Ditko's original suit was really red and black, the highlights were blue because it's just a comic thing (as in the symbiont suit, it's black but the reflexes are blue), but on real life (specially with the classic design, the superior Spider and Alex Ross' designs are kino and work just fine) it kinda sucks. But I get why they choose to go this way

the colouring of the suit was close to perfect. It jad a very nice deep red and the dark navy blue looked black a lot of the time but would become slightly blue where the light hit it.
The spider emblems were also really good.
The webbing and lenses though were god awful and making the webs organic was a dumb decision.
