If they drew the girls like "normal" girls and not blob people?

I would watch a TV-PG Powerpuff Girls reboot where the girls are drawn like normal humans and the fights are more intense, and the issues the show deals with are more overtly "grown up." Imagine a mashup between 2003 Teen Titans and Pretty Cure. That's what the reboot I'm envisioning would be like.

Wouldn't that work better as a timeskip than a reboot? You could play off the design difference being due to how the girls see the world around them and themselves differently than how they did as kids.

Listen and listen well. Western Media won't improve and get rid of political correct writers, animators, directors, producers, etc until 15-20 years from now. You see after all those years pass and in general companies learn that politically correct SJW garbage doesn't usually make profits? Don't get offended, but western TV PG is the new Y7. It's worthless. You want worthwhile? It needs to be TV-14 just like that Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover where the fights had a lot of weight and actual risk and they didn't even go overboard with it as if they were going through an edgy phase either so it was enjoyable. But yes TV-PG for any kind of action is very worthless.

Not blessed Satanon , but it strikes me personally as lazy to just have the tomboy wear pants when you have a pattern established. A good character designer should be able to make a girl in a skirt look gruff and tomboyish like Buttercup.

I didn't say Make them older, just said "make them not blob people". The question is about whether you think the PPG have to be kind of circle people for the series to work, or if you think the series and its humor could still function if they drew the characters like "normal" humans.

I’d do a RowdyRuff Boys spin-off. Which would be either Mrs. Keane or Mrs. Bellum trying to raise these crazy kids by herself. And the boys growing to understand what love is and slowly (VERY slowly) becoming heroes.

Also I’d have Him and Mojo visit once or twice acting like an old married couple and trying to convince the kids to come back and become their minions. Mojo comes alone first and then he brings HIM for back up, but they end up bickering between each other and forget all about the boys.

Heartcatch Precure has a perfect example of that kind of character even if she is inherently more girly than Buttercup.

That Buttercup looks like a pretty solid design for a completely different character
