURPRISINGLY, one of the last episodes of "Justice League Action", of all things, implied that it's in the same universe as GLTAS
Same desu
>Why don't you watch the creator's commentary for the movie, where they discuss that issue?
Why don’t you paraphrase what they said? I was asking a question, friend.
Why are you getting so fucking defensive over this? Timm, is that you? Also your logic is bullshit. That’s not fucking with pacing, it’s a gaping plot hole people naturally are calling out. It LOOKS like the DCAU, but it’s clearly not, and made so for easy cash
Timm’s artsyle evolved to have barely any variety in body types.
I don't know. Feels like DCAU can be a lot required viewing and most execs just want you to start from scratch. Most I can see is continued "these are totally cannon to the DCAU, ya know so long as you're dumb enough to buy them" half assed DTVDs. Or maybe a cheap random comedy show akin to GO! with some of the original VAs.
Okay, sorry, I guess I was too snide about it.
They say that it's not the previous situation (when Jordan appeared due to "timeline shifts"), but rather that Guy was established as a Green Lantern at a later time period after the JLU events (but before Beyond, of course), while when Hal became a Green Lantern is still in the works.
(In some forgotten DCAU-adjacent stuff, we have magazines that suggested that Hal was established in the universe as Parallax, of all things, but this was never brought to the big screen like some other storylines from the magazines which ended up to Timm and Dini's liking).
Basically, "they became GLs in post-JLU period" is what they settled down on. Unless you count DCAU-adjacent magazines in canon (some contradict the later cartoons, so...), which established all Green Lanterns back down to Alan Scott.
Short version; Timm making up bullshit so he can call this canon and thus sell it as DCAU. Commentary shouldnt be “required reading” for fuck sake. And that still doesn’t explain the Fatal Five retcon
>Why are you getting so fucking defensive over this?
Because you are wrong and proud in your ignorance? If Bruce motherfucking Timm says "It's DCAU", then it is DCAU. Full stop. Nobody ELSE makes up what the "Timmverse" is but Bruce Timm.
>It LOOKS like the DCAU, but it’s clearly not
We had that situation with "Brainiac Attack", where something like that was officially established ("same designs, different universe"). Here we had the creators saying that it is the same universe, from the start.
>a gaping plot hole
No. It is not. It is an omission, which the writers have made knowingly.
> and made so for easy cash
What do you THINK the DCAU was made for? Pure artistic integrity?
The DCAU and 2003 Teen Titans had their time. It's over. I'd rather see other shows that were cut off before they could do more, like LoSH, GL:TAS, BtB, or JLA.
>Short version; Timm making up bullshit so he can call this canon and thus sell it as DCAU. Commentary shouldnt be “required reading” for fuck sake.
The fact that the writers looked into this issue should tell you that they DO care about the DCAU's integrity as much as you do. And, of course, they also make money out of it. They always had.
Just like real comics.
There's so much stuff left unexplored in the DCAU, they could easily make three more JLU seasons.
>Timmverse
Bull shit it’s his universe. If Dini says it’s canon, I’ll believe it. Timm is the Bob Kane of the DCAU. And you hand waving such a plot hole just makes you as stupid as him
because it was amazing. you ignorant sow
The DCAU story is done.
Go to bed, Timm. The nurse will be buy to bring your medicine and you don't want her to find you wondering around again.
Never
feeling threatened fitlet?
Not really. Pretty meh.
No
This
We need a new DCAU
I hope not. The DCAU absolutely ruined Wondy for an entire generation and change, all because Timm and Dini are retards who thought that warrior woman=fun hating asshole. Those hacks and their legacy can stay fucked off.
Lolwut
She wasn't like that at all
The WW BM was a fan favorite
>episode where rogue Amazon unleashes virus that kills all men
>WW sincerely doesn't see why this is a problem
Kill yourself.
Shippers should be rounded up and shot.
I agree but at the same time bat/ww made me horny
Wich episode was that?
I'd rather see them just order another season. A remake does not feel like it would be popular enough to avoid cancellation for too long.
just give a new shazam cartoon.
Way to miss the point of that episode, dumbass
They need to revive Dwayne McDuffie's decaying corpse first
Underrated post, that's a great lineup.
dcau or not I just want a flash animated series
