Demon Slayer will be joining Toonami at an undetermined date this fall. It will likely replace either Super or Gundam.
This week, we start Gen:lock, at the prime hour of 11:30 no less. Expectations from the crowd were pretty low, and it failed to deliver, with a near record breaking 45% loss of viewers from Super. As it was the first week and many were tuning in out of curiosity, I’d say it will break the record soon enough. Everything else stayed low, but fairly consistent. Out of the goodness of his heart, Lupin took some of the heat off Gen:lock by yet again being a huge ratings pit in the middle of the schedule that people avoid and come back 30 minutes later. Lastly, the deathslot dream has weakened, but hasn’t died yet, still managing to beat 3 shows earlier in the night. Asta also seems to be getting back into the swing of things, as the third highest show of the night.
