How can one country be so devoid of talent?

How can one country be so devoid of talent?

It's called being a depressing, cultureless void. (Now also impoverished)
Don't worry though Americans, you'll find out soon enough.

The best cartoon of all time is Canadian user.

>3 seasons of the worst cartoon cliches and stereotypes known to man
>1 season of actual mystery
I think you're off your meds user

when a country is only known for geese and maple syrup, nobody gives a shit about what else comes from there

Lolwut are you mad mate ?
The first season only was full of clichés only to brilliantly subvert them the next season
And the mystery lasted the entire series, you never knew whom was a foe and whom was an ally

You sound like the kind of person who acts like California is a worse state than a flyover one.
That is to say, an astroturfing political shill.

>made some of the best vidya
>devoid of talent

Are you literally underage by any chance?

The first two seasons screamed BABY'S FIRST MYSTERY, everything was so obvious you could see it coming like 10 episodes in advance. Season 3 was marginally better only because it was setting up the pyramid stuff.

And 99% of the hackneyed cliches were never subverted at all. Biffy is literally the only exception, all the other stereotypical characters started out terrible and stayed that way.

It's better than the vast majority of Canadian cartoons, I'll give you that. But it doesn't even come close to good US cartoons let alone great ones

That’s not Aqua Teen Hunger Force

cybersix, reboot, beast wars, code lyoko are canuck shows I like

>code lyoko
>Canadian

OK user that's enough Internet for you today

A lot of canadian talent tend to do voice work for cartoons, or migrate over to America to make it big.

I find that a lot of good US cartoons tend to be either hardworking, or have fun getting raunchy material past the censors.

huh, my wife keeps saying its french canadian so I took her word for it

okay I hate code lyoko now

Because the government funds their products. If anyone ever says art should be funded by the government point to sidekicks as an example of why that's a stupid argument

How many times does this have to be explained to you brainlets? The government funds Canadian media (not just TV) out of necessity. There is no natural market for it.

Without government funding, there would be no Canadian TV, radio, or even news media. Canadians actively refuse to watch home-grown content regardless of quality, as even the worst US shows get vastly more viewership than relatively decent Canadian stuff.

If you want Canada to have 100% US content (or 99% with 1% British) then you should say so, but don't pretend government funding is ruining Canadian media. It's a blatantly dishonest, ideological argument.

The CBC is cancer and needs to die.

>There is no natural market for it.
Holy shit only a fucking government stooge would think this. If the government didn't run Canada's media a private company would have most certainly popped up to take the reigns. That's like saying that Canada couldn't have a coffee chain without government help because it lacks the infrastructure. The only reason the government runs Canada's shitty media is to ensure they have control on what the population sees.

You don't have a wife.

This, along with the fact canadian government requires a certain percentage of tv programming in canada to be canadian made, so it's not over-saturated with US content so shit gets rushed out, literally made as filler.

Once again, extra slowly for you: almost nobody watches Canadian media - good or bad, private or public, government-funded or not. The tiny percentage of Canadians that does is not enough to support anything.

There is no "private industry" waiting in the wings here, contrary to libertarian assumption.
