It doesn't matter since you're dying anyway and your church is being burned down by a couple idiotic construction workers

I guess I should have asked "Was Frollo wrong or right?"

Wrong. He should have gotten laid way sooner, then Esmeralda's G-rated pole dance wouldn't have sent him off the deep end.

Ah, so fuck the ugos?

Cringe

Don’t judge by appearances or be prejudiced against others. Everyone has worth. Judge people instead by their actions.

Don't judge people by their appearance unless it's about sex.

Ah, yes, and ugly people have to do more to just be "accepted" while pretty people can just get by by not being "bad"

Yes. Even an ugo should have sufficed. Quasi was right there.

>make Phoebus the good guy in the cartoon
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Yup, which is completely true. It's a harsh lesson, but true to life.

Chad = good
Incels = bad

If you're uggo, you'll never get the girl. Incels are terrorists.

FPBP

>The people who get mad that Quasimodo didnt get Esmeralda
So you like being lied to?
Get real, only a teratophile could be attracted to him.

Don't kill the hucksters living in the skeleton sewers that summarily execute trespassers for not having criminal histories.

Not doing the babyswap but still having most of the gypsies be serial killer sociopaths that live surrounded by corpses was kinda fucked.

The moral is this gay earth didn't deserve Tony Jay's voice and thus it was removed.

I can never remember his name off hand, but when a thread about best villain voices came up, I took it as a serious question and he was the answer I came to after a bunch of research and debate.

Good actor. One of the best.

>Make Frollo a judge instead of a priest
Haha I guess?

basically irrevelent compared to that fuck up.

If you are ugly you have to wait til the inferior direct to video sequel to get the girl.

Victor fucking Hugo made it so Frollo was no longer a priest in the fucking opera version because the church threw a bitch fit. That was in no way a new change.

Also from the opera. Phoebus dies while saving Esmeralda in it.

There were several.
1) Don't judge people by their appearances. Even people who look hideous can be kind.
2) Don't mindlessly follow doctrine or do as your told. Question authority and follow your conscience.
3) You shouldn't try to control people, and sometimes loving somebody means you have to let them go.

>construction workers
Suuuuuuuuuuuure.

Chads don't have to try, incels try too hard.

Quasimodo and Frollo are equally ugly on the inside when it comes to imposing their fantasies on Esmeralda.
The only difference is Quasimodo learns to move past it because ultimately he values Esmerelda's friendship and personal agency; while Frollo doesn't. That's the whole movie.

This is legitimately true. People have an inherent bias towards those that they consider "handsome" or "beautiful", giving them more leeway in their actions even if they're horrible. People who are considered ugly don't have that leeway and have to work extra hard to be respected. It seems to be based on a very primal reproductive instinct from what I can tell, but I could be wrong.

Being good is it's own reward and that your misfortunes, born or inflected, don't have to define you. If you are ugly you probably won't get the girl, but that's okay too, because there are other good things in life. Don't just blindly follow orders and be accountable for your own deeds. Don't get lost in jealousy, greed, hate, or persue vengence until they destroy you, because life is too short.

Generally pretty wholesome and it doesn't sugar coat life. It's probably why modern Disney seems ashamed of it.

You can't get beautiful girl's love if you have disability.

have sex

>couple idiotic construction workers
Yes that is what happened

Probably some mid 1800s French Social Justice bullshit like everything Victor Hugo wrote.
Dumas is for Patricians.

> If you are ugly you probably won't get the girl, but that's okay too, because there are other good things in life

like fucking what?

society will tolerate you but never truly accept you.

A beautiful beach with blue waters, an atmospheric rainy day, good food and drink, more good books, movies, tv shows, games and so on than you could ever even scratch the surface of, watching life unfold, technological advancement, travel, and honestly, the list could go on and on.

Getting your dick wet isn't a life goal and a romantic partner is great but also just another relationship at the end of the day and is never as great as those opening weeks and months. Before long you are just friends who occasionally fuck, which can be replaced with just having friends and fucking the occasional one night stand, if you really must be degenerate.

nobody believes the faulty electricity in such a place. The only doubt you can have if whether it was really accidental or not.

Chicks will give you pity sex if you're ugly enough

The only moral of Hunchback is to respect architecture

Well, technically speaking, anyone can get 'sex' whether by just going out and looking for it often enough that they luck out or just by paying. It's the love a beautiful (outside and inside) people really want, and I honestly suspect the last part doesn't exist. Every single woman I have ever met is self-centered and their love and attachment is, at it's core, all about them too. Then again maybe I'm just a jaded fuck, but the more women I date, the less interested I become in settling down.

It is ok to feel desire. But no good person will think that others owe you the satisfaction of your desires. Its ok to want to be loved. Its evil to demand it against the other person's will or choice. Being ugly is hard. Rejection is hard.

But the main one is:
Look how fucked up is a society built on prejudice

The moral was, don't take beautiful looking animation for granted because it won't be around forever.

Real beauty is on the inside, but there's a limit

Don't be ugly.
If you're ugly the best you can hope to be is a minority's "friend".

Don’t judge a person based on looks. Unless it’s about sex, then you’re never getting laid like ever.

No matter how much you deny it, you're into it

just bee yourself.

The moral is stop sinning, from the hunchback to Frollo

don't judge people for their apperances and don't be a creepy stalker / sexual Harasser like Frollo.

Moral in the original book? "Lmao human life doesn't matter now look at this nice building"

only ultra chads trully get the love from a woman, and no money or "good intentions" can change that. Chicks lust the cock.

>don't be an orbiter
All kids should learn that as soon as possible

But largely true to life

Gypsies deserve death

If you're unattractive or old, no one will love you, even if you save the day, not even the woman you white knight for.

>What is the Halo Effect

The most vile people are the ones who call themselves god's servants while judging the weak and poor

So when Hunchback inevitably gets remade, because it of course it will, do you think they'll incorporate some shit from the musical? My bets are no, but it'd be interesting if songs like "Made of Stone" were somehow incorporated

WE MUST END WITH THE PRETTY PRIVILEGE! THE UGLYPHOBIA MUST BE STOPPED NOW!

The stage musical spells out the message kinda well, though it has a more book-faithful ending
>The world is cruel
>The world is ugly
>but there are times and there are people when the world is not
>and at its cruelest it’s still the only world we’ve got

At what point do the things we value dehumanize a persom, quasi modo means almost human he is exiled to his tower and scorned by the towns people for his physical attributes while his integrity and good intentions are disregarded eameralda is a gypsy and as thus an outsider due to social stigmas at the time, value of a person shouldnt rely on arbitary or superficial means, and true self worth is cultivated whithin the self.
