You're right, user, i don't think anyone would tell you otherwise
Ok.
Only Ralph Breaks the Internet was bad, Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 were pure kino
the absolute state of western film animation
>Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4 were pure kino
>Incredibles 2 was literally a filler, useless cashgrab with a pathetic excuse of a villain
>Kino
Incredibles 2 was fine but not worth 15 years of waiting, WIR2 was meh, and TS4 was an atrocity
Frozen 2 will break the streak....right, guys??
Correct
Outside of Marvel, Disney is puking out nothing but vomit right now.
Is Frozen II going to join the trash heap, or is that actually going to be good?
Considering Frozen I was part of the trash heap, I don't see much hope.
Disney has been suffering pretty badly without Lassetter it would seem.
>they're all unnecessary sequels
The only actually fantastic Pixar film since Toy Story 3.
None are that great but WiR2 is on another level of shit, what a monkey's paw that was.
forgot pic
Which one, Coco or Inside Out?
i mean, it looks like they're basically letting the animators do whatever the fuck they want, since they know it's going to print money anyway
Ah. Yes. That will do. That will do.
>emoji movie
>ready player one
>wir2
It was fucking weird to see the same movie 3 times in one year.
I’m not a weeb but I think the Oscar for best animated film will go to Shinkai or Trigger.
What's even weirder is that Ready: Player One was the best movie of the three. Who could have predicted that?
But the second one sucked user.
I think the last Disney animated films that were better than just okay were Wreck it Ralph and Tangled.
I haven't seen Coco or Toy Story 4 though so I can't judge those but just about everything has been bland mush or standard by the numbers fare.
Yeah, check out Coco. It was pretty good. TS4 won't change your mind, that was pretty trash
Miss me yet?
>Non-Ghibli anime
The academy typically just gives Oscars to Disney or Ghibli films without watching any of the other entires.
Incredibles 2 wasn't bad at all. The only people who hate on it are adults mad it didn't live up their expectations, and Elastagirl got the most screentime (which I find odd to be a negative considering how much a boner Yea Forums has for her).
Coco was kino, even tho design wise Book of Life is better.
you're the reason frozen was full of shitty reindeer jokes so no
Mirai opened the door for non-Ghibli anime movies at the Oscars. And Disney lost to Sony this year.
I mostly agree but they REALLY wasted potential by having it take place DIRECTLY after the first movie which resulted in a largely rehashed plot and character moves
i didn't like it. i'm not mad at it. i just didn't think it was as good as the first one, or really a good continuation. and i like elastigirl. but what did we really learn about elastigirl from the new one we didn't already know? that she had a mohawk?
kek, anyone have that store sign advertising wir2 as best animated picture winner?
>Incredibles 2 wasn't bad at all
but
it kind of was though
Several or the judges straight up said that they only watched less than half of the entries with their kids.
Animation Oscar is a fucking joke and unironically worse than rotten tomatoes
thanks
absolutely shameless
though i'm amused they put doubledan on the cover.
Yes.
Still makes me laugh, Disney is spineless.
Know what the worst part is about being a Roger Rabbit fan?
Waiting over 10 years for a sequel that you were promised was coming only to find out that it was cancelled due to a feud between Eisner and Spielberg, the fact that it would have been too expensive, and the decline of interest in traditional animation.
Know what the best part is about being a Roger Rabbit fan?
Knowing that the current leadership at Disney hates the Roger Rabbit property so much that they will never bother defiling its corpse with a shitty remake or cheapy direct-to-video cheapquel, leaving the film to be one of the few unique, special snowflakes among big budget blockbusters, alongside 'E.T.'.
It's a shame the story was so retarded because everything else about the film was classic Pixar.
it got a tv series
they were talking about a sequel. then hoskins died.
the story is functional, we're just sick of twist villains coming one after the other and that discontent colors the film
Actually, Bonkers was created to replace Roger Rabbit. He was a response to an executive order by Eisner to have all the Roger Rabbit swag removed from the Disney Parks sometime in 1992, after Spielberg intentionally wasted millions of dollars of Disney's money by turning down several half-finished Roger Rabbit shorts that were meant to be included at the beginning of upcoming Disney live-action films. This is due to the fact that Spielberg was bitter at disney over the 'Rogercoaster Rabbit' short being used in front of 'Dick Tracy' instead of 'Arachnophobia'. Industry analysts at the time credits the Roger Rabbit shorts with boosting the box office revenue of 'Dick Tracy' and 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids', and Spielberg had partial control over the Roger Rabbit IP. But both Disney and Spielberg had to agree with shorts could be greenlit.
For the record, there was a 'Bonkers' short shown in front of the Disney film, 'The Three Ninjas'. Nobody remembers it. No one.
this
>Outside of Marvel
This is what MCU drones actually believe.
It's kinda funny that they didn't make adverts like this for Incredibles 2.
Don't worry, they'll be shitting the bed soon enough now that Downey and Evans are gone.
Incredibles 2 repeated the same formula as the first except
>no one grew/developed as a character
>no one really struggled
>the core concepts of heroism weren't explored
>the Parr family didn't grow closer
>Helen was wanked as a media darling hero while Bob was shown to be inept at housekeeping, which shows an obvious gender bias
>no lore was expanded on
Overall it was just filler. The Incredibles video game had a better premise than Incredibles 2.
no shit, they're for kids
Incredibles 2 was incredibly depressing in how mediocre it was. I can't believe Brad Bird directed it.
The first one still holds up and blows the sequel away in every way outside of animation.
I guess it had something to do with this:
cartoonbrew.com
Tbe best part is that this one has to have the best Disney twist villain of these recent times
I don't like how Hector/Miguel made the connection. For all they should have known Ernesto put that line in that movie as an homage to his friend
they put out a self-aggrandizing article about why you should vote it for best animated feature. cartoonbrew had a field day with it
Either I missed that or I forgot about it.
Link?
Cartoonbrew also put out an article begging the Academy to nominate some foreign animated films.
cartoonbrew.com
None of those were selected.
Tasteless moron.
He's right. The only people that like Frozen are fretishfags, literal fags, and people who still play with Barbie dolls (ie. little girls).
The rendered her ass differently and it was fucking cash
>wir2 thread
It wasn't even trash, it was worse; forgettable.
It wasn't as good as the first film, it wasn't as obscenely bad as the Emoji movie, and its awfulness didn't stem from anything unique to its presentation. It was fucking weak
My sister works for the Walt Disney Company and even her and her friends (who also work for Disney) also hate the film. It's a Disney film for the type of people who watch American Idol, essentially.
It's filler but I don't agree with you about the villain. He got away with the cash.
Still makes more money than your overrated anime movies

is there a reason this faggot isnt banned yet?
