Is Wasp really that iconic? Could Bumblebee perhaps have her own solo series? Janet has't really done much, and Nadia's books haven't sold very well. This isn't a company wars thread, I'm just curious how one would fix The Wasp, and how Bumblebee could stand out on her own.
Give Jan her original color scheme back maybe? I dunno I think comics are big enough for two shrinking ladies but it's just a matter of setting up villains for them to fight
Evan King
But I like Janet in yellow. Yeah I know the red is classic, but it's not like Iron Man is just gold/grey anymore.
Jordan Bell
Janet was really good in Busiek's Avengers run, probably the most competent leader the Avengers ever had. And she had a pretty iconic role in EMH. Not having her as a staple on The Avengers is a huge over sight, but then again, I don't want her written by hack Aaron anyway
I prefer Bumblebee to be honest, Wasp being a completelly normal woman without any skill besidess a suit made by someone else was always strange to me.
She is not even a genius businesswoman her daddy made her rich, she got no skills at all.
Gavin Gutierrez
janet. would you want stuff that calls back to pym and ultron or just leave it all behind?
Zachary Evans
I feel like Wasp is in the tier that Martian Manhunter at DC and Ant-Man is in Marvel - a vital member of the “A-list solo book-holding heroes band together as a team” group, especially as a founder of said group... but explicitly as a uniquely-gimmicked hero WITHOUT a solo series or supporting cast (fellow themed heroes, civilians, villains), as an enticement to read the team’s book and to provide a new personality the main heroes, ones with solo books, can bounce off of not found in their own corner of the universe.
Camden Thompson
Actually Janet's powers are all her. She's irradiated with Pym Particles
Nathaniel Cook
Well you need the Hank and Ultron stuff. They're her fucked up family. Is it weird that I've wanted Janet to be the "Edna Mode" of Marvel?
Jaxon Long
it's a core part of her history, but Hank and Janet should never be a couple again, just friends.
Michael Lopez
This could be really cute if done right and they're explicitly good ones.
>Hank constantly makes cool and useful upgrades to Janet's powers when possible >Janet hypes up Hank as the smartest guy she knows, allowing her influencer status to nab him valuable contracts and speaking appearances >they fret over each other and vet one another's new dates and love interests >affectionate to each other so much the other Avengers good-naturedly wonder if they're back together, but nah, they're just being cute to one another
Brody Wood
I would love Hank to be supportive of Janet's new boyfriend...but it really can't be Tony.
Alexander Ward
Isn't she one of the Agents of Wakanda in Aaron's book?
Josiah Hall
going to be written by Zub
Ayden Cook
The Wasp, Wasp, and Red Hornet should get a team book with Red Hornet as the bumbling sidekick.
Call it Hive
Mason Jenkins
>Hank Didn't he die and get his soul eaten?
Anthony Fisher
>There's a matriarchal secret society of were-wasps in Marvel that has existed for hundreds if not thousands of years >Literally never fucking interacted with Janet Make her the queen of the Sisterhood of the Wasp. Current one's been dead for years and Marvel almost never uses the group.
>Because Red Hornet is pic related Yes, that's who I meant. Hornet's niece.
Asher Cook
Yes...? But Marvel has been really dicey with what Pymtron is. We will have to wait for the pymtron event this fall to figure out what the hell is going on.
Kevin Miller
Red Locust has more appearances and relevancy than Red Hornet who had only shown up in a single story
they shouldnt be friends. you cant be friends with someone when you constantly remind them of the mistakes they made in your care
Asher Cooper
Jan's powers don't come from a suit, Nadia's do, Jan was both infused with Pym particles and genetically altered with wasp dna in order to grow wings. The process also have her the ability to charge up dielectric energy which she fired out as her wasp sting.
Nathan Anderson
>you cant be friends with someone when you constantly remind them of the mistakes they made in your care I mean that would explain why all the X-men hate each other.
James Bennett
you aren't friends with your parents?
Brayden Hughes
Isn’t the new Wasp gay?
Mason Murphy
Or bi. IIRC she's hooked up with the Viv twins.
Sebastian Anderson
She loves everyone
Ryder Edwards
No, she's bipolar maybe you're thinking about Vision's daughter.
Juan Garcia
my parents dont always bring up my faults when they get mad, or when it suits them. and i dont do it either
Carter Sullivan
ANT-MAN THE WASP AND STATURE COMING REAL REAL REAL SOON
Ian Gomez
Isn't she Stinger now?
Camden Morales
Astonishing X-Men proved you could make any character centric comic provided you've got a good plot
you shouldn't gauge reader interest. gauge writer interest.
Caleb Murphy
So how can we make Bumblebee cool?
Jace Ross
We need all our cute bug themed heroes in one team
Real shame that Ant-Man and Wasp are the only characters with a movie that don't have a book and only have minis. I guess Unstoppable Wasp counts but it was canceled and there was barely any Ant-Man in it.
Xavier Campbell
Give her and the atom a mini series
Angel Scott
To be fair Bucky doesn't have a book right now and he was the title character in Cap 2
Jordan Sanders
Beetle isn't a hero, user
Isaac Garcia
Maybe pivot to her being big, that was a lot of fun and she worked it well. Since cassie is stinger now you could try it
Call em Hive, and I want one cover where they all have beehive hairdoos
